00:00Hey folks, I'm going to do a little review here on the Vivitar drone. I did fly this. I'm sure you've seen some videos where the fly it, where others were flying it, but I did have a few problems.
00:22Maybe this could help you if you did have the same thing, but it comes with the, you see here, the guards put on, and with the guards, you'd have to push up on these tabs here, or they'll just pop out if you do use the guards.
00:52I did lose one of these, one little propeller cap, when it did crash outside.
01:05So, I had this thing on, and I was looking through my phone here, it's an old phone, but I was trying to hook up the Wi-Fi, and I read all the instructions.
01:22And what happened was, I thought it flew pretty good, but I noticed on a better phone from someone else, I went through settings, and Wi-Fi, and did find the Vivitar thing you click on.
01:51And while my drone was blinking, the battery ran out for the first time.
02:00I mean, I just flew it a couple times, and that was my problem, and I couldn't get it going again.
02:09So, I was going to take it back, but I said, well, let's watch a couple of your videos out there.
02:19And so, what I have here, is there, is the, in all this mess, is the USB, I believe that's five, is that five amps, or five volts, or, I forget.
02:46So, how they did it, but you got, this thing here, was blinking.
02:55Now you can see it's red.
02:56So, what I had to do, was take the casing off, or I'm sure you could go under here, and get two little wires.
03:16And I tried just about everything, you know, with the old chargers, and, because I had an old drone.
03:27But, uh, what I ended up doing was getting these two little wires here.
03:36And I didn't want to buy, you know, the chargers I see on some of the videos.
03:41So, I got the voltmeter, and an old, old battery charger for the boat or car.
03:53And I had it set on the low, which is two amp.
04:00Because, uh, it was the first time I was doing this.
04:10What I actually did, was take the, uh, screws out.
04:17See, there's one two on this side, another two on that side.
04:33The cap came off.
04:35And under that, there's another two that holds this white plastic, um, connector.
04:51And, uh, when I first pulled it out of the box, I noticed it was wiggling a little.
04:57So, I actually tightened it back up.
04:59I think that's what happened, is somebody may have put a used battery, jumped it, just to get me going.
05:08And, because for a brand new, out-of-the-box drone, you would think that, you know, the battery, even if it goes totally dead,
05:20would be able to be charged with the charger they gave you.
05:24And that didn't happen in my case.
05:26So, anyhow, what we're going to do, is what I did was, uh, yeah, take the battery right out.
05:39This is, uh, um, I had the case off before.
05:45The, was it 7.4?
05:47And, uh, I took that out, and it has these wires here, will be on one side.
05:58And it has the red and black thicker ones on the other side, so that's what I used to hook the charger up to it.
06:06And, uh, I left it for about, say, 20 minutes.
06:13Uh, within the first five minutes, I touched it, make sure it didn't get warm too quick.
06:18Uh, and then I hooked these up to it.
06:23Let's see.
06:25Just the little wires.
06:29And I had the little wires going right inside the, so I didn't have to, you, you don't have to take the case off if you know which one is positive and negative.
06:41I took it off because I wanted to see the, uh, positive and negative.
06:50And I left it there.
06:52Came back maybe after 20 minutes.
06:54I didn't leave it because I didn't know if it was going to explode.
06:59And then I tested it with the voltmeter, and, uh, it did go right up to 7 volts.
07:05So then I plugged it in for the rest of the way.
07:11And now we're going to put it in.
07:16I did make another video of, see, I just got a, one of those motorbikes, the battery-operated folding bikes.
07:29That works pretty good.
07:38Okay, so here, I'm going to go ahead and put the battery in.
07:45And, uh, with my old, old, cheaper drone, um, I was able to put a index card in.
08:00Uh, we're, uh, not an index card, uh, you know, a memory card.
08:11Here's the switch here.
08:12And, uh, I like the way you could, you know, record with, with this you have to calibrate it and then hook up to the internet to use the app.
08:29So what you do here first is, uh, turn on the box one second.
08:42And then, uh, uh, turn on the box.
08:45So, let's just say it again.
08:46So, let's do it again.
08:48So, let's do it again.
08:48So, let's do it again.
08:49So, let's do it again.
