00:00Hey guys, welcome to the show. You can see we're out of our shop, and we are right here at SEMA in Las Vegas.
00:08You guys know all about this. This is where everything happens in the aftermarket.
00:12We're going to hit aisle after aisle. We're going to show you everything from lifted trucks, race cars, hot rods, and everything in between.
00:20Let me find Willie. Let's hit the floor and have some fun.
00:30All right, here we are, guys. SEMA 2025. It's insane. It's so over-the-top crazy.
00:38Well, think about it, man. We've got 5 million square feet of awesomeness, right?
00:43Completely sick builds, talent, craftsmanship, you name it. Everything to build, fabricate, some of the coolest cars in the world.
00:49And we've got almost a quarter million people here between the exhibitors and the attendees checking it all out, getting it to you on social, on TVs.
00:57And here's the craziest part. Over 140 countries. It's just nuts, man.
01:02And you're getting highlights like this. This is Octavia from the Ring Brothers. We're going to highlight this car, man.
01:09We've got so much to hit between here, between Apex. So ride along with us, man. It's going to be a fun, fast journey.
01:18All right, so I'd be remiss if I didn't stop by a Dodge Charger because they always, you know, they always catch my eye.
01:23I gravitate towards these cars because I love the aesthetics. This is a 68. It's got a lot of mods done to it.
01:29Now, you can tell he's made a wide-body offering out of this 68 Dodge Charger, which, from the factory, they already came as a kind of a Coke bottle aesthetics.
01:37That's how they described it back in 1968, 69, and 70.
01:40So I've never seen one so wide in the front. And you can see what normally is just some fake door scars.
01:47He's moved these out, so the wide-body starts back here. And then you see this big bend in this front fender.
01:53I imagine this thing lives up to its name. They call it Violet.
01:57But it really shows you what today's SEMA cars are all about.
02:01It's a Dodge Charger. They're true to my heart. I love them. This one screams.
02:05All right, guys, I wasn't lying, man. I told you we'd be back. It's a 1971 Aston Martin DVS.
02:13I got my man Ryan here from Ring Brothers to walk us through. I mean, to me, it's phenomenal.
02:18In my mind, this one blows everything out of the water.
02:21Yeah, we wanted to do a European muscle car, right? An American...
02:25European muscle car? That's not even a thing. It is now.
02:28You know what? That was deep-dishing rear wheels on a European car, right? That doesn't happen.
02:32And that was one of the things, like, we needed to do that.
02:34We extended this car 8 inches in the front, 10 in the rear.
02:39You know, it's a full-carbon car, right? At 5.0 Coyote, supercharged Harrop.
02:43You see all that carbon work. This car, it pushed us in every possible way, from design to machining, paint.
02:50You know, all of the bright work, short of the steering wheel, steering column.
02:53And this piece of trim is all 3D-printed stainless and polished out.
02:56So, that's a new technology for us that, you know, we see the capability to use that in the future in all of our builds.
03:03And I think it's going to be really exciting.
03:07All right, here we are. SEMA 2025.
03:10And look, when you get to SEMA, you're kind of blown away by the builds, right?
03:14The cars and all the performance.
03:15But what is it that gets you there?
03:17It's the tools, right?
03:19And when we're talking about right tools, you've got to bring in our friends from Carlisle.
03:23Carlisle is killing it.
03:24These tools not only have an amazing warranty, but, man, you can beat on them.
03:28You can pound them.
03:29And they take it like bosses, like champs.
03:32So, Joe, I've got to ask you, man, this booth is popping.
03:35Everybody's here.
03:36Tons of traffic.
03:37What's the hottest tool you guys are seeing right now?
03:39What's the big one that's bowing people?
03:42So, the one thing that we've gotten the most comments about since setting up here at SEMA 2025 is our brand new gearless ratchet.
03:51And when I say gearless, there's no teeth.
03:54It is nuts.
03:55It is completely gearless, almost zero degree arc swing.
03:58It will get you into the tightest spaces under the tightest hoods that you can imagine.
04:02Yes.
04:02Now, I've personally used this.
04:05Super, super handy and a lifesaver.
04:07Super, how are you guys getting some of these tools into the hands of the next generation of mechanics?
04:13You know, the guys that are watching the show right now.
04:14That's right.
04:15Listen, the next generation of technicians in the automotive repair industry, it's the most important thing that we're focused on.
04:22If they want to walk into a brick and mortar store, they can walk into any Napa Auto Parts store in the U.S.
04:27and pick up Carlisle tools right there over the counter.
04:29That's awesome.
04:30If they break one, they take it back to the same place and we'll give them a new one over the counter.
04:34How cool is that?
04:34But maybe they don't want to go into a store.
04:36There's not a Napa Auto Parts store close to them.
04:38They can go to carlisletools.com.
04:40They can buy right from our website.
04:42We'll ship it directly to their shop, their home, wherever they need the tools.
04:46We will show up for them however they need us to.
04:48And another thing you guys are doing to kind of get your name out and let people know about you is helping out with a little top fuel funny car action, man.
04:55Tell me about Matty Gordon and what you guys are doing with some of these top drivers.
04:59Carlisle Tools could not be more happy to be partnered with Ron Capps Motorsports and help Matty Gordon kick off her rookie season in the NHRA.
05:08She'll be piloting the top fuel Carlisle Tools dragster.
05:12Here's what I like about her, Willie.
05:13She actually knows how to use tools.
05:15She gets her hands dirty at the racetrack every weekend.
05:17She's running her family's top alcohol car right now.
05:20Great spokesperson for Carlisle Tools.
05:22Yeah, man.
05:23It's beyond a dream, especially partnered up with Carlisle Tools.
05:26Just an amazing company.
05:27And I'm so passionate about driving and working on cars.
05:30We've been using Carlisle Tools for the past year.
05:32You know, so it's been so awesome to be able to use their tools in hand and really see the benefits of what their products offer.
05:39You know, so talking about Carlisle and being able to promote Carlisle is so easy to me because it's something that I just am so passionate about.
05:44That's what you're already doing, yeah.
05:45Yeah.
05:45You know, I just, I cannot wait to jump in and get the season started.
05:52All right, hey, gang, we're over at Apex, and you know how much we love our go-fast parts?
05:56Well, we all have daily drivers.
05:58We've got to fix them.
05:58We've got to get them back on the road, and we love working with doormen because they don't just have replacement parts.
06:04They have replacement parts that fix the issues that OE sometimes miss, right?
06:08So we've got Nick here, man.
06:09He kind of runs the whole operation on, right, getting the parts not just to OE spec but beyond.
06:15Well, tell us a little bit more about the OE fix program you guys have.
06:18So basically, OE fix is where we try to find the issues with the OE parts from the factory and fix them, whether it's a redesign, whether it's a component change like materials, or even just replacing the failed component instead of replacing the entire part assembly.
06:32So you've got its display.
06:33You've got some new products here for everybody out there.
06:36What do you got with electronic power steering here?
06:38We have redesigned the board to offer surge protection.
06:41We also did a UV-40 coating, so it prevents any type of contamination from salt, chemicals, or water intrusion.
06:48Nice.
06:49Are these remand units?
06:50So these are brand-new units, which is the best part.
06:53Absolutely.
06:53Fantastic.
06:54So original quality but even better?
06:57Yep, and proprietary software.
06:58So we develop all the software in-house.
07:00I know they've got some under-hood products over here.
07:02Yep.
07:02Let's go check those out real quick.
07:04Good.
07:05Yeah, so basically, we have for our popular Ford V6 engines, we have lower intake manifold, which fits and functions just like the OE.
07:11However, it does incorporate an aluminum internal coolant port.
07:16That's a huge feature.
07:17You can imagine trying to seal on the face of plastic going through hot coolant.
07:21The chemicals over time, man, it's just a fail point.
07:24You guys have over-molded, right, a full aluminum section on there.
07:29Exactly.
07:29Problem solved, man.
07:30That's awesome.
07:31What's next?
07:31Yep.
07:32Well, popular 2018 to 2024 Ford F-150.
07:35They come with plastic oil pans.
07:37We redesigned it in die-cast aluminum.
07:39We also moved the oil drain to reposition it so that it can evacuate all the old oil.
07:44Get all that dirty out.
07:46Exactly.
07:46And we added a magnetic drain plug to get rid of all the debris.
07:49Perfect.
07:50Plus, plus, plus.
07:51Yeah, exactly.
07:51We're going to wrap it up and keep on checking out all the goodies here at Apex and over SEMA.
07:57You know, at SEMA, you never know what's making a noise.
07:59It could be engines, big blocks, or it could be the audio side of the program.
08:03I mean, here is something crazy.
08:05Whenever I see a car like this, I got one question.
08:08That question is, huh?
08:09What?
08:09All right.
08:11More from SEMA in just a second.
08:30All right.
08:31Welcome back.
08:31SEMA 2025.
08:33And I got to tell you, this is going to be loud, but bear with me.
08:35Why?
08:36Because we're on where all the action takes place.
08:38What's called the battle of the builders, right?
08:41When you see a great car at SEMA, they bring it over here, and it becomes a big competition.
08:45This car started out as a newer Mercedes, the S63E, big performance package for a Mercedes.
08:52But imagine all of the outside of that car removed, right?
08:56And then it rebodied with a 70 Mercedes 600.
09:00And as you can tell, tons of mods go into it.
09:03Massive heat exchanger with a modern power plant.
09:06Check out the metal work in the car.
09:08Wrapped in this crazy green.
09:10Comes back as you go back, right?
09:12See crazy cool carbon fiber mirrors, a carbon fiber roof.
09:16But follow me back here to the car.
09:17We have Nala, our little pup, and some nice people riding shotgun in the back.
09:23But you can tell the interior, modern, cool accessories, cool flow.
09:27It's an old 70 Mercedes, but it screams new technology.
09:31All the creature comforts of a modern Mercedes in a package that's just kick-ass.
09:36All right, man, this is awesome.
09:46We're in the Kin Dig It booth.
09:47This is the debut of the CF1 Fastback.
09:51Now, there's a Roadster.
09:52There's a Cabriolet.
09:53So this fits perfectly in there.
09:54Carbon fiber body, all designed by the man himself.
09:58We got both legends right behind me signing autographs.
10:01This thing is sick.
10:02We got the Lingenfelter 427 in here.
10:04Maybe if we're lucky, we can pull Dave over here for a quick one.
10:09What do you say, man?
10:10Hey, man, let's do it.
10:11How are you?
10:11Good morning.
10:12All right.
10:12What do you think, man?
10:13This is another accolade on your sky-high pile.
10:16Man, I'll tell you what.
10:17It's been a dream come true.
10:19You know, five years now we've been working on the CF1 program, and this is actually the
10:23debut for the Fastback.
10:24We didn't actually change anything from the Roadsters, Cabriolets, or the Fastbacks.
10:27They're just going to keep going up in the number.
10:29This one being number 25, which is my personal car, which is awesome.
10:34I actually get to keep one.
10:36But this is the prototype.
10:37So basically, we've already sold about seven of these so far, and we'll just keep going.
10:41You guys nailed it.
10:42I think it's one of the most beautiful cars here at SEMA.
10:44Thank you very much.
10:45So you guys keep doing what you're doing.
10:46Appreciate the minute, man.
10:47You got it.
10:48Get back to it.
10:49Absolutely.
10:50Later.
10:50All right, guys.
10:51Let's keep on rolling.
10:51You guys know we've partnered up with CRC for years.
11:00They do such a great program, you know, bringing people back into that, you know, technicians
11:05world or people working with their hands.
11:06We love to motivate that.
11:08Remember, we went to your shop, right?
11:11And we dusted off the combo pros.
11:13Look at those.
11:13Oh, they look fantastic.
11:15And, man, here she sits now at SEMA.
11:18What an unbelievable truck, man.
11:20I was the first one to drive it.
11:21I still am the only one to drive it.
11:23It's absolutely amazing.
11:25And you know what?
11:26This, to date, is the funnest build we've done yet.
11:28We absolutely love it.
11:30For me, I was all about that Edelbrock.
11:34900-plus horsepower, big old engine sticking out of the hood.
11:38The biggest thing I'm mad about right now, and I am mad, he's drove it.
11:42He's stomped on the loud pedal.
11:43He's burned the tires all the time.
11:45I ain't got to do it yet.
11:47Hey, Willie, it's fast.
11:49Nobody's jealous.
11:51Very, very.
11:52It's not for the applause.
11:54It's for the cause.
11:54That's right.
11:55To have a build like this.
11:56It's all about the kids.
11:58You know, the scholarships are so important.
12:00We need everybody to start thinking about we've got to have people working with their hands.
12:04And we're starting with young people.
12:06Tech School Scholarship Funds is awesome.
12:09For us, we love doing these builds.
12:11This one was especially fun.
12:13You know what else makes it fun is when you have a company like CRC that can help plug in, right, and make the build easier.
12:20So, Raquel, always great having you on.
12:22Tell me about some of the new products you guys brought through the forefront to help in builds like this.
12:27Oh, yeah.
12:27We had several, but our newest one is the next generation of clean, our CRC Brake Clean Foaming Brake Wash.
12:34It's water-based, low VOC, and 50-state compliant.
12:38So, it's going to save a lot more.
12:39It's not going to have as much on the floor.
12:41I mean, come on.
12:42Y'all should have done this years ago.
12:44Three times the cleaning power in the can.
12:46How much?
12:47Three times.
12:48Wow.
12:48So, there you go, man.
12:49They're bringing it.
12:50They're helping it get to the next iteration.
12:52And that's what this is all about.
12:54SEMA 2025.
12:56Who knows what's going to be in their booth next, man, but we can't wait to show it to you guys.
12:59All right, gang, we came all the way to the West Hall just for this car, Mustang GTD.
13:05Hottest thing on the Nurburgring.
13:07We're going to take a break.
13:08When we come back, more of a dive in.
13:13When you've got a heavy-duty working truck like a Ram 2500 or 3500, you know how important keeping it on the road is.
13:22Worn-out suspension, steering, and braking system parts lead to downtime,
13:26not to mention poor stopping power, noise, and reduced handling.
13:30That's where Mevotec's TTX line comes in.
13:33With their line of upgraded and engineered parts, specifically designed for working trucks and fleets,
13:39TTX does the hard work, whether it's suspension, steering, or a wheel hub.
13:44But the big upgrade is Mevotec's all-new TTX brakes, where friction meets innovation.
13:51Built tough for commercial duty use,
13:53These premium aftermarket pads feature a corrosion-resistant backing plate,
13:58exact slotting for quiet performance,
14:00and a unique burnishing layer for a fast, optimized bed-end.
14:04Available in five different brake formulas created to match how you may use your truck.
14:09Every set comes complete with a full install kit,
14:12abutment clips, caliper hangers, leader screws,
14:15even a wire brush and lube.
14:17Everything you need for a pro-level install.
14:19So if you're tackling these repairs on your Ram 2500 or 3500,
14:25the solution is clear.
14:27Mevotec TTX.
14:28Engineered strength up front and stopping power where it counts.
14:49It's cool, isn't it?
14:51Classic 1960 Cadillac.
14:53Normally, you don't think performance when you think Cadillac until you, well, pop the hood.
14:57Underneath this one, you got a blown LS.
14:59This thing put down some big-time power.
15:01Man, but every mod on this thing, attention to detail.
15:04Now, what's great about this one is it's still in its original skin, which is immaculate.
15:08It's black, not a dent, ding, anything on the panel.
15:12But the fins, you got to appreciate it, especially something this long, this stretched.
15:16Interior is sick, but really what makes these Cadillacs is all the way on the back, right?
15:21And these cool, unbelievably sharp fins.
15:25This is classic.
15:26This is performance.
15:27This is everything that represents SEMA.
15:29And this is gorgeous.
15:30Hey, guys, still at Apex, man.
15:35We're checking up on our friends at B-Pro Auto.
15:37This is an exciting newer automotive company for aftermarket parts.
15:42Everything you need to fix your automobiles, your dailies, right?
15:45Maybe it's your pride and joy, but these guys are building up pretty amazingly
15:49because you've got the backbone of Stellantis and Mopar.
15:53Now, you guys started out, right, with, let's say, more of the easier ones to get into, right?
15:57Filtrations, et cetera.
15:58Like anybody, you start with the easy stuff first, right?
16:00So it's your brake, your filtration, your wiper blades, your things like that, the easy stuff.
16:05But over the last year or so, we've really been kind of venturing into more of those light repair commodities.
16:09So you're talking, you're working on electrical, make sure your braking portfolio is complete
16:12and getting into, like, cooling and HVAC systems and functional fluids and chemicals and things like that now.
16:18So, right, we've got some of the more bigger, more complicated parts, right?
16:21The alternator starters, brake components, right, AC system stuff.
16:25And that takes, right, probably a lot of development, a lot of work, a lot of testing, prove out.
16:30I wish it was quicker, but it takes a lot.
16:33I mean, especially when you're leveraging the OE relationship between Mopar and Stellantis.
16:37Now, we're using our engineering teams that are also validating our OE componentry.
16:41It does take time to build a quality component.
16:43I could slap our label on any part and sell it quickly, but we want to make sure that it's OE-backed.
16:49It meets our quality criteria that we have to make sure we meet our customers' expectations,
16:53deliver a quality price with a quality part.
16:55Now, you guys continue to grow.
16:57I mean, you've been in this business, like, just a couple of years now,
17:00but already you have a pretty huge lineup for most of the vehicle.
17:05But now you're filling in across brands.
17:07Yeah, so, like, we're a little over 35 commodities right now that are available for sale.
17:11And really, kind of the message right now is we're rounding out the portfolio
17:14to make sure that regardless if you have a 2-year-old car or a 14-year-old car,
17:18whether it's a Toyota or a Kia or a Dodge,
17:21you have a part that fits that vehicle to be able to repair any of the needs that a customer may have.
17:25Awesome, man. Love watching you guys grow.
17:27We're going to keep hitting the floor.
17:28Dustin from B-Pro Auto, man.
17:30We're going to keep rolling, guys.
17:32Let's go check it out.
17:33All right, guys, we found one of the brand-new Mustang GTDs in the house.
17:40This is Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s.
17:41It's got his signature colors over it.
17:43It's been wrapped for protection because he's all over the track with it.
17:47Now, this car is sitting with 815 horsepower up front.
17:51It's a marriage between Ford and Multimatic.
17:53So, they've got a dry-sum system where the transmission used to be.
17:56And now there's a transaxle DCT in the back.
18:00All bespoke suspension front and rear.
18:02You can see through the back last, the rear pushrod suspension in the rear.
18:07That's pretty awesome.
18:08And a lot of you might have seen this spy footage.
18:11Ford is back on the track at the Nürburgring.
18:13So, watch out, ZR1.
18:17With four complete convention halls full of cars, there's still not enough room.
18:21We're spilling out of the parking lots.
18:23We're going to keep rolling.
18:24But in the meantime, we're going to take a quick break.
18:26See you on the other side.
18:27All right.
18:27All right.
18:32You know what's wild, man?
18:46You show up at SEMA and you see great friends, great products that you know and trust, like KBS Coatings.
18:50we've used them a number of times in the shop in our own builds.
18:54They have amazing products like tank sealer, rust seal,
18:57where, you know, you can have a rusty rear end,
18:59knock off the dirt debris, throw on a little of that black,
19:02and it's self-leveling.
19:03So all of a sudden, you get this finish that's like,
19:05man, it looks like show quality.
19:06It looks like, you know, you put a lot of effort, a lot of work,
19:08but really, you just brushed it on.
19:10But something new in their booth this time around
19:13is something called their clear diamond finish.
19:16So we've all, like, learned to appreciate metalwork.
19:19And over the years, a lot of people have wanted to show off
19:23some of their metalwork on their cars and their build.
19:25But how do you show off raw metal, but yet still protect it from the elements?
19:29That's where this diamond comes in at.
19:32And it's called clear diamond finish, but you can see all the metalwork, right?
19:35It's all evident.
19:37It's all, you know, right here, but it's also protected.
19:39It's got, like, a clear coat.
19:40Now you can brush it, you can roll it on, you can spray it on, obviously.
19:43I love the raw metal look.
19:45I think with something like this product, it's going to become a lot more popular.
19:49So check it out.
19:49KVS coatings.
19:51It's their diamond clear finish.
19:52Pretty cool stuff.
19:55Now this thing has had so many mods done to it.
19:58You would just never believe it if you saw it, unless you saw a real 49 Pontiac Chieftain
20:03right beside of it.
20:04So let's start.
20:05Obviously, chop top, flush mount windows, cool skirts.
20:08But under the hood, a 700-plus horsepower LSA engine.
20:12Everything for the car was designed off this Chieftain head, which is really cool.
20:16You'll see the styling that's coming back around.
20:19What's really impressive is this one, gorgeous in every aspect.
20:22But these cars from the 40s, all of a sudden, they're popping in different booths.
20:26They're showing up, but they haven't been in a number of years.
20:30Imagine some of this styling from the 40s.
20:32We're going to see it in different applications, different builds, and none nicer than this
20:36one right here.
20:38All right, gang.
20:38We have walked miles and miles, man.
20:40We've covered millions of square feet.
20:42Yeah.
20:42I can feel it in my feet, but I don't feel like we've barely scratched the surface.
20:47Man, it's amazing.
20:47It really is.
20:48What's your takeaways, man?
20:49What'd you like?
20:50So I think square bodies are back.
20:52I saw more square bodies this year than ever before.
20:55Skylines.
20:56Skylines.
20:57We've always appreciated skylines, but they're everywhere this year, man.
21:01So there's some takeaways.
21:02And believe it or not, what was old is new again.
21:05A lot of 40s-style cars.
21:06Always trending around.
21:07A lot of skirts, a lot of cool things that showed the fluidity of metal, and I thought
21:12there was a lot of great builds this year, man, just overall.
21:14Yeah.
21:14I think the tech is going crazy.
21:16Yeah.
21:17Right from every direction, and the bar just keeps getting higher.
21:20Yes, it does, man.
21:21It's getting wider and higher.
21:23That's super cool.
21:23It's a great space to play, man.
21:25We had a lot of fun.
21:26Absolutely.
21:27Hope you guys did, too.
21:28More to see.
21:29You guys need to come to SEMA, maybe 2026.
21:32All right.
21:33See you next time, guys.
21:37We'll see you next time.
