00:00Mike, I hate to even ask this because it gives more breath to the conspiracy that is out there.
00:07But after your answer to us last week when we asked about Josh McDaniels and the play calling and you called it cute,
00:13Wiggy and I have been fighting with everybody that there's no issue when it comes to you and Josh McDaniels,
00:18the working relationship, you respect each other and you believe in what he can do for this team.
00:22But there are people that ran with that and said that there's clearly a divide there.
00:26Can you just speak on that and put that to rest?
00:30There's no issue with any one of our coaches and me.
00:35If there's a problem, they know about it.
00:37Guys, this is like we're trying to win games.
00:41And this is, again, I didn't think I was going to get up so you can clearly see what I was going to put my snooze on here.
00:48Sorry, guys.
00:49Guys, what this coaching staff, Josh, Zach, Stretch, Jeremy, what they've been able to accomplish.
01:03Again, when we win, this is on our players.
01:05But our coaches have gotten a group of guys ready.
01:08And it's a blended group and it's a group that they try to bring together.
01:14And we have really done a nice job of coming together as a coaching staff and then focused on the players.
01:25And they all have different roles.
01:27And I'm extremely happy to have every single one of them.
01:32And so they're going to pick up the pieces.
01:35They're going to figure out who's available this week.
01:38And they're going to get the work already on the Jets and try to give our players the best chance.
01:44And they're going to pour into their players.
01:46And they're going to do everything that they've done.
01:48And so that's Josh included in every one of them.
01:53So that's about all we're going to stand there and talk about here with the staff or anything else.
01:59This is a collective group.
02:02And I am excited to be a part of it.
02:04Mike, just on that note about the we'll see who's available this week.
02:08Any updates on the recovery of Will Campbell or Milton Williams?
02:13Well, Will won't be out there based on the rules.
02:17And then we'll see if Milton can return to play or return to practice here this week.
02:24He's available to do that.
02:26I know you don't like talking about injuries.
02:28But just I got to ask, did you see the video of Will Campbell chugging the beer?
02:31And just if you enjoyed his form at the Celtics game, shirtless, pretty well done.
02:39I'm thinking about firing a strength coach the way he looked with his shirt off.
02:47Mike, a win like that, what does it do for your team when you go on a road, you play against a very good football team, you play in a hostile environment, you get down in the game, you're able to come back and win.
03:03What does it do for the confidence of your football team moving forward?
03:06Well, I mean, I think we needed to have that.
03:09We needed to be able to see what we could do.
03:11And, you know, it was a great environment.
03:13I mean, fantastic environment that our fans helped provide.
03:17I can't thank them enough for traveling to Baltimore and being there and watching that place empty out.
03:25But our fans remain and continue to cheer for us and our players.
03:31And so I think that's the first thing, you know, and then hopefully you can always, you know, draw on some of your experiences throughout the season.
03:39And this would be a good one to be able to have because it was a great environment.
03:44And when you played down there before, I understand how difficult it is.
03:48And did they give you any clarification on the non-pass interference call to Keyshawn Booty at the end of the game?
03:56Because we were trying to figure it out as somebody watching it.
04:00And I know I saw you talking to the officials.
04:04No, they explained to me, like I said, again, after the game that he had to survive the ground for it to be a catch.
04:11And I reminded them I was very aware of what the catch process is.
04:18And the National Football League.
04:20And that was all I got.
04:21All right.
04:22Mike, I mean, I know this isn't usually a place for gratitude, morning radio in Boston.
04:26But pretty remarkable where you guys are one year in here where you've clinched a playoff spot and close to clinching the division.
04:33Do you ever let yourself sit back and sort of feel good about where you are before preparing for the next game?
04:40I just feel good for our players and our coaches.
04:42And everybody here that works extremely hard, the support staff and everybody included.
04:50That's what I feel the best for.
04:53And I hope that you can feel that and appreciate that.
04:58I want the players to feel success and that their efforts at practice and meetings can be rewarded.
05:07Because it is a hard league.
05:09It is a difficult league to win in.
05:12And I just am happy for them.
05:16We've still got a lot of games to go and a lot of work to do.
05:20But, you know, excited for them.
05:22Well, it is Christmas.
05:23Do you have any plans?
05:24Are you able to celebrate with the family?
05:26I know you've got a lot of work still left to do.
05:28But it is the holiday season.
05:30So it dawned on me last night that this will be, I think, the first Christmas where both boys are gone to their girlfriend's family.
05:39So we are so low.
05:41And this is like, oh, they're growing up and they've got girlfriends that they're serious about.
05:47And they're going to see their family.
05:49So it will just be Jen and I.
05:52Enjoy it.
05:53That's nice, too, yeah.
05:54Ricky might show up.
05:55No, I know.
05:56Don't think that I'm not going to enjoy that.
05:59But it just dawned on me.
06:00Like, oh, there they go.
06:01They're going somewhere else.
06:04Are you like all the men in my life where they wait until the last minute for Christmas shopping?
06:07Or have you done all of that?
06:11Every day.
06:12When you're with me, Courtney, every day is Christmas.
06:15That is such a great answer.
06:17You know what?
06:18Let's end on that.
06:19So true.
06:19Well, Merry Christmas.
06:20It's such a delight to talk to you every week.
06:22We really appreciate it.
06:23Okay, guys.
06:25Have a great Christmas.
06:26And I appreciate everything that you guys do.
06:28And I'm going to go down and get me a shot.
06:32And I'll do a couple for you guys since we're not together in person.
06:36All right.
06:37Merry Christmas.
06:37Thank you, Mike.
06:38Merry Christmas.
06:38We'll talk to you next week.
