00:08Amy Lee. Welcome, Amy.

00:10Hi. Hello. How are you?

00:11It's good to see you again.

00:12It's good to be back.

00:13Tell me about your year this year. It's been pretty great.

00:15Oh, God. This has been a really busy year somehow, accidentally.

00:20You're putting out singles?

00:21Yeah.

00:22Several.

00:22Just kind of going for it.

00:23A lot of touring.

00:24We've done some movie stuff. We just toured with Metallica in Australia.

00:26Nice.

00:27That was incredible.

00:27How did that go?

00:28Really, really, really well. The big stadium, so it was just fun to play. It's just a huge

00:34crowd of people.

00:34Was there some pressure? Like, are they going to like us?

00:37A little bit.

00:37Yeah.

00:38Just a little bit because we've done that thing where you're playing before a legendary heavy.

00:44I mean, they're the biggest heavy band in the world. But I don't know if it's just times

00:49have changed or I don't know. It felt really very much like at home. It's like, oh, wait.

00:54These are our people.

00:55That's really great.

00:56Lots of people in Evanescence shirts. It was great.

00:57No matter where you go. That's really good.

00:59Yeah.

00:59You have a new album coming out when? Spring?

01:02Next year. Yeah. Let's say that.

01:04Let's say spring.

01:05I have a few more lyrics to write, but it's going very well. I'm really excited about it.

01:09You and your band are headquartered in, are you in Nashville now?

01:13We're all over, all spread out.

01:14Oh, you are?

01:15I'm in Nashville now, yeah.

01:16You're in Nashville. You lived in New York City for a long time.

01:18I did, yes.

01:19What was that like? Nashville is such a different city.

01:22It's so different. Don't remind me.

01:24How do you handle that mentally?

01:26Well, it's been really good in certain ways, like having more space. We moved there right

01:31before the pandemic hit.

01:32Oh, okay.

01:33And then it was like, oh my God, thank God we're not cooped up in a small place without

01:36a backyard. So there's that and nature and stuff. But also, Home's Where Your Heart Is.

01:40We've got family. I can drive to my parents in Arkansas and the state over, you know.

01:45In Little Rock?

01:46Yeah.

01:47That's nice.

01:47But we go back to Brooklyn often. We love it there. It's like our second home.

01:51Brooklyn is your second home.

01:52Yeah, maybe our first home.

01:53Well, we are very happy to have you here tonight. We're excited.

01:56To have you on the Almost Christmas.

01:58Yes.
