00:29As far as we know, has been when they've crossed paths at their Hillsong Church in L.A.

00:33And honestly, we don't even know if they sit together or if it's awkward

00:37and they just stare at each other longingly from across the aisle.

00:40Regardless, Sel has also been down under for her church's annual convention in Australia.

00:45We spotted her looking super good on a yacht in Sydney Harbor, and this is interesting.

00:50We got the first glimpse of another one of her super intense scars

00:54from her life-saving kidney transplant surgery.

00:57Sel's BFF and kidney donor Francia Reza recently spoke to Self Magazine

01:01about the severe complications that caused this scar

01:05and quite literally almost cost Selena her life.

01:08I remember getting a text message from Selena saying,

01:11I'm so scared, I might die.

01:14And I was like, what?

01:15And I called, man, I was calling someone and that's when she got the complication

01:19where the kidney turned and broke an artery.

01:21And she had to go back in and they actually had to take a vein out of her leg.

01:25So she has a scar right here and build a wall around her artery.

01:29Like this whole thing.

01:30The more we learn about this whole situation, the more I love this woman.

01:34But moving on, what is going on between Justin and Sel?

01:37JB was spotted out at the Midnight Sun premiere supporting his boy Patrick Schwarzenegger,

01:42a super rare instance of Justin Bieber actually willing to go on a red carpet.

01:47JB was also spotted all up in the club that night after the premiere getting close to a mystery blonde.

01:53He and his crew and the girl were spotted leaving the LA hotspot around midnight

01:57and reportedly partied at his mansion until 4 a.m.

02:01So is anything going on here?

02:03Well, we don't think so.

02:05We're hearing from our insiders that even though this break from Selena is technically mutual,

02:10Justin is still all about Sel and can't stand to be away from her.

02:14However, considering it was Selena who initiated this break,

02:17Justin is respecting her wishes and giving her all the time she needs.

02:21Now, this is a little weird, so follow me here.

02:24We're told exclusively this split or whatever you want to call it is actually a good thing

02:29because in the past, Justin would always persuade Selena to do whatever he wanted to do

02:34and often disregarded Sel's needs completely.

02:37But our sources close to JB say he's learned from his past mistakes

02:41and is now committed to being a better partner for Selena.

02:44This kind of sounds weird considering they aren't together,

02:47but we strongly suspect that this is temporary.

02:50And our source says if making it work with Selena in 2018 means taking time apart, so be it.

02:55In the meantime, Justin is filling his Selena-free days with his second love,

02:59football or soccer, whatever you want to call it.

03:01He's been playing for a team we think is based on his church called Church Dome FC

03:06in an amateur league that competes in Southern California.

03:09So I'm glad he's staying busy in a healthy way.
