00:00I want your girl, man.
00:06Stop.
00:07Bro, you got to get your ass out of here.
00:09Stop it.
00:09You get your ass out of here.
00:10Well, do something.
00:12Come on, clown.
00:13Come on with it.
00:13Do something.
00:13Come on, clown.
00:14Thank you, man.
00:16Come on with it, dog.
00:18Do you make logical sense?
00:19That's what you say?
00:20Now you need security?
00:21Yes, because you're being crazy.
00:23I'm being what?
00:24Being crazy because I'm asking for a logical explanation
00:26why we can't get on the plane?
00:30Come on.
00:32Come on.
00:33Come on.
00:34Come on.
00:35Come on.
00:36Hey, can you tell me please?
00:38No.
00:39No.
00:40That's fair.
00:41Three, two, one, go.
00:42Run, run, run, run, run, run.
00:51Customer complaints are at an all time high.
00:55You sons of bitches.
00:57Putting workers on the defensive.
01:00Whoa.
01:01And with labor shortages, supply chain woes, and a 40% rise
01:06in violent retail crime, it's an all out battle
01:11at the checkout.
01:15The customer is always right.
01:16Call the cap.
01:17It's just plain wrong.
01:19I am a customer.
01:20I'm a customer too, Becky.
01:21Ah!
01:22Once upon a time, airlines included the necessary elements of plane travel and the price of one ticket.
01:33But these days, passengers are faced with additional costs for everything.
01:37From meals, to seat selection, to checked bags, and even carry-on luggage.
01:44So airlines be warned.
01:46When policies meet resistance from customers, tensions with employees can sometimes reach a tipping point.
01:54Like this altercation, which reportedly began when this employee confronted this customer.
02:11For using a wheelchair to transport his suitcases, instead of paying for a $5 luggage cart.
02:20Other staff members step in to calm the situation.
02:37And according to news reports, the customer is arrested for simple assaults, though the charges are later dropped.
02:44In a statement to the media, the airline says they do not tolerate violence of any kind.
02:50And the employee is terminated.
02:53But even when things don't become physical, a tense back and forth could have potentially serious consequences for everyone.
03:09At an airport in Texas, a couple is being denied boarding.
03:12Because according to this gate agent, their backpack does not fit the airline's free personal item size requirements.
03:19It fits.
03:20We just saw it fit.
03:21So what?
03:22So don't report then if it fits.
03:23We can record it.
03:24Go ahead.
03:25But even though the passenger's bag apparently does fit in the sizer, the employee continues boarding without them.
03:33Okay, so I need you guys to move out the way.
03:35We're trying to get on our flight though, you know what I mean?
03:37You're not going on.
03:38We're not going on the flight now?
03:39No.
03:40For what?
03:41For security?
03:42For what?
03:43Apparently, the man's boarding pass was already scanned.
03:46But because he was helping his girlfriend with her luggage issue, he did not get on the plane.
03:52And now the airline employee is refusing to let him board.
03:56I'm not going to leave my partner.
03:57Does that make any...
03:58Does that make any logical sense, ma'am?
03:59Do you make logical sense?
04:01That...
04:02How is that a rebuttal?
04:03What?
04:04You don't have...
04:05You know how unprofessional you sound right now?
04:06Do you make logical sense?
04:07That's what you said?
04:08I need security.
04:09Now you need security?
04:10Yes, because you're being crazy.
04:11I'm being what?
04:12Crazy.
04:13I'm being crazy because I'm asking for a logical explanation why we can't get on the plane.
04:17If you turn the camera around...
04:18Uh-huh.
04:19It's in the...
04:20We just...
04:21It's in there right now, ma'am.
04:24Fortunately, both parties managed to keep relatively cool in this standoff.
04:29What's your name, ma'am?
04:30I just called you Liz.
04:31Liz?
04:32Liz?
04:33Liz.
04:34And after agreeing to pay the $100 carry-on bag fee, rather than risk further confrontation
04:40and delays...
04:41Can you bring her on the boarding pass?
04:42It's not boarding.
04:43Can I make it show?
04:44I don't care that I...
04:46Yeah, just pay.
04:47No, she's saying it's not showing up.
04:49And settling a last-minute snafu with a boarding pass, the couple is finally allowed to
04:55board the plane with their backpack that fits under the seat.
05:02Her bag fits here, so what's the issue?
05:04While the passengers were eventually given vouchers for the airline, haggling over baggage
05:09costs and potentially being barred from boarding one's flight is not how anyone wants to spend
05:14their vacation time.
05:16No, it does not fit.
05:17Yeah, yeah.
05:18It fits.
05:19We just saw it fit.
05:21So remember, airline employees have final say on who and what goes on the plane.
05:26We're trying to get on our flight though, you know what I mean?
05:29You're not going on the flight.
05:30So it's always best to keep calm.
05:32I'm being crazy because I'm asking for a logical explanation why we can't get on the
05:36plane.
05:37And you'll have the best possible chance to carry on.
05:40For adventure-seeking tourists, hang gliding offers a thrilling and scenic experience.
05:56And for those who are new to the sport, tandem flights pair beginners with skilled instructors
06:03who do all the work.
06:06While the customer can simply enjoy the magnificent scenery.
06:10As a harness tethers their entire body safely and securely to the glider.
06:15Or at least, that's the idea.
06:21In Switzerland, Chris Gursky is atop a 4,000 foot high mountain, getting ready to take off
06:28on his very first hang gliding flight.
06:30The day in Switzerland was absolutely beautiful that day.
06:33Blue sky and sunny and a little cool.
06:36So I was really excited to do this.
06:39Chris is paired with a professional tandem pilot and clipped into a safety harness.
06:44My pilot had his clip all clipped up and he checked behind me again.
06:49Are you ready for someone?
06:50Yes.
06:51We walked into the edge of the hill and he said, all right, are you ready?
06:55An attached camera captures all the action as Chris begins his flight.
06:59Three, two, one, go.
07:00Run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run.
07:05And as soon as we ran off that hill, your feet leave the ground.
07:09And you're supposed to level out horizontally with the pilot.
07:14And you sail away.
07:15Well, as soon as our feet left the ground, he leveled out and I sunk straight down.
07:22It turns out that Chris's safety harness, though fully attached to him, is not attached to the hang glider.
07:30There was no getting to enjoy a second of it.
07:33It immediately went to chaos.
07:35As Chris holds on tightly to the pilot, who's unable to turn the glider around, the ground below quickly falls away.
07:46We were getting way too high to even think about dropping off at this point.
07:51And I realized then that the only thing holding me onto the hang glider was my hands.
08:00So I was concentrating on holding on for my life.
08:06The pilot is immediately aware that Chris is in serious trouble.
08:10He looked at my back and I think he realized pretty quickly that I was unattached.
08:15But at this point, there's very little he can do.
08:18He just yelled down, hold.
08:23He knew that this was a life or death situation.
08:30It took me a couple seconds to kind of figure out what's going on here.
08:42And I thought I did something wrong.
08:44I thought, you know, there's something wrong with the glider.
08:47The glider is fine, but Chris's safety harness is not clipped in.
08:52Meaning the only thing preventing him from falling off is the grip his right hand has on the pilot.
09:00My right hand kept slipping off of anywhere I was holding on to.
09:04So I ended up reaching up on my left hand and grabbing onto the bar, which is actually the landing gear.
09:09The pilot reaches down to try and help.
09:19But it's nearly impossible to both grip Chris and safely control the glider.
09:24He grabs at Chris's left hand, trying to hold him in place.
09:31Then reaches down for Chris's harness for a more secure hold, which seems to allow Chris the opportunity to grab onto the pilot's left leg with his right hand.
09:46But still, things are not looking good for him.
09:51At one point I looked down and I'm thinking to myself, this is such a beautiful day.
09:56The trees are changing colors and I'm going to fall to my death here.
10:00And at that point in time, I just said, no, not going to happen.
10:06So I tried to stay calm and just hold on with everything I had.
10:11For two minutes and 14 seconds, Chris clings to the landing gear and the instructor.
10:17How I held on that long, I don't know.
10:21By the very end, my hand was starting to open up.
10:24My fingers were starting to open.
10:28Finally, the pilot locates a safe place to land.
10:36Most people think I jumped off or let go, but my feet actually scraped the grass and it just ripped my grip free.
10:43And I was going about 45 miles an hour.
10:47So it's like getting someone out of a car or something, you know.
10:52That's the closest to death I've ever come in my entire life.
10:55That's when I felt my wrist was a dull pain in my wrist.
10:59And I looked down and I saw the bone was kind of bulged out a little bit.
11:03And I pretty much knew that it was broken, but I was alive still.
11:08So that's, that's a big plus.
11:10Chris is rushed into surgery.
11:13They had to put a titanium plate in with seven screws and I ended up tearing a bicep tendon.
11:19Probably due to the fact that I was holding out with this hand the longest for taking most of the weight.
11:26Though the mishap might have been prevented with a more thorough safety check, Chris harbors no resentment towards the instructor.
11:33It was human error and he stayed with us the whole time in the hospital and he ended up being a stand up kind of guy, you know.
11:42And I mean, it was an accident, so I don't really have any bad feelings about him.
11:47I would not deter anybody from trying hand gliding.
11:52It is absolutely fantastic.
11:54And as a silver lining, Chris believes the sport is safer than ever thanks to him.
12:00Now there's hang checks and your pilot and yourself get strapped in and you lay on the ground pretty much with the glider and you're hanging from it off the ground.
12:10Three, two, one, go. Run, run, run, run, run, run, run.
12:14Which is great news for all future riders hoping to avoid a terrifying adventure like this.
12:21While online sales continue to grow, many customers still enjoy shopping in person.
12:34Despite the fact that it does occasionally make them vulnerable to one very unpredictable element.
12:40Hey, can you tell me the this?
12:41No.
12:42No.
12:43Online pranksters.
12:45No.
12:46That's fair.
12:47Who can't seem to resist an apparently endless stream of victims.
12:54But pranksters be warned, not everyone likes to be the butt of a joke.
13:01Excuse me, man.
13:02In Dallas, Texas.
13:04Here you go.
13:06Call me some time, I'm single.
13:09Call me some time, I'm single.
13:12I need a sugar mama.
13:13A prankster tries to get a rise out of shopping couples.
13:16Yeah.
13:17Where's it, punk ass?
13:18Hey.
13:19Come on.
13:20Come some time.
13:21I need a sugar mama.
13:22You got a problem?
13:23The young man and his counterpart take turns offering their numbers to women in the store.
13:33Excuse me, how you doing?
13:35Um, you look good.
13:36You took my number?
13:37Uh, my boyfriend is my boyfriend.
13:38That's your boyfriend?
13:39Hoping to capture an online worthy reaction from their male companions.
13:44You can't.
13:45You can't.
13:46Multitask, bro.
13:47She can't tell my number, bro.
13:48Oh, I see what you trying to do.
13:49What you mean?
13:50What you trying to do?
13:51Some are quick to catch on.
13:54What you talking about?
13:55I'm for real.
13:56No, bro.
13:57Why not?
13:58I'm okay.
13:59Damn, bro.
14:00That's crazy.
14:01Hello?
14:02Excuse me.
14:03How you doing?
14:04You look really gorgeous.
14:05I wish you would have took my number.
14:06Uh, no, sir.
14:07That's my man right here.
14:08Thank you, though.
14:09Oh, no.
14:10He good.
14:11He good.
14:12He good.
14:13He good.
14:14Those who take it seriously are not amused.
14:15Where the f*** are all that, though?
14:16How am I supposed to know that's your man, though?
14:17You seen me and her walking around here?
14:18That could've been your b****.
14:19That could've been your b****, though.
14:20Which seems to be the kind of reaction the two are looking for.
14:33I'm single sometimes.
14:34I'm single sometimes.
14:35What?
14:36I'm single sometimes.
14:37My husband is standing right here.
14:38It don't matter.
14:39And the more they push the limit...
14:41What?
14:42Get the f*** out of here, bro.
14:43What you gonna do, Bob?
14:44Stop.
14:45Stop.
14:46...the bigger the reaction...
14:47I want your girl, man.
14:48Yeah.
14:49Bro, you better get your f***ing ass out of here.
14:50Stop it.
14:51Get your ass out of here.
14:52...until the prank is no longer just fun and games.
14:56Go do some f***.
14:57Come on, clown.
14:58Stop.
14:59Come on, clown.
15:00Even as the couple appear to put two and two together, the prankster pushes his luck.
15:07Bro.
15:08I don't know who this man is.
15:09I just want your woman, man.
15:10I'm telling you, come on, let's go outside and we'll fight for it.
15:12How about that?
15:13Come on, come on, come on.
15:14Stop it.
15:15Let's go.
15:16Come on.
15:17Apparently, keeping up the charade as the husband boils over.
15:21Hey, children, bro.
15:22You gotta set a s*** in your pants.
15:24You wanna s***?
15:25You gotta set a s*** in your pants, cause if you do, you'll take your ass to the parking
15:28lot.
15:29Bro.
15:30And you got your big homie right here to take your back just in case it goes south for
15:33you.
15:34And it soon becomes unclear.
15:35If I ever see your s*** outside the store again, I will beat you to s*** to death, dog.
15:40I don't play around like that, bro.
15:42If either party will back down.
15:44That's the mother of my s*** children, homie.
15:46Don't give it down.
15:47Bro.
15:48You gotta set a s*** in your s***.
15:50Hey, come on.
15:51Come on.
15:52I know this.
15:53Come on.
15:54Let's go.
15:55Until the woman's cooler head finally seems to prevail.
16:00It's unclear if there are any repercussions.
16:03And while it seems the risks this prankster takes are all in an effort to get more hits.
16:09You get your ass out of here.
16:10Go do something, s***.
16:11Come on, clown.
16:12Come on.
16:13Stop.
16:14They might not be the kind of hits.
16:16You gotta watch a woman, man.
16:17I'm trying to miss you.
16:18Well, come on.
16:19Let's go outside and we'll fight for it.
16:20How about that?
16:21Come on.
16:22He's looking for...
16:23If I ever see your s*** outside the store again, I will beat you to s*** to death, dog.
16:30When it comes to protecting a business establishment from potential assailants, no matter where
16:37it is in the world, it is generally advisable that employees don't fight back, especially
16:43if there are any weapons involved.
16:46But there are times when workers ought to take the risk to save both their stores and themselves.
16:53In Brazil, two people pull up to a gas station on a motorcycle.
16:59And as an attendant prepares to fill their tank...
17:11One of the riders appears to rush towards him.
17:18And the attendant promptly reacts.
17:20It's unknown if they suffer any repercussions other than being doused with fuel.
17:33But fortunately for this employee, it was more than enough to drive them away and keep him safe from harm.
17:39But not all employees have such a strong defense in the palm of their hand.
17:46At a shop in Columbia, an employee is on the phone.
17:51When two men wearing helmets enter the establishment.
17:55With what appears to be...
18:00An ulterior motive.
18:07One of them pulls out what appears to be a gun.
18:11And then...
18:13Leaps over the counter.
18:15The man seems to immediately go for the employee's watch.
18:19Prompting the employee to fight back.
18:26Though he manages to take off with the watch.
18:29The employee appears to get in two solid hits with her cell phone.
18:34Which sends them running off.
18:36It's unknown if the men are caught.
18:39But even though the two were no match for this lone employee.
18:44In any business, it always helps to have backup.
18:49At a smoke shop in New Jersey.
18:54A customer who seems to be showing an employee a small flare gun.
19:00Appears to try and load it.
19:03Prompting the employee and his sister who also works there.
19:08To spring into action.
19:12Then another employee, their mother.
19:15Runs out with her phone.
19:17And goes to get help.
19:24Eventually, the siblings manage to contain the man.
19:27And according to news reports.
19:30He is later charged with robbery.
19:33Possession of a weapon.
19:35Possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
19:37And resisting arrest.
19:39It just goes to show.
19:41That when not only their livelihood.
19:43But also their family is at stake.
19:46Some employees won't hesitate to protect it.
19:57So let's just be showing up.
19:58We will have to deal with them in the works of these two areas.
20:01All right.
20:03You know that's the end of life.
20:05All right.
20:07Let's see.
20:09We move to our house.
20:11We move to our house.
20:13To our house.
20:14We move to our house.
20:16We move to our house.
20:18We move.
20:20We move to the house.
20:22We move to the house.
