00:00Isang po kayo san, ako na talaga dito.
00:30We work with five brands, under our own corporation, so we run different brands, but the Everyday Coffee was really chosen by the owner, Sergio Sabirano, he really loved Everyday Coffee to be at here, so I said, let's do it this way, and then we came up with our Miraki unit, so a do-it-yourself coffee, and also the Anahaw, we just did it for two weeks, that's why we managed to have our rice meals that way.
01:00As we're going back to the Miraki, it is a different, like, first here in Cebu, I think, or what's the inspiration behind the immersive experience for the customers?
01:10Yes, we really wanted that, well, the problem here, mostly of the coffee shop, are already traditional, so I said to myself, when I got the Miraki, actually, it's a distributor, I'm the distributor for the whole Philippines, and this is the first here in Cebu, and we're running now in Manila,
01:28in Manila, so the idea of, well, our problem was baristas, we don't have enough baristas to run coffee shops, I said, why not make our customers their own barista, and we'll just have one barista standing next to the three machines, and just guide them, then it's a problem solved for us with the baristas, so we only need one, one barista with all coffees, so the barista is the customer.
01:52Going to the coffee store, where do you source out your beans?
01:56We source these out locally, Sultan Kuderath, and we're helping the farmers now, so it's purely Arabic and robusta beans.
02:05Sir, I've been to other everyday coffee branches, I'd just like to ask for you as the business owner, where do you put the everyday coffee in the category of the coffee, is affordable, or the high-end?
02:18Yeah, every coffee is situated now around mid-to-high, mid-to-high-end coffee, now we really want it, a very accommodating, the ambiance is different, but the price-wise, not that expensive.
02:32So, if you look at FoodCon, why is everyday here, actually, it's part of FoodCon, so everyday, can sit around, pwede naman, pwede gawin namin, in one area, limang store, different brands, but not in one area.
02:49This one lang kasi, we can use it in one kitchen lang, utilized na lahat, then it's purely saved us from kitchen.
02:58So, masasabi natin, sir, na advantage yun in a way, na parang pinagsama-sama rin dito lahat, tapos parang isang main kitchen na lahat.
03:05Yes, it is truly a very good decision for business, right?
03:11And good if you run the whole business, all your brands, but if you run a food court na hindi brand mo, that's so different. It's a different story.
03:21Sir, location-wise, oh, sorry, Gomez. Sir, location-wise, do we think na advantageous din po ba sa atin ito,
03:28especially manapit tayo sa katedral, and also sinunog is fast approaching?
03:32Yes, actually, that's one of the reasons why we chose this one as well.
03:35Well, we are a, kami lang yung nandito sa second floor, we can be seen from there,
03:40and we can also be seen from the katedral na nasa second floor kami.
03:45Sir, this bagpun sa atin siya, is that all for the group of friends, but it's for the family?
03:49Yes, exactly. The reason we had it in one place, because you can bring your family here,
03:53your family, your kids can eat the gelato, the ice cream, the sweets, while you guys want coffee,
04:00and you can have your own food as well. All-in-one na siya, you can bring the whole family.
04:04That's why we call it FoodCon, FoodConnect people.
04:07Sir, how friendly is this to the BW Reserve?
04:10Say again?
04:11How friendly is this building for the building?
04:12Oh, yeah, it's the building itself that's a problem.
04:16One problem we have now, because it's only stairs.
04:18So, now we will be putting people there, will guide, and help those people na makasakadarigit.
04:26Because this is a traditional Lugay naman din kanina building, and they really want to preserve this.
04:31We really want, we really don't, we can't do anything with the structure.
04:36You're inviting Christmas to the last Christmas of one?
04:38Yeah, all Filipinos, I know Christmas is coming, so you can spend your Christmas here.
04:45You don't have to go to an expensive way, where you can have a church, and you can have a place to stay.
04:50Now, all your family is here, you have everything already, one-stop shop.
04:53Thank you very much.
04:54A customer, they buy the coffee.
