Recently, I had a chance to sit down with EF Education Protein Mechanic, Jeff Crombie,

when I was over in Girona, Spain visiting their service course.

I asked Jeff, what is your number one tip for changing flat tires?

And he had a really simple response.

It was practice, practice, practice.

Sit down with a tube and a tire, take your wheel on and off the bike, practice that,

put the tire back on the bike, change your tube, figure out how to use your tire levers,

all of that, because you don't want to be figuring this out when it's 30 degrees, you're

cold, you're hungry, you're on the side of the road, you're running out of daylight and

you only have one shot at it.

Do it at home, nail the procedure beforehand.
