00:00If we look at those four players, Joe, deserving to be there,

00:03three quarterbacks and one tailback.

00:07And no shock to anybody, right?

00:09Because those four guys, for the most part,

00:11have been in that conversation all year long.

00:15So that should be interesting.

00:17Usually a quarterback award, Donnie, but you never know.

00:20We'll see if maybe Love can get it done.

00:24Maybe that's their way of smoothing things over.

00:28They give their running back to Heisman just as like an olive branch to say,

00:34oops, we're sorry for leaving you out in the playoff?

00:37Exactly.

00:37He's like, you know what?

00:38Come back to us and play football still in the ACC, and away you go.

00:42But the one thing I do get a kick out of, like, you know,

00:44Love had such a good season, but really out of the spotlight for mostly

00:48because Notre Dame didn't play anybody for about 10 straight weeks.

00:50And then he hits that pose for the Heisman.

00:52Again, he was really good, Stanford.

00:54And I think it was maybe an Instagram post he had.

00:57And it's like, it's been real, Notre Dame.

00:58It's like, oh, what do we know?

00:59They didn't make the college football playoff.

01:01But this was last week that it happened.

01:02He's got a 1% chance on Calci to win the Heisman.

01:05He's not going to do that.

01:06Which brings me to the next player.

01:07It's Fernando Mendoza.

01:08It was a 93% chance on Calci, which means if you splash down, Joe,

01:13$100 wager, you'd get $7 back.

01:16So a 7% return on your money, which isn't great.

01:19But I was under the adage.

01:20And again, votes are being tabulated now.

01:22We don't know officially who's in.

01:24And if you're just looking at Mendoza right now at a minus 2,500 on that graphic,

01:27oh, he's a shoe and bet all your money.

01:29Again, Notre Dame was a minus 3,000 to get into the college football playoff

01:33three minutes before that show started, only to kick Notre Dame out of the playoff.

01:38So the odds makers do not actually vote on who gets the Heisman Trophy.

01:42It's the team, excuse me, it's the Heisman Trophy winners of the past

01:45and some select guys from the AP.

01:47But understand this.

01:48I thought, Joe, if Mendoza, no matter what his statistics were,

01:52just beat Ohio State, he would get the Heisman.

01:55And it looks like, Joe, it's playing out that way, at least in the odds market.

01:59It is.

02:00And listen, I don't think you can go wrong with either of those guys up at the top of the bar.

02:05I think there's a case.

02:06I can make a case for all of them, right, Donnie?

02:09Obviously, if head-to-head matters, then, you know,

02:12Fernando Mendoza should have it over Julian Sane.

02:15But I can make a case for all of them.

02:18I don't think there's any sort of, I don't know that he's that big a favorite,

02:22but, you know, I don't think any which way they go,

02:25you're going to get a ton of pushback.
