00:00one of the laptops I used to use all the time back with Windows XP was the
00:09gateway 76 76 20 76 30 as you can see here it's all dusty and it was just put
00:23on a shelf and the motherboard just was absolutely magnificent it would run 24
00:327 and the fan would go but there was two fans and that was the good part about
00:42this it wouldn't overheat like many of the others so back here I'm just gonna
00:47unplug the AC cord put it in and then you can hear there's no screen here but it
00:59got to a point where you know you just hook it up to one of your external
01:04monitors I'll press the f1 and then the arrow keys and the CMOS battery usually
01:19dies see if we can just hook a mouse a lot of USB ports one thing here I try to
01:33clean them up but yes memory slots to USB on the side the IDE IDE hard drive
01:50laptop hard drive now it's all SATA but one thing I liked was the movie maker that
02:01XP had but I believe they ended it through Vista this is great for a backup if you
02:14want to you know just save some files on the hard drive
02:21and the cost for the parts as in a laptop gets older or cheaper you know cheaper
02:34just to keep buying the same same parts for a while it's pretty much now what I'm
02:42doing with the MacBook that's 2006 MacBook I got Snow Leopard on one side of the hard drive
02:51and then Windows 7 on the other side very cheap to buy maybe another screen for the
03:01MacBook was say 40 bucks anywhere from 30 to 40 dollars but eventually you know you
03:09won't be able to put the new operating systems on them and you're gonna have to
03:14move on but now try to get as much use out of this as possible
03:23Windows XP I like the internal speaker this laptop had a very powerful speaker unlike the
03:42the most HP speakers that have the smaller speakers all right thanks for
