00:00Hello and welcome to this Queensland Jamesweather update for Friday.
00:04We've got showers and thunderstorms in a line along through here as we have a trough that is just to the west.
00:09Otherwise things are looking fairly clear in the southeast. It's just light showers today.
00:13We're going to see most of that wet weather activity next week.
00:17So having a look at our day-by-day warnings, here we have Friday, heat waves all across the western part in through there.
00:23Saturday, that does contract a little bit further northwards.
00:26Sunday, not much there at all and by Monday, we're actually going to be quite cool in the southeast as we move into Tuesday and so the heat is contracted to the north in through there.
00:35All right, day-by-day, what to expect? Here we have Friday.
00:38So our showers and thunderstorm risk area is down in the south in through here.
00:42We're just getting those lighter showers that are in the southeast corner but more on the ranges in through there.
00:47That's Friday.
00:48Have a look at Saturday.
00:49The main area is back in through here.
00:51The southeast is looking fairly quiet.
00:53Have a look at Sunday.
00:55That starts to move eastward so we're likely to see some activity late in the day in the Brisbane area as we go through Sunday.
01:02Into Monday, that continues all in through here.
01:05Into Tuesday, that continues all in through here.
01:08Into Wednesday, that's when it starts to contract further northwards and come back down into the southwest.
01:13Have a look at Thursday, there is our pattern.
01:16And into Friday, there we go.
01:18So it clears out of the southeast from Wednesday onwards.
01:20All right, let's see what that is likely to add up to.
01:23All in through here, 25 to 50 millimetres.
01:26Some bigger falls in through here.
01:28Is that a cyclone brewing later on next week?
01:30Something to definitely keep an eye on.
01:32Otherwise, in the far southwest corner, 1 to 5.
01:35Now, if you're under a thunderstorm, then yes, it can bring a heavier fall than this shows.
01:39Well, Brisbane, that's a look day by day.
01:41So today, about 28.
01:43Just the odd light shower moving through.
01:44So today is not a big day.
01:46Have a look at Saturday, 30, 31 as we go into Sunday.
01:50There's the chance of some late wet weather.
01:52Monday is the hot day, 35.
01:54And then we've got showers and thunderstorms developing.
01:56So we're 27 as we go through Tuesday.
01:58And we've got a lot of wet weather moving through.
02:00So that's our main wet days, hot and then milder.
