00:00It hadn't really sunk in. I was completely shocked. I mean, I knew two votes were going to be thrown on me because I blocked one of them. But, you know, there were still two that were coming on me. So the first two votes got red. And then I was expecting the next one to be soap. And I was like, OK, it's going to go to a tie. And that's how I know I'm getting out of it. But then when Jeff just said and the 13th member of, you know, I was like, oh, my God, what? And like, I was just completely shocked.
00:19I think I might have sat there longer than they showed, you know, before I stood up. I don't remember, honestly, like the moment from standing up to like getting my torch snuffed and walking out.
00:29It's like all a blur. But I do remember like genuinely feeling very, very hurt and betrayed. And I wanted to like just be honest and like own my feelings. Right.
00:37As much as like I am not an emotional player and like I respect the move, I wanted them to know that like, damn, dude, like on a personal level, that really hurts.
00:45And I just didn't understand in the moment the logic and method behind the madness and walking down that that like bridge, you know, as you're leaving, you're just playing through, you know, playing through the events of that day.
00:59And you're looking back on all the conversations that you had. And and there's so many red flags that I overlooked because, you know, Christina and Sage had been so loyal to me.
01:07And Christina played an idol for me. Sage had voted twice over her own Uli members to keep me.
01:14And so like she had put her mouth, you know, money where her mouth is and like proved her loyalty to me.
01:18And so I really thought that even though I'm sure I was a consideration to get me out in that round that I thought they were going to be loyal to me.
01:25And so I was like, where did I go wrong? You know? And yeah. So all those things are going through your head.
01:29You're just like, oh, my gosh. And then you're also like, I'm hungry. What is my first meal going to be?
01:34Honestly, I'm not going to lie. That was going through my head, too. I was like, what am I going to order? I'm so hungry.
01:38And what did you order? Oh, a cheeseburger, dude. I was like, what a guy I knew you were going to say that because that's what I would have gotten.
01:44I swear to God, I was like, he's going to say cheeseburger. So we're aligned there. We're very much aligned. Let's go, dude.
01:50Yeah, you just got out like a cheeseburger and fries. It was like the best burger I've ever had.
01:54Smart man, smart man. So listen, next week, I'm going to ask Christina and Sage about this decision.
01:59But from your perspective, what was their ultimate reasoning? I mean, was it just you were number two top threat after Savannah?
02:06Can't get Savannah. Got to get Steven. I mean, it's a numbers game, though. I don't I don't get it.
02:10I don't get it either, to be completely honest. And I was really hoping watching the episode play back.
02:15Maybe I gained some more insight into some of the conversations that were had that like maybe could describe like what was going through their minds.
02:21And I really didn't get too much of that. I would say this, like, you know, I think they made the move that made the most sense to them at the moment.
02:30And I think that I don't know. I don't want to give myself too much credit.
02:35And I hate it when people are like, oh, they got me out because I'm just a big threat. I'm a big threat in the game.
02:39But like, I mean, I guess they saw me as more of a threat than the other three that were in the game and they felt they had a better chance sitting next to them at the end.
02:47I think ultimately it comes down to that, that maybe they just felt that I had too many friends on the jury, that I was playing an under the radar, pretty good game.
02:55Like, I mean, they didn't show this, but I knew that the votes were going on Alex.
02:59So like Sage and I were working really close together and she was cluing me in.
03:02And I was intentionally pretending that I didn't know what was happening to try to buy my threat level down and try to hide the fact that Sage and I were working so closely together.
03:10And, you know, we were trying to set up some moves that unfortunately blew up in our face.
03:15Like we've tried to blindside Savannah. And so by having Sage and Juwan vote with Uli two votes in a row, you know, they had the MC vote, which broke my heart because she was my secret.
03:25Number one, but then number two, having them vote again with Alex, they would hopefully rebuild some of that trust so that they wouldn't see a blindside coming the next vote.
03:34And Sophie, you know, Sophie's ready hats off.
03:36She played an incredible game and she saw that move coming and she was like, nah, this is not good for me.
03:40And she tipped them off. And like, that's when the Juwan blindside happened that blew my mind.
03:45But other than that, like I was not surprised by any move that was happening in the game.
03:49And I think if I got to the end, they knew that I could, I had a better resume maybe than other people knew.
03:55Cause like they knew what was going on behind the scenes. So I don't know, but like they did what was best for their game.
03:59There's no hard feelings.
04:01I'm going to ask them next week. Don't you worry. I'm going to find out the end.
04:03Make them, make them feel the heat.
04:05Sure. Well, sure. Well, who were you hurt more by though? And you, you know, you said you were hurt and betrayed between the two of them.
04:11I mean, it seemed like you and Christina were together longer from Hina, but it seemed like you and Sage were very close on a personal level.
04:17Yeah. I mean, I was close with both of them on a personal level. I do want to apologize for calling Christina a sloppy player.
04:22I mean, I'm going to own the fact that that was my feeling in the moment I was frustrated.
04:28And like, I just, it's like for every critical thing I said, like there were so many other nice things I said that haven't made the edit, but like Christina is awesome.
04:35And I think she did play a great game, but like, I did feel a little bit more burned by Sage.
04:39And I think the reason is Sage and I on like, you know, I was really close with Christina on a human level too,
04:44but like Sage voted to save me when it really might not have been in her best interest to when we had that first, you know, swap.
04:51We bonded over the fact that we're both of ADHD. We're both like really weird and goofy and kind of like outcasts growing up.
04:57And so just like we had so much in common and like on a human level, I just, I adore Sage so much.
05:02I think she's so, so, so authentic and like weird and like the best way.
05:05And I really just felt that like, honestly, I was a little nervous about Christina.
05:10Cause like at a certain point, I think it makes a lot of sense for her to not want to sit next to me at the end.
05:14But Sage, I, I thought she was playing a really great game.
05:17You know, from my perspective, I granted she was flipping and, but she was burning a lot of people on the jury.
05:21So I was really hoping to sit next to her.
05:24She had a lot of blood on her hands and I had a lot of friends on the jury.
05:27And so I think I was just really, really shocked that she thought that I was a bigger threat.
05:32But, and like that she had a better chance of like moving forward.
05:37Cause like, I don't know.
05:38I just like the numbers just didn't make sense to me, but you know, there's, that's what's, that's, what's so great about Survivor, right?
05:44It's like two people can look at the same scenario and see totally different things.
05:47And what I saw as like a viable path forward for all three of us, clearly I was wrong.
05:52And that was a huge blind spot of mine.
05:53And that's why I'm sitting here talking to you rather than them.
05:55So like hats off, they saw an opportunity and you'll have to ask them like why they wanted to get rid of me at the time.
06:01And yeah, there's maybe more to it than I know.
06:04What happens if Savannah loses immunity?
06:06Let's say Sage has immunity, Savannah doesn't.
06:08How does that tribal end?
06:10I think Savannah goes home or I think Rizzo plays his idol for Savannah and then Rizzo goes home.
06:15Cause I think we would have thrown a hinky vote probably Rizzo's way just in case I would have blocked a vote.
06:20And yeah, I do.
06:21You guys have had Sophie with you.
06:22Do you think she's on board to flip if Savannah's vulnerable?
06:27So if yellow Sophie made it to the next one.
06:29I mean, I'm calling blue Sophie Sophie.
06:31Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry.
06:32No, no, you're good.
06:33Do I think blue Sophie?
06:34You know, to be honest, like I, blue Sophie had been hinting for a very long time that she was going to flip.
06:39And I just wasn't buying it because she had been so loyal to them, like going up to it.
06:45You know, it's, it was kind of like Rizzo's like idol.
06:48Like he was like threatening to play it, but wouldn't.
06:50And like Sophie would kind of hint to other players.
06:53She didn't, her and I didn't talk a lot of game.
06:55And like, so all the information I'm telling you now was coming from Christina and Sage.
06:58Like they were having game conversations.
07:00Blue Sophie and I, that's one of my big regrets is I wish that I tried to talk to her more because I think maybe we could have worked together.
07:05But like, I always, I think I underestimated her a bit and just thought that she was always going to do what we're doing.
07:11I didn't get to see her incredible pre-merge game.
07:14I knew obviously she did something right because she survived the disaster tribe.
07:17But like, I didn't really see her doing much.
07:19She kind of sat on the hammock and like, she was a good social player, but like, and she had good reads.
07:24But I didn't know she had this advantage, knowledge is power.
07:26And I didn't really see her as one that was steering the votes one way or another.
07:29So like, you know, you get so exhausted time.
07:31Like if I talk to Savannah and Rizzo, I know exactly what Blue Sophie is going to do.
07:35And like, I don't see her doing anything different.
07:36So I was like, why, why?
07:37And I couldn't get a good read on her either, dude.
07:39She has like a great poker face.
07:41I felt like I could read Rizzo.
07:42I could read Savannah.
07:43Like some, I was wrong sometimes, but like, I felt like I added like a little bit better of a baseline.
07:48But Blue Sophie, she has a really good social game, man.
07:50I couldn't really, I couldn't really clock her.
07:52And so I was like a little nervous that she would pull information out of me that I didn't want to give away.
07:58Are Savannah and Rizzo great players or is everyone else just kind of stumbling over each other?
08:02Because they've skated by week after week after week.
08:05And is it a testament to their gameplay?
08:07Is it everyone else's lack of gameplay or is it a combination?
08:11I think it could be both.
08:12I think they are both incredible players.
08:14I think that's one thing watching this game back and, you know, obviously comparing notes post-game with folks.
08:19Like, you know, I saw, I underestimated Rizzo for sure.
08:22I thought he was like this, you know, like a little brother that was like, he was saying all these Gen Z slang things that I, you know, he was like, oh, you're aura farming.
08:30I'm like, what the hell does that mean?
08:31Is that like a slur?
08:32I've never heard that ever.
08:33I don't know what that is.
08:34I mean, I'm 30.
08:35I've never heard of that in my life.
08:37Yeah.
08:38So I don't know.
08:39Like, I think they both played really good games in their own way.
08:41They played different games, but like, you know, I don't think that the idol play, like the flexing it in front of tribal was, was landing the way that I think Rizzo was intending it.
08:50I could tell that, you know, they were kind of rolling their eyes.
08:53It wasn't like, and so that was cool.
08:55I was like, I'm going to let him keep doing this then.
08:57I'm going to not, I'm not as worried about flushing the idol then.
08:59Cause if he's not going to play it, then that's going to work out great for me if I sit next to him at the end.
09:04Cause I don't think that's, it's, you know, the theatrics are playing off of them, but yeah, I don't know.
09:08Like we kind of got in our own way a lot of times, like our, they would always blow my mind.
09:12I want, you know, we wanted to get Savannah out from the first merge vote.
09:16Like, and it ended up getting switched to Nate because people, you know, cause Nate was throwing Alex's vote or Nate was throwing Alex's name out.
09:23And so Alex was like, Oh, we want to get, we want to get Nate instead.
09:24And I was like, all right, fine.
09:26And then I was like, we'll have a chance to get them later.
09:27Cause we have the numbers, but then we had the split tribal and then like MC didn't come back.
09:31And I wasn't shocked that Sophie was back.
09:34I was shocked that both her and MC didn't come back.
09:36I played that really poorly.
09:38I think I probably should have like hid that a bit better, but like, it came off as me being like, Oh, I didn't want to see you Sophie.
09:43But I was like, why is Rizzo back?
09:45And even if he's back, why is he also have his idol?
09:47And so that was the moment where I was like, what is happening?
09:50And then like the vote switched the next time to Alex.
09:52And I was like, yeah.
09:54So, I mean, it could be a little bit of both.
09:56I do think we got in our way.
09:57And I think that there's also credit where credit's due.
09:59Like they stayed loyal to each other when the rest of us were paranoid and flipped and like, that's a sign of a strong alliance.
10:05That's a strong, a strong gameplay and like credit where credit's due.
10:09Like I saw them as a huge threat.
10:11That's why I was like, we got to use this blog about and get one of them out.
10:14Otherwise, dude, what's going to happen at five?
10:16Like, they're going to just pick us off.
