00:00Hi everyone, it's Grace from the Moorish Beacon. I'm here today in Monmouth Town and as you can see behind me,
00:05these are the effects that Storm Claudia has had on the town and so many other areas.
00:10It's caused major disruption and many local businesses were affected. Local residents had to be evacuated from their homes.
00:17So many emotions are going through my hair, it didn't seem real. I feel good now, I'm rescued, I feel better, but it's still, knowing that it's still things are scary.
00:35It's still feeling very anxious. Water is just coming in and I was like, oh my god, oh my god, and I didn't know what to do.
00:44I was panicking, not knowing what to do. I was just trying to get my stuff as high as I could, get the dog up to a safe place,
00:53and then I just kind of had to watch it happen. And I see in the car, two of the cars, being pushed down in the walker and one crashed into the pole.
01:04And it's just, you just don't think it's going to happen to you, it's so scary.
01:14OK.
01:15Let's go see.
01:21Our thoughts are with everyone who was affected during this flood and a big thank you for
01:41all the emergency services and volunteers that have helped people who were affected
01:45during this time.
