00:00Florida and Texas.
00:01Texas comes to town.
00:02You know as well as I do.
00:04You've coached at high-level major football games there at Auburn
00:07and certainly throughout college football.
00:09But understand this.
00:10There's not a lot of moral victories when you turn to your booster and say,
00:12well, we lost that game, but we kept it close.
00:14Florida actually has done that.
00:16Can they keep it close enough today to maybe knock off Texas
00:19or that extra break here for Arch Manning and Steve Sarkeesian
00:23really pays off today?
00:24Yeah, I think they'll keep it close.
00:26Both teams are struggling on offense, underachieving.
00:29Manning is not quite up to where he needs to be.
00:32DJ Lagway, everybody's waiting for that explosive breakout moment.
00:36But both of their defenses are playing very well.
00:39Texas a little better, but not a lot.
00:41Good athletes on both sides of the ball.
00:43So I love that under in this game.
00:45It's going to be a low-scoring game.
00:47But you know what?
00:48Texas has a better football team, and they'll be tied up or close in the fourth,
00:53and they'll get one touchdown more in the fourth quarter
00:55and win by seven in the last minutes of the game.
00:59Coach, I know you know Billy Napier.
01:01He's been on the hot seat.
01:03Could he afford another loss, or potentially could we see a situation
01:07like Sam Pittman in Arkansas?
01:10You know, if it's a good close game, he may can afford another loss,
01:14and they not make a move now.
01:15If it's a bad loss, they may make their move now.
01:19But I think as the season goes along, and I really like Billy Napier.
01:23My brother gave him his first job.
01:25He was assistant on my brother's staff at Clemson.
01:27I coached against him when he was at Lafayette.
01:29He does a great job, great recruiter, but he just hasn't done what you must do
01:33at Florida.
01:34So if they keep it close, I don't think any ax falls this week.
01:37But as I look at their schedule down the road
01:40and their evaluations at some point, I don't see much hope.
01:44And although we'll keep our fingers crossed for a good guy,
01:46but I don't see much hope down the road.
01:49Coach, let's sneak in another one here between Mississippi State
01:51and Texas A&M.
01:52You got the Aggies, top six in the country, 4-0, 1-0 in the SEC.
01:55And how about Mississippi State?
01:564-1 so far, 0-1 looking to get their first SEC victory.
02:00It is a heavy line today, but a good one there on the docket.
02:03I love it.
02:04I love this.
02:05This is one of my picks of the day.
02:06I just look at Mississippi State.
02:07I think they're the most improved team in the SEC, maybe in the country.
02:12They beat Arizona State early in the season.
02:16Arizona State's only come back to beat TCU and beat Baylor.
02:20Good Arizona State team they beat.
02:22They lost to Tennessee in overtime.
02:24In overtime to Tennessee, they're undefeated.
02:26They run an offense similar to Tennessee's.
02:28They've got a quarterback.
02:30You can make plays.
02:31They're going to score points.
02:32They've got such a lead.
02:33I love Mississippi's points.
02:35I can't pull against the Aggies in College Station,
02:38but I can pull against that 16.5 points.
