00:00Craig ain't here. It's a segment we'll be doing all week, and this is part one, because Craig ain't here.
00:06Look at the Tyrone Johnson Show logo right there. For these next few minutes, it's for me, all right?
00:10And for you guys, too, because I know you want to talk about it, but Craig doesn't allow this,
00:14so today we're going to get right to it. And we're going to do, and remember, when Craig makes a list,
00:20I'm going to use the same rule as him, because it's his rule. There's no debating this list.
00:24This is the definitive list, okay? And we're going to do different things each day that are definitive,
00:30and there's no argument, so I don't want to see anything in the comments or complaining.
00:34This is definitive, and we're doing the top five NBA players in order definitively.
00:40And let's get to number five. Number five is Steph Curry. Yes, Stephen Curry, the stud from Davidson University
00:48that changed the whole NBA. In all seriousness, you see the resume. He's got a couple MVPs.
00:52He's got four titles. Steph is fifth, in large part because of impact on the game.
00:58You now have a whole generation of high school, little league coaches who are furious
01:03because all Steph does. All the kids want to shoot threes like Steph.
01:07He has changed the game. No one expected it. And I also have to say that the fact that he's doing this
01:14at 38 years old, at the level that he's doing it, not only is he the greatest shooter to ever live,
01:19when they talk about genetic freaks, they talked about Julius Peppers, and they talk about LeBron,
01:23who might come up in this top five list in a little while. I'm going to say it right now.
01:26Steph Curry is as big a genetic freak to still be able to shoot the ball from range at his size,
01:33at his age, as anybody that ever play in that league. The first thing to go when you're playing
01:38pro sports are the legs. And when the legs go, that jump shot gets flat. And you know that just from
01:45your YMCA days, anybody out there right now, you go in there to shoot, you know that you got to do
01:49a lot of extra effort to get those shots up. He's the number five greatest player to ever live.
01:54Steph Curry. Number four, Magic Johnson, three MVPs, five titles. And you know, people forget
02:00he was in his young thirties when he unfortunately got the HIV virus. Um, I have to, I have to wonder
02:07would he have gotten a sixth ring? Would he have gotten a seventh ring? We know he lost his last
02:11full season. Um, as a, as a player, he lost to Michael Jordan there. Could that have been a
02:15little bit of a ride, a rivalry? Magic was not an old man. When that happened, he's probably
02:19getting forgotten because of the business and his terrible tweets where he'll go. The person
02:24who wins this game will be Indiana will be in the Superbowl. Like Magic's tweets are more
02:30famous to him right now, but Magic Johnson underrated with this generation. If kids, if you don't
02:34know about them, then check up on them, Google them. You can Google that. Um, but definitively
02:39he is the third, uh, fourth greatest player of all time. Number three, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
02:45who does not get nearly enough credit. And I almost made him number two, to be honest,
02:49six MVPs and six rings. It just, when they talk about Jordan with his six rings, they talk
02:55about that all the time. And the reason, but they never talk about it with Kareem. And
02:59the reason he's a front of Magic is Magic's one of his titles. People forget as a rookie,
03:04they talk about he jumped center against my Sixers. And I've heard about this literally
03:07my whole life. If you're not from Philadelphia, you probably don't have the PTSD of it. He
03:11was a rookie. Yeah. Kareem was the MVP of the league that year. He's number two all
03:16time in points. And because he was understated, I think that's why he doesn't get talked about.
03:21And I still want to know, I know it doesn't quote unquote, look cool. I'm waiting for some
03:26big man to do the sky hook. It's completely unblockable. You have to figure at some point,
03:31somebody's going to try to copy this shot. And this is where, uh, the next one, remember
03:36this is definitive list. So no notes. I don't want any comments about this. The number two
03:41basketball player of all time is Michael Jordan. Number two, all time. And for people out there
03:47to think that's somehow an insult, think about how many people have played basketball. Everybody
03:51that's watching, everybody's listening. Everybody's played basketball. If everyone has ever walked
03:55to earth playing the game, saying that someone's second is not an insult. Okay. For me, the reason
04:01he's second and not first. All right. First of all, the five MVPs, the six titles, six
04:05it up. They talk about load management today and people hate load management. Why do we
04:09not count his load management year and a half? Okay. The game, it got to be too much for him
04:14for a lot of reasons. And he had a load management year and a half that right there. Plus his
04:20wizards game, uh, wizards time that counts. That moves them down to second. And the number
04:25one player of all time, a player who's been maligned on this show more than anyone else.
04:30Nay, a man who's been maligned more than any athlete to ever live. LeBron James, the number
04:36one player of all time in the NBA, four time MVP. All right. Four NBA titles, number one
04:44all time in scoring number four, all time in assists, still averaging over 20 points a game
04:48at literally his, I talked to his mama yesterday, whatever they have him listed. He's actually 53
04:53years old. Okay. This man is 53 years old. Okay. Don't listen when people tell you that
04:59he's in his forties, he's 53 years old, still averaging 20 points a game. The most, the most
05:03scrutinized player in his entire life. That is the list. Curry, Magic, Kareem, Michael
05:09at number one, cause Craig ain't here. LeBron James, the number one player of all time. Number
05:18one of all time.
