00:00The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denounced and strongly condemned through a statement
00:10the attack on a Venezuelan oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea,
00:14an act that was publicly announced by the President of the United States.
00:21The President of the Honduran Congress, Luis Redondo, denounces an electoral coup
00:26and U.S. interference following the November 30 elections.
00:32The Non-Governmental Human Rights Commission in El Salvador denounced the government of Danilo Novoa
00:37as violations of the citizens' rights.
00:44Hello and welcome to From the South, from the headquarters of Treasure English in Havana, Cuba.
00:48My name is Pablo Micheliche. We begin with the news. Stay with us.
00:56The United States government claim a responsibility for the theft of an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.
01:10This is happening amidst the siege and escalation of threats and aggressions by Washington against the Venezuelan people.
01:16In a video released by high-ranking U.S. officials, American troops are seen surrounding the cargo ship by air
01:23and then boarding it while carrying military weapons.
01:27The incident was announced by President Donald Trump himself,
01:31who stated that the U.S. military might seize the oil on board the ship.
01:36In this way, the United States admits to this act of privacy, adding to its criminal record in the Caribbean,
01:42which already includes the murder of at least 80 people aboard fishing boats,
01:48in addition to the criminal economic blockade against Venezuela and other countries in the region.
01:57In this context, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denounced and strongly condemned through a statement this violent action.
02:04The statement refers this new criminal act as to the theft of SICO,
02:09an important asset of the strategic patrimony of the old Venezuelans,
02:13seized through fraudulent judicial mechanisms and upside the bounds of any legal norm.
02:18The statement continues,
02:19In these circumstances, the true reasons for the prolonged aggression against Venezuela have finally been revealed.
02:27It is not migration, it is not drug trafficking, it is not democracy, it is not human rights.
02:32It has always been about our natural wealth, our oil, our energy,
02:38the resources that belong exclusively to the Venezuelan people.
02:41Finally, the statement concludes that Bolivarian government affirms that it will appeal to all existing international bodies
02:48to denounce this grave international crime and will defend with absolute determination
02:54its sovereignty, its natural resources and its national dignity.
02:59Venezuela will not allow any foreign power to attempt to deprive the Venezuelan people
03:04of what belongs to them by historical and constitutional rights.
03:11The Assembly of the Peoples for the Sovereignty and Peace of our America is being held in Caracas, Venezuela,
03:29on its second day, to face the U.S. threats against Latin America and the Caribbean.
03:34During the event, Vice President Delsi Rodríguez thank all participating delegations
03:39which, despite threats and blockades, support the independence and sovereignty of the Bolivarian nation.
03:44A commission is met on Wednesday to discuss the proposals to contract the militarization of the Caribbean Sea,
03:51the economic war and the political extortion.
03:55Rodríguez also highlighted the failure of the ceremony to award the Nobel Peace Prize held in Oslo, Norway.
04:01No blockade can defeat solidarity, no blockade can defeat the love that other peoples of the world have for Venezuela.
04:16No threat or military aggression can destroy this love for our people.
04:19So thank you, dear brothers and sisters, who have come to our country with your message of love, solidarity, and support for Venezuela.
04:36In these times when Venezuela is not afraid, Venezuela is waging a great battle with the same passion,
04:42and the same emotion as our liberators did.
04:49Thanking God for giving us this opportunity to reclaim our history,
04:53to reclaim our moral struggle for independence, for freedom.
05:00Rodríguez also affirmed that the Nobel Peace Prize was sustained with blood
05:04by those who raised their voices in favor of genocide.
05:07The lady didn't show up.
05:13They say it was out of fear because Norway rose up,
05:15the people took to the streets to protest an award stained with blood.
05:23Those who attended the award ceremony were those who have raised their hands in favor of genocide against the Palestinian people.
05:33They went there to applaud a bloody award.
05:36They were all dressed up, but they failed, they failed, and they will continue to fail.
05:44Venezuela Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivan Hill,
05:47affirmed that today the continent is being threatened through the application of the Monroe Doctrine.
05:52The statement was made during an interview offered by Hill to the Multiplatform Telesur
05:57in the context of the Assembly of the Peoples for the Sovereignty and Peace of our America being held in Caracas.
06:02Today our continent is once again under threat,
06:10threatened through the application of the Monroe Doctrine,
06:14an old structure that seeks to dominate an entire continent,
06:19and that has been advancing in various stages,
06:22from the application of sanctions,
06:25the demonization of popular governments,
06:28of the progressive governments of our America,
06:31and today the military deployment,
06:34the placement of military assets throughout the Caribbean to threaten,
06:39to break the will of the peoples.
06:41In another part of the interview, Venezuela's top diploma said that the true international community
06:50of the peoples is meeting in Caracas to create a revolutionary alternative to the U.S. threats.
06:56As we have said, a liberating offensive, a patriotic offensive,
07:13an offensive of the peoples that we have seen in all the debates,
07:17discussing issues of security, issues of migration,
07:21the issue of Monroeism, versus Bolivarianism.
07:26And now we have a short break coming up.
07:28First remember you can join us on TikTok at Telesur English

07:35We will be right back. Stay with us.
07:47Welcome back.
07:48In Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro demanded an end to U.S. interventionism and refrain
07:53his call to build popular power to defend the country's sovereignty.
07:57During the Great March, in tribute to the 166th anniversary of the Battle of Santa Anais,
08:03the Venezuelan President demanded an end to U.S. interventionism in Latin America
08:08and expressed his gratitude for the global demonstrations rejecting threats of military aggression.
08:14In turn, the head of state highlighted the protests in cities in the United States and Norway
08:19where the population expressed its support for peace.
08:23Maduro assured that the time is coming for the union of the peoples of South America.
08:29He also called for the refounding of the Great Columbia and the emancipation of the region.
08:35He also affirmed that the true power of the nation resides in its organized people
08:40and in the construction of a just and free communal state.
08:44With a song of the soul, to give a round of applause to the people of the United States
08:56for their support to the people of Venezuela and their struggle to prevent the madness of war in South America.
09:05From Venezuela, we ask and demand an end to the illegal and brutal interventionism of the United States government
09:13the government in Venezuela and Latin America.
09:18From Venezuela, we demand an end to regime change policies, coups, and invasions around the world.
09:22No more Vietnam, no more Somalia, no more Somalia, no more Iraq, no more Afghanistan, no more Libya, enough with foreign wars.
09:46Damn it, enough with imperial wars, enough with imperial massacres, we are right,
10:03and this country belongs to the noble, sovereign, and brave people of Venezuela,
10:10and this country will never be colonized by any empire.
10:15Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro highlighted the support received from Norway,
10:21where citizens mobilized in rejection of foreign intervention in the country.
10:25Today was even more impressive.
10:32Yesterday, I publicly thanked the people of Oslo, and today I must thank and ask the people of Venezuela
10:39to give a round of applause to the people of Norway, to the people of Oslo, for supporting peace in Venezuela,
10:48for rejecting imperialist aggression, and for speaking out clearly about the truth of the peoples.
10:55The peoples know who the Nazis are, who the fascists are, and the peoples know very well who we are,
11:07and when I was on my way here for the march, I also saw many images of a march in Oslo, twice as many people as yesterday,
11:16in protest, for having stained the Nobel Peace Prize with blood and shouting no to war in Venezuela.
11:25Thank you very much. Today, applause for the people of Oslo.
11:33And in Italy, various political and youth organizations expressed their support for Venezuela
11:38in the face of the United States military threats.
11:41Social organizations in the city of Turin warned that the increase in tensions caused by the United States
11:45could escalate into military actions against the Caribbean.
11:50They emphasize that Washington intends to restore imperialist policies in the region
11:55and therefore urge international movements to remain vigilant regarding the actions of the Trump administration.
12:05Also near the IFO Tower in Paris, France, thousands of citizens gathered to express their support for the Venezuelan people
12:13in the face of interfering threats from the United States government.
12:17The demonstrators demanded an end to political and economic pressure from Washington
12:22and described coups, embargoes, unilateral sanctions and economic measures as the true crimes against peace.
12:29President Claudia Sheinbaum rejected any foreign interference against Mexico,
12:38following statements by her U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, about a possible military intervention in the country.
12:45In direct response to the insistence of U.S. President Donald Trump, who reiterated his willingness to order attacks against drug cartels in Mexico,
12:53the president reaffirmed her position and emphasized that the entry of foreign troops or attacks is an impossible scenario under her government.
13:02Sheinbaum assured that the lack of need for such actions and the agreements enforced between the two nations support her refusal.

13:31Welcome back.
13:46The president of the Honduran Congress, Luis Redondo, announced fraud in the country's electoral process
13:52and serious foreign interference to influence the vote.
13:55The president of the organization described the election process as null, void and fraudulent,
14:00asserting that the cancellation of the mandatory use of the biometric system allowed political parties to manipulate the voting records.
14:08Redondo also stated that this action constitutes an electoral crime and an usurpation of the powers of Congress,
14:15where the state is the only body with the authority to reform the country's electoral law.
14:20At the end of his statement, Redondo described the offer of a pardon to a convicted drug trafficker
14:26as an unprecedented act of coercion used as an electoral bargaining chip to ensure results.
14:33When we denounce the existence of an ongoing electoral coup, materialized by coordinated actions that seriously affected the legitimacy of the electoral process held in the country,
14:56to we absolutely condemn the interference of President of the United States, Donald Trump, who,
15:09through public statements made 72 hours before the November 30th elections, threatened and coerced Honduran citizens,
15:22altering the free exercise of suffrage.
15:29Also in Honduras, the Liberal Party's presidential candidate, Salvador Nasrbala, denounced electoral fraud
15:34and pointed the finger directly at the company responsible for providing technical support for the election process.
15:40The Liberal Party candidate denounced the adulteration of more than 19,000 election records by the company ASD,
15:48which was technically responsible for the process.
15:51He also asserted that responsibility lies directly with the international company in charge of the system
15:57and not entirely on the National Electoral Council.
16:00The candidate's accusation unleashed that the company deliberately caused failures in the system
16:06to allow the overriding of records with results favorable to the national party.
16:11The wife of former Honduran President and drug trafficker Juan Orlando Hernandez, recently pardoned by President Trump,
16:23lashed out at the press that investigated the case.
16:26Ana Garcia directly threatened journalists and media outlets that covered her husband's links to drug trafficking.
16:32A former first lady claimed to have a list of journalists who, according to her, were paid to disparage the former president.
16:40Garcia also denounced an unleashed conspiracy from the United States, accusing prosecutors of fabricating the case against Hernandez,
16:47who was found guilty of drug trafficking by a jury in New York and sentenced to more than 46 years in prison.
16:54With this topic on International Human Rights Day, the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador, Conaille, stated that the country is experiencing an unprecedented regression in human rights.
17:10In a statement released on Wednesday, the organization noted that the 1948 Universal Declaration established life and dignity as limits to state power,
17:20principles that are not currently respected in the Indian nation.
17:25The organization also noted that the country had almost 9,000 murders as of November, along with an increase in femicides, prison massacres and disappearances.
17:35In his statement, Conaille denounced the lack of progress in the security policies of Daniel Novoa's government and the expansion of organized crime,
17:45while reaffirming its proclamation that the state has failed in its duty to protect their life.
18:00The Non-Governmental Human Rights Commission in El Salvador denounced the government of Nayib Bukele's violations of the citizens' rights.
18:07The condemnation comes in the context of the 77th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 44th anniversary of the Mon Sote massacre.
18:18According to the organization, there has been a marked setback in human rights, the rule of law and democracy under the Bukele administration.
18:26The Commission also condemned the persecution of opposition voices, which has resulted in the imprisonment and mass exodus of different actors in the country's public life,
18:39who have expressed their disagreement with Bukele's authoritarian policies, using the state of emergency to maintain total control.
18:46In a short time during the current government, the separation of powers, which is the foundation of our republic, has disappeared.
19:01Judicial independence no longer exists.
19:03The bodies that control public power such as the Constitutional Chamber, the Attorney General's Office,
19:09and an ineffective Human Rights Ombudsman's Office, have all been eliminated by force.
19:16In the United States, Alfredo George in New York authorizes the declassification of key documents relating to the Child Sex Trafficking Network operated by businessman Jeffrey Epstein.
19:29U.S. media reported that the decision was made by Magistrate Richard M. Berman
19:34and is part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act passed by the Congress last month, which requires the disclosure of documents related to the case.
19:44On Tuesday, another New York federal judge, Paul Engelmayer, made a similar ruling covering documents involved in the prosecution of Epstein's accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.
19:55These measures were taken in response to public pressure to clarify the scope of the sexual exploitation network and its links to influential figures, including U.S. President Donald Trump.
20:14In this context, several leaked emails revealed Jeffrey Epstein's central role in pro-Israel causes in the United States.
20:21These emails showed that Epstein played a vital role in the financial empire of billionaire Leslie Wexner,
20:28including donating more than $128 million to Israeli causes between 2003 and 2018.
20:34Although Wexner claims that Epstein had no significant role in the Foundation's budget or finances,
20:41the emails revealed that he acted as the Wexner Foundation's de facto chief financial officer,
20:48making major decisions about taxes, lines of credit, large funds transfers and grants.
20:54We go to Asian continent. On Wednesday, Shanghai-based Chinese company, Archibot,
21:06reached a new milestone in its production when its 5,000th multifunctional robot, the Linshi X2, rolled off the assembly line.
21:16This model represents a major advance over its predecessors in terms of its reflexes, actions, mobility,
21:23reaction time and multitasking. Archibot is the first company in Shanghai to achieve large-scale production of humanoid robots,
21:31which reflects the city's motivation to achieve a leap in embedded intelligence,
21:37a sector that currently accounts for one-third of the country's total robotics production.
21:43And with that information, we have come to the end of this news brief.
