00:00ATAR results are now here for students across Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian
00:07Capital Territory. The Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank or ATAR scales students against
00:12their peers from a score of 30 or lower all the way up to 99.95. Here in Queensland 37
00:19students have achieved that perfect score of 99.95. Just a few moments ago they heard
00:27that great news. My friends and my family are really proud of me and then my teachers like
00:32they put in a lot of effort to help me with this. It's a marathon not a sprint so just
00:36working a little bit, working pretty hard every single day and ensuring that you reach
00:40out to your friends and also your teachers as well for help when you need it. While it's
00:44a great time to celebrate the achievements of so many hard-working students right across
00:48the country, it's also an important opportunity to remember that the ATAR is not the definitive
00:53measure of success. There are plenty of tertiary pathways for students who may want to pursue
00:58university or the abundance of other careers open to them as well. So if you didn't get
01:03the ATAR you were hoping for, really don't despair. There's an option for everyone and
01:07there's a pathway to university for everyone. So if you're in doubt, just give QTAC a call.
01:12We'll talk you through your options and we'll help you explore a pathway that suits you.
01:16And for every student receiving their mark today, this marks the final milestone in 13 years
01:22of dedication and hard work.
