00:00I connected with Jake like quite a bit outside of the game when we got back and like I we spoke a

00:05lot about you know you know his incident and so I think we were well prepared in terms of like

00:13what to expect because we knew like what episode it is while playing the game and you're out there

00:18I don't care if it's like your worst enemy or somebody who you don't like you just don't wish

00:23for that to happen to anybody it's all of our dream we went through like the most intense

00:27application process we're there we want to play the game and it's a game and like at the end of

00:32the day we all come home and so for someone's life to be like compromised is like really scary

00:36and unfortunate and like unfortunate and like I would never really wish that upon somebody because

00:42you're just playing a game at the end of the day so definitely feel for Jake and I'm happy that he's

00:47better now when you arrived at that challenge were you expecting Jeff to be telling you and the other

00:51two tribes that he was out of the game no no no no no I thought like when we showed up I'm like

00:57okay well where's Jake I have his backpack and then Jeff starts talking and he's like not and

01:02he says he's not coming back to the game it was kind of like wait what he's not coming back like

01:07so it was shocking because I just didn't think I don't know if it was just like my mind trying to

01:12be positive and like tell myself he was coming back because that's how I had to deal with it

01:17Alex and Sophie Alex was like well he got bit on the foot and then Alex like that's a really

01:22poisonous snake so maybe yeah I wasn't expecting it but it was one of those things

01:27did you see that snake yourself when you were out there at all I did yeah I actually Jake

01:31didn't know if he got bit by the snake originally and then we saw the bite on his foot and then we

01:36actually saw the snake like just a little slithering through the water um so we did see it and then

01:42like it was evident that he did get bit by it when I saw the mark if I ever go to Fiji I'm not going

01:47in the water I'm just being honest but Jeff said it's safe were you were you conservative about going

01:52in the water after that no we had to do a challenge in the water like no choice yeah and I think like

01:59Jeff did a really good job at describing like hey like this doesn't happen a lot it's sort of like

02:03getting struck by lightning like it could happen I mean all of their crews were in the water I mean

02:09I trust CBS with like my life and if there was like I it was fine to me so I think I saw you said

02:17in an earlier interview that you thought tribal council was going to be a one one one vote is

02:21that true and if so why did you think that that outcome can you explain what you thought the details

02:25of that was going to be yeah so Sophie I knew Sophie had flipped on me because there was a time when

02:31Sophie and I were talking and she asked me like what Alex said and I'm like hmm that's interesting

02:36you flipped on me and so Alex and I didn't know where Alex's mind was at so I thought Alex was

02:43voting for Sophie and I was voting for Alex so I thought it was going to be a three-way tie among

02:48the three of us um and I I really did consider playing my shot in the dark but I was scared about

02:54playing my shot in the dark because if I lost my vote and it was a tie then I would have gone home

02:59automatically so I went into that tribal council knowing that there was like a 50% chance of me going

03:06home and leading up to it you know I took I like I cherished actually something that I did in the

03:12game was I cherished every moment that I had out there and I was so appreciative and I I soaked in

03:18like everything that was happening despite being hungry tired and not eating that three-way tie would

03:24have been crazy because that would have been historic I believe we haven't seen that happen

03:27at trial tribal with the three people so that would have been quite intriguing to watch maybe that was

03:32just my delirious mindset of like everything that I was going through but that's what I thought so
