00:30The Lingering Will

00:44Kingdom Hearts is renowned for its challenging hidden bosses that can be a real ball ache

00:48for players to defeat.

00:49I mean, Sephiroth wasn't exactly hidden, but he made up for that by upping the ball ache

00:54to over 9000.

00:56Conquering these mammoth challenges can be very rewarding if the player is well prepared,

01:00and the Lingering Will is arguably one of the toughest bosses in the entire Kingdom

01:04Hearts series, if not the toughest.

01:06To unlock this battle, you must complete the game and finish all the worlds.

01:10This will unlock the Gathering, allowing you to face, and likely be gutter stomped by the

01:14Lingering Will.

01:26Reptile

01:39Left right up down B B do a handstand flip off a priest up down double A. Fighting games

01:43are often filled with elusive easter eggs and secrets that require intricate methods

01:48to discover.

01:49Dragon Ball Z, Street Fighter, the list goes on and on and on.

01:52Mortal Kombat continues this deeply frustrating and also unbelievably cool tradition packed

01:57with hidden content that dedicated fans eagerly seek out.

02:05One such hidden gem is the Reptile Boss Fight, concealed behind the brutal Spike Stage.

02:11Meeting the necessary conditions will unlock a battle with this iconic character, who has

02:15since become a staple of the series, turning the Scorpion Sub-Zero duo into a trio.

02:31Slot Machine

02:32In the SNES version of Star Fox, in the game level Asteroid Belt Route 3, Fox will encounter

02:46two massive asteroids.

02:48Shooting the right most one will reveal an origami bird.

02:51By flying into, but not shooting the bird, Fox will be transported to the level out of

02:55this dimension.

02:57Whoever was the first person to do this 100% did it by accident, and if they didn't, they

03:02The bizarre level is best experienced first hand and culminates in a battle with the games

03:20Ozma

03:21The Final Fantasy series is packed with hidden content.

03:30Some so obscure that it took players over a decade to uncover.

03:34In fact, in Final Fantasy 9, there was a side mission that wasn't discovered until a translation

03:38of the original Japanese game guide was made, and western audiences discovered hidden paths

03:42with a PS5 controller in their hands.

03:45But let's focus on one of the games secret bosses, Ozma.

03:49Accessing Ozma is a challenge in itself.

03:51You need to play the Chocobo Hot and Cold minigame and collect enough Chocographs to

03:55teach Choco the Sky ability.

03:57This will enable you to reach the Air Garden, where you can interact with the Eidolon Cave

04:01and face this formidable boss.

04:03I've dumbed it down, so look up a guide, and also, good luck, Ozma is not easy.

04:23The Cow King

04:31No discussion of hidden bosses is complete without mentioning the legendary Cow King

04:35in Diablo 2, so infamous that it's been referenced in many other games.

04:39Absurd and hilarious, this is gaming at its finest.

04:43The unique way you have to find this hidden boss is more infamous than the absurdity of

04:46the boss itself.

04:47To face the Cow King, you must venture into the notorious secret cow level.

04:53Finding this hidden area requires combining Wurtzleg and a Tome of Town portal in the

04:56Horridrick Cube, creating a portal in the starting area of Act 1.

05:01Entering this portal transports you to the secret cow level, where you'll battle waves

05:04of cows before the Cow King appears.

05:07Diablo 3 pays homage to this with its own secret level, named Not The Cow Level.

05:22Rodan

05:28Platinum Games is renowned for its over-the-top action games that redefine epic battles, with

05:33Bayonetta being a standout title that cemented the developer's reputation in this Japanese

05:37action genre.

05:38A hidden boss in both Bayonetta games is Rodan, who typically serves as Bayonetta's guide

05:43and supplier.

05:44However, by collecting a substantial number of halos, you can unlock the toughest fight

05:49in the game, an angelic version of Rodan.

05:52And don't think for a second that he acts angelic, he's downright devilish.

05:55He will utterly demolish you if you're not prepared.

06:06Drivix

06:07There aren't a lot of games crammed with more hidden items, areas, enemies and lore than

06:11Destiny, and it became a lot of players' destinies to find them all.

06:15It's a hardcore MMO, which means that many players may never experience some of Destiny's

06:19best content, as it is often locked behind group events, end-game activities or high-skilled

06:24requirements.

06:25Drivix appears only occasionally in the heroic hard-mode version of the story mission from

06:30the Taken King expansion.

06:32Players have a strict time limit to defeat him, but are rewarded with the Black Spindle,

06:37a sniper rifle that refills its magazine if you land headshots with all three rounds.

06:42If I had to land three headshots in a row or lose all my fingers, I'd have to hire someone

06:47to write these scripts.

06:49The Nameless King

07:05The Nameless King is a formidable challenge that no Dark Souls player should face without

07:10meticulous planning and preparation, or alternatively just getting good.

07:15This two-phase fight tests the player's skill and resilience, and only the most seasoned

07:19Dark Souls players can conquer it with relative ease.

07:22I, for one, am one of those players who conquered it with relative ease.

07:26And by relative ease, I mean crushing difficulty, and by conquering, I mean I never did this

07:30boss because I threw in the towel way before this.

07:33After reaching Arc Dragon Peak by performing a specific gesture, yes, yoga, you'll eventually

07:38come to a fog wall and face the Nameless King, first battling him on the back of a drake,

07:43and then on foot.

07:45This epic and bombastic fight is a highlight of DS3, but there's an additional treat for

07:49Dark Souls lore enthusiasts.

07:51It is heavily implied that the Nameless King is the firstborn son of Gwyn, the final boss

07:56of the first game, whose identity has been hinted at throughout the series.

08:00And for those who don't care about the lore, I may as well have just said he's the firstborn

08:03blim blomp of Tinkle Willy.

08:11The Moon Presence

08:23Bloodborne is without a doubt one of the best Souls-like games on the market, and for a

08:28reasonable price, you too can rip your hair out and break a controller.

08:31Through a complex series of events, you can find hidden items called One Third of Umbilical

08:35Chord, despite there being four in total.

08:38Consuming an entire chord will enable you to fight the Moon Presence, the Great One

08:42who has been secretly manipulating Gehrman, your wheelchair-bound companion.

08:46There's layers here that I'm not willing to pull back, so let's move on to our final entry.

09:08Dullahan Dullahan deserves a mention on this list

09:15not because he's an exceptionally difficult or impressive fight, but because of the unique

09:19steps required to reach him.

09:21Despite this, he still is an exceptionally difficult and impressive fight.

09:24Dullahan isn't just the super boss of Lost Age, he's also the super boss of the original

09:29Golden Sun.

09:30To access his dungeon, you need all the gin from both GBA Golden Sun titles, which necessitates

09:35two GBAs and a link cable.

09:38Without these, you're out of luck.

09:39This is like needing two Pokemon games and a link cable to collect all the Pokemon in

09:43Pokemon Red and Blue.

09:44Oh wait, that's right, Nintendo did that.

09:47F***ing Gameboy.
