00:00Newly appointed Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister Stephen Simm has dismissed concerns raised by Noh Omar that his appointments would sideline the Bumiputra community, pledging to serve all Malaysians.

00:15Simm, a DAP Deputy Secretary General, said the former minister might not fully understand the values he had upheld throughout his career.

00:23He cited his tenure at the helm of the Human Resources Ministry, saying worker welfare was always safeguarded without discrimination and their dignity upheld.

00:35Noh, who had previously led the ministry twice, said in a statement earlier today that Simm's shift to the Entrepreneur and Cooperative's Development Portfolio had surprised Bumiputra entrepreneurs.

00:47Simm assumed the Entrepreneur and Cooperative's Development Portfolio following Tuesday's cabinet reshuffle.

00:54The ministry was previously helmed by APCO's Iwan Benedict, who resigned from the post, then temporarily overseen by Works Minister Alexander Nantalingi.
