00:25Coach, Texas A&M not only has the stadium and environment
00:29advantage, they also have the defensive advantage,
00:33in my opinion, heading into this matchup.
00:37Well, first of all, you've got a quarterback, really,
00:39in Carson Beck that's not real mobile.
00:41He's going to be in that pocket.
00:42He's going to dump the ball off.
00:43He's going to dump the ball off or he's going to get hit hard.
00:46You've got the number one sack team in America.
00:48When you're talking about Texas A&M, 44 sacks,
00:51number one third down defense in the country.
00:54So I think Miami must be patient and run the football.
00:58Patient early on and run the football to protect their quarterback a little bit
01:02because if they get into a one-dimensional type of game
01:05and that defensive pass rush is coming after them,
01:09Carson Beck's not going to have a hard time getting away from them.
01:12Yeah, absolutely.
01:13And I think that's the one thing when you look at Miami,
01:16especially in big matchups, sometimes they come out flat.
01:19They came out flat in the road matchup to SMU.
01:23They laid six and a half points on the road in Dallas.
01:26That game went to overtime.
01:28They lost it 26-20 on the Friday night against an ACC opponent, Louisville.
01:33They laid 13 and a half points.
01:35They came out flat.
01:36They trailed 14 to nothing in the first half of that matchup
01:40and lost by three points.
01:42You come out flat against Texas A&M.
01:45That offense led by Marcel Reed and the Aggies could put up points.
01:49They have a dominant rushing attack led by Reuben Owens.
01:53Concepcion, the big play wide receiver, can do it all.
01:56He could stretch your defense over the top.
01:59This is an explosive, fast Texas A&M offense that's going to challenge you
02:04sideline to sideline but also vertically.
02:07And can the Miami defense contain the athleticism of Marcel Reed in this matchup?
02:14Well, I think they have talent as well because Miami's defense,
02:16if you look at them statistically,
02:18it's right up there with the top teams in the country as far as a rush defense,
02:22a pass defense, a great off defense that gets to sack the quarterback,
02:27number one in the country.
02:29So I think, yes, they can give Miami some problems there
02:33if the way they play on defense at Texas A&M.
02:36But I don't think Miami is going to have enough of a mixed offense
02:40with a run in the pass to have them beat Oklahoma.
02:44Yeah, Texas A&M 7-0 at home over the last three games of the regular season.
02:52You could say they were exposed to a degree.
02:55They laid 18.5 points to the Lenora Sellers in South Carolina.
02:59They trailed in the third quarter of that game in late November, 30-3.
03:04They did pull it out, 31-30.
03:07They then went on the road to face Texas and lost that game outright
03:11after leading at the half.
03:14And I think when you look at this team as a whole, psychologically,
03:17you want to get back on track.
03:19And this is a very dangerous offense in the Miami Hurricanes,
03:23especially with a veteran signal caller that has played in big matchups,
03:28including an SEC championship.
03:32Anytime I've got a game, it's about a three-and-a-half-point spot aligned.
03:36You've got to think these two teams are very, very similar.
03:38But I won't mention this to you.
03:40And because it's such a loud stadium and because those offensive linemen from Miami
03:44need to set back and pass protect, I wouldn't be surprised if they had four or five
03:48illegal procedures with that crowd noise so bad where they can't get set in time,
03:53they get nervous about that.
03:54You don't get that atmosphere in Miami.
03:56I've coached in both places.
03:58And you don't get that kind of atmosphere in Miami that you're going to be facing on Saturday.
