00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has acknowledged that Sabahans want to see change after years of the state being neglected by political parties.
00:09Anwar said his government respected the firm and clear message that Sabahans sent at the polls yesterday,
00:16as federal coalitions like Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional suffered heavy defeats.
00:21He said his government has been working to resolve issues it had inherited from previous administrations in the past three years,
00:30including demands involving Sabah's interests and rights.
00:33Meanwhile, PKR Deputy President Nurul Iza Anwar insists that the party's fight in Sabah is far from over,
00:41urging its members and supporters to stay true to their struggle.
00:45Nurul Iza said she and fellow PKR Election Director Saifuddin Nasution Ismail knew that the party's struggle was not merely defined by election results,
00:55but the ability to learn from its weakness and come back stronger.
01:00PKR fielded 12 candidates in the state election, but ended up with only one seat,
01:06with Jamawi Jafar, formerly of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah, winning in Melalap.
