00:00It wasn't the fact that it was recorded last year, but it was recorded last year at Dayone
00:14Philharmonic Petronas. So if you ask me when I performed it, I was constantly overwhelmed
00:21because I never thought I would be able to perform at that venue. Not many people get
00:24the chance to perform at that venue. And so, I've never been so happy doing comedy, you
00:32know, and just performing and having so much fun. Of course, after that, I got to edit the
00:36thing also. So obviously, I feel that I could have been a bit more professional and tighter
00:42on some of the jokes. Obviously, there's a lot of room for improvement. I've actually
00:48improved the show when I took it on tour in Malaysia this year. But as an introduction
00:53to people who have never seen me before, and Malaysians who are living outside Malaysia
00:58who don't get a chance to watch my shows, I think this is a nice, a nice warm watch, a
01:04fun watch.
01:10It's called Vital Stats. I will start it in Australia. So I'll be doing, I think, it's
01:16Perth, Sydney, Brisbane. Then I'll go to Auckland. Then I'll come back for the Melbourne International
01:22Comedy Festival. That'll be two weeks. Then I'll come back to Malaysia. Then it'll be the
01:26local tour of Malaysia as Semenanjung and Sabah Sarawak. And then it will be Jakarta, Hong Kong,
01:34Singapore. I hope to be able to do at least Taiwan and India if I can. I really also want
01:40to try UK. Because I started in the UK. There are a lot of Malaysians there. But it's very expensive.
01:47I started 17 years ago. So at that time I was 31. So obviously when you're 31, you're still learning a lot of things. And you're still, you're at that age where you're neither top too young.
02:05Not too old. I'm 48 this year. So I think I have a bit more, they say, gravitas or a bit more authority when I say things.
02:12It's easy to make jokes that way. And I can get away with the grumpy uncle jokes now. You know, you know what, it takes me some time I see a comedian.
02:2032 years old. Oh, I'm old man. I'm always like, shut up. You are not old. You are not old. But at 48, the uncle can accept me already.
02:37The uncle's like, I'm getting old. I'm getting old already. After six more years, I can pick out EPF already.
02:42This show is a collection of new stuff that I wrote specifically for this. And a collection of things that I've wrote, tested for the last 15, 16 years.
02:58So I think if you have a joke that has consistently gotten results, people laugh, people remember it, they can be considered as one of your better or best material.
03:11I would say my police and thief bit and Mahjong and traditional games bit, I think is some of the best writing that I've done in terms of comedy.
03:25I guess it would have to be Musang King. Because I've tried Musang King from other country.
03:44I don't know. There's something about the weather in, in, what is that, Raup? No, no, the one in Pahang, Raup?
03:53There's something about Raup that just makes that, that Durian better than other people.
03:57I hear, like, I read trivia that apparently the inventor of the thumb drive was a Malaysian and all these things.
04:03So, but I don't count that, I count, like, made in, made in Malaysia, right? Yeah, made in Malaysia. Yeah, I would say our, our Durian King is pretty good.
