03:40houston and it was like you took on one of those teams you beat a bunch of bad teams and then
03:45you took on a team that is not really like nobody really thinks the steelers are going to win this
03:50thing maybe they get going but they're kind of like the worst of the good teams and you didn't look
03:55like you belonged on the same field with them and that's the same thing that happened against houston
03:59last year where houston was like the the the minimum standard we always say the minimum standard of
04:04beating a good team and they can't do it now look credit they beat the bills this year they made josh
04:10alan look a fool he's now look like the greatest football player on earth since um but even we
04:16saw these you know we saw signs in the in the other games like it wasn't it wasn't awesome against
04:22washington nor uh nor uh the saints like it wasn't there were there was still a lot of it's a very
04:29flawed football team and a lot of it is is is driven by that offense being as limited and one-sided as it
04:37is and i gotta be honest like even hann last night i kind of felt like you know did they lean into him
04:45even enough because he really just feels like the only elite thing on offense for them right and you
04:51know i know they mentioned afterwards you should have gotten to darren waller a little bit more
04:54well that's no listen you've been playing with him all year so you didn't know that you can lean on
05:02him to get that production at no point in time so let's not all of a sudden think that yeah maybe as
05:10the game went on you could have got a feel for it but let's not think we're going into that game saying
05:16darren waller is going to be you know a guy we're going to be able to lean on because you haven't been
05:21able to so especially since his since coming back like the first when he had his first little burst of
05:28the season he was really incredible but you know you really you could take all those fourth quarter
05:33stats and really just i flush them down the toilet for me i mean here's the thing for me is that
05:40in basketball if a guy comes off the bench and makes four goes four for five from three
05:50right everybody else on the team is going to feed him and and and kind of ride it out and see okay
05:59how far is this going to go right it's going to be nine for ten or it's going to be four for twelve
06:04let's let's let's see so they're going to feed him and give him a couple more opportunities in this spot
06:09when i watch the dolphins and i see something is working
06:17i don't ever get the feel that they're going to keep using that because in football what you do is
06:26you keep going to it and all of your adjustments and all of your plays in the future are going to
06:33come from that look because you know that they're they've been getting beat by this they're going to
06:39try to defend this and if you have any type of nuance to that which you were successful at
06:47you're going to get them i don't ever see that i don't ever see okay if darren waller is balling
06:54right that means that they're going to have to put a linebacker and have that safety keep an eye on
07:01which means that if you look over there if you got single coverage backside then you can just pop your
07:08head over there and go and expose the one-on-one and and it just that's kind of how it works it works
07:15like that you know in all sports like two strikes what are you throwing to um to um
07:25john carlos which are throwing outside like so like we see this in every frustration you've had
07:34this frustration with mcdaniel the whole time though like he always he always out either thinks
07:38himself or thinks he's got a wrinkle up his sleeve that's like and you're just like why don't the
07:44formula's there what are you doing and this happened in the jets game too the second game with a with a
07:49three score lead he was like hold on hold on what if we throw the ball backwards near the end zone it's
07:57like no dude just run the football they can't stop you right it it's it's i don't know if it's
08:08arrogance like like one of the one of the things that you could say about bill belichick
08:16is all he cared about was winning the game he could have the best quarterback in the world if
08:23he's running the ball well that quarterback's thrown eight times and he's fine with that and he
08:28don't care and he don't apologize to nobody right i think we're in we're in we're in sports right now
08:40where coaches feel that they have to make that decision that makes the impact whether going for
08:48it on fourth down whether running a fake punt in your own end where they're doing that instead of
08:54first and foremost winning the football game and we see it with a lot of decisions hell we saw it
09:03between indiana and ohio state instead of kicking the field goal to tie the game and play a quarter of
09:11even football with indiana you went for it and didn't get it and they lose by three like
09:18i don't care what a book says i don't care what the analytics say a head coach's job is to feel the
09:28game and win the game in front of you like all those analytics don't say well coach how's your team
09:38playing right now are they capable of getting a fourth and one are they cap are they moving the line of
09:46scrimmage right all these things a coach has to have a feel for and i just think with all the
09:52analytics and the stuff going on out there that they're overlooking the most basic fundamental of
09:59sports win the game however you have to win it
