00:00I just think I need to start with the team.
00:05What?
00:06Everybody's got Floobie.
00:08Obviously, if I have people who can dance, I would love for them to dance.
00:12I think I made a poor decision, and she shouldn't have let me laugh.
00:16I don't think that walking out on your teammates in the middle of the week is okay.
00:20We all miss Audrey a lot.
00:22I'm really sorry, guys.
00:24This dance is about sad brides, and you're giving me nothing.
00:26I know you all know someone who's gone through a breakup before, so pull from that if you have to.
00:32Audrey, what?
00:33Nothing stops.
00:35Your advanced small group winners are something old, something new, something bad, something new.
00:43Audrey, you had a little meltdown.
00:45Well, maybe if her teacher wouldn't have made her upset.
00:48I'm so disappointed in you.
00:50Tammy, I do a lot of things that I could be disappointed in you for, too, including letting your kid get away with it, and that's why she doesn't learn.
00:56Tammy's days of being exempt from everything are numbered.
01:09I'm up to here with Audrey and Tammy.
01:11It's been constant distractions.
01:13I want to just keep things calm, keep things cohesive, get through this season so there's no more disruption to this team, and they don't have any more chaos.
01:23The problem is, Tammy doesn't think Audrey does any wrong, dance-related or not.
01:28I swear.
01:29Hopefully, Audrey being on probation again this week will put a stop to Tammy's pattern of causing a huge drama fest every time Audrey isn't the lead or she gets a dance correction.
01:40I mean, the week she quit, she wasn't the lead, and I don't think that's a coincidence.
01:45I think the best thing for Audrey is to be here and focus on dance.
01:49We just need to say a prayer that we survived these last three weeks before nationals.
01:53Woo, the big trophy!
01:58How do you feel about, like, how the competition ended with me and Kaylee kind of getting into an argument?
02:04I don't like to see you guys fight because that can, like, mess up, like, my relationship with them.
02:08Audrey, your relationship with them will never change no matter what.
02:13Glow and Kaylee love you.
02:14Even if I had a fight with them or are falling out, their love for you would never change, so I don't want you ever to think that.
02:20Okay.
02:21I like that my mom defends me, but sometimes I think it's best that, like, you just don't say anything at all.
02:29Ashley!
02:31Welcome back, Ashley!
02:32Um, I'm really excited to be back in the studio, especially because I was sick last week, but I was just a little bit confused because when I see Audrey, the last that we heard is that, um, she quit the team.
02:44Okay, go stretch.
02:47There's, like, flyaways.
02:49I don't care.
02:50Use this.
02:51No, that's what we have to do.
02:52All right.
02:53Ashley!
02:55I'm trying to stretch.
02:56I'm just sporting things.
02:57Hey, you can stretch.
02:59I can do it while you're stretching.
03:00Let me get this one on the side.
03:05I don't like it.
03:06Ashley, stop.
03:07Hey, everyone!
03:08Time for pyramid.
03:10I already did it.
03:11I don't agree with her.
03:20How are we all feeling?
03:21Good.
03:22I'm not sure if the three of you who were missing last week heard, but Audrey's back, and we got our sixth group win in a row.
03:30The further this winning streak goes, the scarier it kind of gets, right?
03:38We have the potential to have an undefeated season, but I still haven't seen this group dance to the best of their ability.
03:45On that note, pyramid.
03:47Smiley.
03:52Smiley.
03:56Ashlyn.
04:02Lily.
04:03You were all sick last week, and you didn't dance.
04:05And last on the bottom row, Audrey, you danced well, still on probation.
04:16You had a little meltdown, and you threw off the group.
04:19You could have just taken a minute to calm down, focus on the task at hand, which is go on stage.
04:26Either that, or you should have politely removed yourself.
04:29Not disrupt the kids right before they went on.
04:32At the end of the day, we are setting them up to be people that can work professionally.
04:37That's the point.
04:38Well, she was upset, and I'm just asking that you are a little sensitive to your little sister, who is going through a really hard time in your life.
04:45And I want you to think about your family and how hard it is going through something difficult.
04:51Yeah, Tammy, everybody goes through hard things in their life.
04:54I was a kid when my parents separated, too, but I still remained professional and kept my composure when I was at dance.
05:02Audrey has been in my life for a decade now.
05:05I know that Audrey has what it takes to become a real professional dancer, but I'm trying to get it to sink in with her that the older you get, the harder you have to train.
05:13And she's not training more.
05:14She's training less.
05:15And the reason for that is Tammy.
05:17With all the distractions that she's caused, Tammy needs to get out of my way, get out of her daughter's way,
05:22so that I can help her become the professional dancer that she says she wants to be.
05:25I can't understand how you can come down on her, because her reaction to bringing up something that is very awful for her in her life right now.
05:35This is where she should be loved and supported.
05:38And she most certainly is, which is why she wants to be here, I think.
05:42Audrey, you're allowed to be upset, but if I can help you learn to focus that emotion into your dance while remaining professional, you'll be unstoppable.
05:51Your mom's not getting that.
05:52It makes sense why they would want me on probation.
05:56It makes sense why they want to, like, test me for how I'm going to react to things, and I get it now.
06:02Me and my mom are just going through a lot, and I think it's, like, my right if it gets talked about, or, like, my mom's right, I guess.
06:09But she's the one who keeps bringing it up, and I think that's, like, the problem.
06:14We're moving on.
06:15On the second row.
06:19Bellatrix.
06:19The emotion was less than desirable.
06:26Next on the second row.
06:32Layla!
06:33I beat it, I got it!
06:33You did.
06:34You moved up a little bit.
06:35Layla, you did a good job in the group.
06:37You did a great job on your solo.
06:39Sometimes it's just not those judges' cup of tea.
06:42Last on the second row.
06:53Gina.
06:53Gina!
06:54Gina.
06:55You haven't been a standout emotionally, and I think that you're really getting there, finally.
07:02You did a great job.
07:03I'm back once again, baby.
07:07On the top of the pyramid, Mia!
07:13We had a first place win by Mia.
07:16That was one of the best solo performances we've had on this team.
07:18And you performed ballet steps that you've never even heard of or done in your life.
07:23I'm so happy that I'm on top of the pyramid again, because it's where I belong!
07:33We're in week seven of this season, and I'm looking to see who is going to be dancing at nationals.
07:41Nationals is three weeks away.
07:43And with everything that's been going on with this team, I haven't even had a chance to think that far ahead.
07:49So starting this week, I really need to keep my eyes on all of these girls to see who is ready to have a featured role at nationals,
07:56and who is capable of helping Project X win its first national championship.
08:01This week, we will have two solos.
08:05Her solo...
08:06is going to Ashlyn.
08:10Your solo is called the Declaration of Independence.
08:16Second solo is going to Lily.
08:21Lily, your solo is called the Flower Queen.
08:24Lily has had a rough few weeks.
08:27I wanted to be proud of myself.
08:30You should be proud of yourself.
08:32And it has been disappointing that Ashlyn hasn't lived up to that performance at nationals last season.
08:37But I'm looking to see who can have a breakout performance and handle the pressure of nationals.
08:44So maybe they're the ones.
08:46The two of you will be competing against each other, and this might be your only chance.
08:53This week's group is called Ballet Boys.
08:56We're having a little bit of a redo.
09:00Redemption week.
09:01Gina and Bellatrix will be dancing on point.
09:04Audrey, you will be the lead of the ballet dance.
09:09And you will be on point, too.
09:12And Kaylee is doing the choreography.
09:16Right now, you are on probation.
09:18I want to make it very clear, yes, you are the lead.
09:21Because we deserve to see you fight for your life to be on this team.
09:26Last season, I choreographed a ballet number, and I was really excited about it.
09:29It was going to be great.
09:30And then my lead, Audrey, did not make it on stage because she injured her foot backstage.
09:36Want an ambulance?
09:37I want someone now.
09:39I don't have a piss.
09:40I think it was her easy way of getting out of it because she was nervous.
09:42And it was just the perfect excuse.
09:47Your job this week is to go lead this team to a ballet victory.
09:55I think Audrey does know that she is so much better than other girls in the group.
10:01So we want to challenge her because I think that will keep her more focused on dance and
10:07not about what's going on around her.
10:09Well, she's definitely going to be challenged this week.
10:11The whole dance is really hard, technically, but especially Audrey's part.
10:15You guys ready?
10:16Let's get stretched.
10:17You guys get out.
10:20Do not come in there.
10:24Get your hands in.
10:27Here we are again, having to really count on Audrey.
10:31And it seems like you're sitting here, like, everybody's friend, everything's hunky-dory.
10:36I feel like you've done a really good job of, like, making me forget what happened
10:40because I haven't seen you in a while, and I am happy to see you.
10:43But the last time I saw you, you were the one who was accusing us of stuff that, like,
10:47honestly hurt my feelings.
10:49What I don't want to do is walk my child into an environment where we're not being welcomed
10:55back with open and loving arms.
10:57We love Audrey.
10:59We've been saying that time and time again.
11:01It's honestly upsetting to us that you're having this perspective.
11:04It was hurtful.
11:06Yeah, I know.
11:06I came at you guys really defensive, and I was hoping for a little grace because Audrey's
11:1214 and, you know, going through stuff.
11:16I don't know who she thinks she is.
11:18All of us have done nothing but support her and Audrey.
11:24I mean, I think that we have been empathetic and supportive of you, and all we want is
11:29the best for you and Audrey.
11:30But it's just so hard because this has happened, like, multiple times over multiple years, like,
11:35even before the divorce.
11:37I just want you to know how your actions affected you guys.
11:41I know.
11:41I'm really sorry.
11:43I feel awful.
11:44I love you guys, and I love your children.
11:46I'm sorry.
11:47I don't know what else I can say.
11:48You guys can keep telling me what I did wrong, and I know I did wrong.
11:52I know I am wrong.
11:53Tammy gets overwhelmed by any little thing, and when she's doing the waterworks game,
11:59it's hard for me to have a conversation.
12:01But the problem is, we can never hold her accountable if she's always crying.
12:06It makes us look like the bad guys.
12:08This is emotional manipulation at its finest.
12:12I'm sorry.
12:16I feel for Tammy having to deal with the repercussions of what the other moms are feeling.
12:21But I think Tammy is getting way too much for this.
12:26Audrey needed space, and she did what she thought was right.
12:30There's just a lot going through her head, and I know she feels guilty.
12:33I think there's a little bit of regret.
12:36But at the end of the day, Tammy's going to do what Tammy's going to do.
12:39Well, it's so fun to be back.
12:45One big happy family.
12:48Can I just ask one silly question?
12:50What the f*** is hunky-dory?
12:54For the rest of this week, you can't rely on your mom for anything.
12:57You get to do it all on your own.
12:59I'm just a kid.
13:00That's just called a dance mom.
13:02It's not just a daughter.
13:03I want to prove myself to this glow.
13:05I want to get a solo at a national.
13:06It just gets, like, a little stressful.
13:08Nancy nailed this solo with everything else going on and all the pressure.
13:12What?
13:13Why are they killing you?
13:16I'm failing so freaking much to just kick us off.
13:20War boys, have fun.
13:21This dance has so many things right now.
13:23Let's go to war.
13:24The group dance this week is called Ballet Boys.
13:33It is inspired by the movie Mad Max.
13:37You will be portraying post-apocalyptic soldiers who will go to any length to survive.
13:44There's going to be a lot going on.
13:46It's going to be intense.
13:46It's going to be strong.
13:48And I know Kaylee well enough to know she's going to make this really, really hard
13:51because ballet is either right or it is wrong.
13:5499% right is wrong.
13:57Kaylee is a phenomenal ballet teacher, and I'm happy to have her taking the lead on choreography
14:02because she knows what hard work it takes to get to the top.
14:08People who don't grow up and do all this, they have no concept that ballet is so much harder
14:13than other forms.
14:13Like, they have no idea that this is super impressive.
14:17I mean, I can imagine wearing those pointe shoes for an extended amount of time.
14:21It starts to hurt your feet.
14:22One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
14:26Eight.
14:27Not nine.
14:28I have a reputation in the ballet community, and last year I set a number on these girls.
14:33That was supposed to be a really big moment for me as a choreographer, and the version
14:37that ended up going on stage was a complete disaster and nothing I was proud of at all.
14:42Audrey injured herself right before she went on stage when she was practicing her scorpion.
14:48They all had to learn new parts, and Bellatrix stepped in, but the version of the scorpion
14:53that she did on stage, a lot of people do on stage.
14:56But Audrey is totally advanced enough to be able to do this scorpion on pointe.
14:59But with all the distractions this season, she has lost a lot of technique and a lot of
15:04flexibility, so it's really going to be hard for her to get this.
15:07We're not thinking about our technique as much as we can.
15:09Your body was going all over the place, and I think that you need to practice a scorpion
15:12at home as much as you can.
15:14You have to be better than you've ever danced on this team, or ever.
15:18I think this is definitely your most important performance on this team by far.
15:21I'm really excited to have this challenge this week because I have to do a scorpion on pointe,
15:25and as you get older, like, you grow and your muscles start to, like, get harder to, like,
15:30stretch, so I'm going to have to work really, really hard if I'm going to want to even come
15:34close to doing a scorpion.
15:35But I do really look up to Miss Kaylee, and I want to make her proud knowing that she's
15:40the one who basically taught me ballet.
15:47Audrey, you have to stop.
15:51It's not here and then crash down and then try to potterbury after.
15:54Wherever you're going to step, step.
15:56Oh, yes.
15:57Don't.
15:58I went like that, and I hit my shoe, and I came from scratch.
16:01So girls on pointe, they need to ice their feet tonight.
16:04It hurts so much.
16:05I can't feel the top of my shell.
16:07Okay.
16:08Allie, but I'm so big.
16:09We're down.
16:15Do you want me to help you and stretch?
16:17No.
16:18Are you getting annoyed now?
16:19Stop asking so many questions.
16:21We're the only ones here.
16:23I'm not going to sit here in silence.
16:24Just talk to the wall or something.
16:26Hi, wall.
16:27How do you think your solo is going to be today, wall?
16:30Wall doesn't have a solo.
16:32I feel like she's just, like, annoying me to annoy me.
16:35I mean, the wall doesn't talk back.
16:38Yeah, the wall doesn't talk at all.
16:40Good morning.
16:42Solo week.
16:43Our favorite week.
16:46Ash, Lily, Corinne, Lisa.
16:47Come on in.
16:52Hello.
16:53Good morning, Ms. Glow.
16:54Hi, ladies.
16:55We're going to start solo rehearsal.
16:57Two of you are going head to head, so you're going to be against each other.
17:01Both of you have potential to win, but I expect one and two.
17:06My expectations for Lily and Ashlyn are really high this week because they each have their own set of unique skills that are fascinating to watch.
17:15But neither one of them has had a breakout performance this season.
17:18I think a big part of that is because of the way their moms affect them.
17:22All right, so Corinne, I don't want you dumping any of your anxiety on Lily this week, okay?
17:27Ashlyn, does your mother drive you crazy sometimes?
17:31Yeah, but she just kind of, like, says, like, things over and over again.
17:36And she tries to be funny, but it's just, like, kind of annoying.
17:42She's, like, really annoying.
17:44She hasn't said a word.
17:48She thinks she's helping, but she's not.
17:51She's making things worse.
17:54I think she probably...
17:55And I don't know why you're about to start laughing because nothing's funny.
17:57I'm not laughing.
17:58I can see her in the mirror.
18:00Calm down.
18:03Can you stop laughing?
18:05Wow.
18:06Your mom hasn't done a thing since she walked in this room.
18:09When you're, like, a teenager, like, you're kind of, like, growing up and, like, you have, like, a lot of emotions.
18:14And, like, sometimes when, like, your mom's, like, bugging you, it kind of makes you mad and stuff like that.
18:17And, like, you're kind of, like, very sensitive because it's hard being a teenager.
18:21So this is what I need you to do.
18:23I want you to go make a list of all the things your mom does to annoy you, okay?
18:29Lisa, I want you to make a list of all the things you do for Ashlyn.
18:32We'll come back in and we'll talk about them, okay?
18:35All right.
18:36Okay.
18:37Ashlyn, fun.
18:38We're going to have fun.
18:39Well, you're going to be the flower queen.
18:46Everybody's like, oh, she's beautiful, she's beautiful.
18:48But underneath, there's this sinister, dark character.
18:52So it's all about maybe this internal struggle of the good side of you and the evil side of you.
18:57So you need to think about that when the music turns dark.
19:00Does that make sense?
19:00I really, really like my dance.
19:02I'm, like, still, like, a little unsure about this.
19:04Like, I kind of understand it.
19:05But I want to prove myself to Miss Glow.
19:08I want to get a solo at Nationals.
19:09It just gets, like, a little stressful.
19:11Keep everything strong, even if it's easy.
19:13It's got to have energy behind it.
19:15Karinny, you have to not bother Lily today.
19:19Like, stay away from Lily because she feeds up your energy.
19:23Is this anxiety or happy tears?
19:26Anxiety.
19:27Dude, she's your own worst enemy.
19:32But you cannot lose your mind this week.
19:34I know.
19:34I mean, her last solo, she forgot it on stage.
19:41I forgot the ending.
19:43I'm just involved.
19:44We're so close to Nationals.
19:45You can't do that again.
19:46You're great when you're in your comfort zone.
19:49But I want to see more of the character now.
19:50Make every step matter.
19:52This is her shot.
19:53This is a really big deal.
19:55This isn't like, oh, it's just one dance.
19:56It's not.
19:57Glow's going to use these performances to help her choose who she wants to represent the team at National.
20:02I'll do my best to hold back my anxiety from stressing Lily out.
20:05But if I think that she needs that extra push and motivation, I'm her mom, and I'm going to give it to her.
20:10Can she nail this solo with everything else going on and all the pressure?
20:15Dance mom, Karin.
20:16It's a little intense.
20:17I'll be scared of you if you were my dance mom.
20:25I don't think I'm scary.
20:26I'm fun.
20:27She embarrassed me.
20:45She's cringy.
20:46Do you guys want to help me write some things out?
20:52Yes, yes, yes.
20:52Okay, so she can say she always says dude a lot to you.
20:56And she's just unfunny.
20:57Oh, she's very clueless?
20:59Oh, yeah.
21:00Put like a bunch of exclamation points after that because that's the biggest one.
21:04That's the main one.
21:04The main one.
21:05I know there's a lot of things that my mom does to annoy me,
21:07but I know that there was this many things.
21:10My friend just kept on writing.
21:13Hey, Ashley, Lisa, let's go.
21:16Oh, that's a long paper.
21:19How many pages did you got?
21:21Four.
21:22How many do you have?
21:24One.
21:25I realized I had so much stuff.
21:27Lay it on me, kid.
21:28Let's hear what you got.
21:29She does weird dances.
21:32Always trying to help when not needed.
21:34Ruins my makeup.
21:35She always gives me bad pep talks.
21:38She doesn't give me an allowance.
21:40She doesn't have swag.
21:43She likes my dog more than me and my brother.
21:46And then that last one, you tell everyone everything that I do.
21:51All right, Lisa, let's hear yours.
21:52Okay, I would be happy to read mine.
21:54Are you listening?
21:56Okay.
21:57I buy her food, clothes, and shoes.
21:59I provide a roof over her head.
22:02I help her to save money for her future.
22:04I give her money when she asks for it because I love Ashlyn.
22:10And when Ashlyn's happy, I'm happy.
22:13Well, like, I'm not trying to be mean, but, like, it's kind of your job because you're my mom.
22:17I don't think you get it yet.
22:21I don't think you realize how much she really, really does and how much you might miss it if you didn't have her to do that.
22:28So for the rest of the week, you can't rely on your mom for anything.
22:32You get to do it all on your own.
22:35That should be a relief for you.
22:38Okay.
22:39I love you.
22:41I think Ashlyn has convinced herself that she does not need her mother for anything.
22:46When Lisa is anywhere in Ashlyn's vicinity, all hell breaks loose.
22:50And it's usually right before she's about to go out on stage.
22:52And I don't know that Ashlyn will ever give her best performance unless she learns to coexist with her mother.
22:59Your dance is about someone who is trying to get her independence from her mother.
23:05And it's called Declaration of Independence.
23:09Okay.
23:10You want to try the round off?
23:11When you go into it, don't push it all.
23:14Totally split.
23:16And then turn it on.
23:18I don't know if she's just, like, tween, but things that are just normal mom things about me irritate her.
23:25And, like, I don't really know why.
23:27It's that absolutely makes me sad.
23:29You're like her punching bag because she knows you love her unconditionally.
23:33Yeah.
23:34Sometimes I feel like I need to let my kids struggle a little bit so that they can be independent.
23:39If she does struggle, are you going to fight the temptation to help her?
23:44I'm going to have to try.
23:45Ashlyn just thinks a lot of the things I do for her are either overbearing or I'm not doing enough.
23:53Which, you know, might be true.
23:55But there should be some level of, like, appreciation and not expectation.
24:01I'm hoping that this lesson can help us find what that middle ground is.
24:05This is a good style for you and it's, like, I like seeing a little bit of a softer side of you rather than just, like, or crying or whatever.
24:14Find moments of happiness even in this because you're making this decision for you.
24:19Okay.
24:20Let's put on costumes.
24:23There you go.
24:25Walk through the beginning.
24:26Here, let me have that before you destroy it.
24:32You're responsible for the wig, all your costume pieces.
24:34This has to be attached and not fall off.
24:37Okay.
24:37Got it?
24:38Mm-hmm.
24:39All right, put that on real quick.
24:43What's the matter?
24:44I'm just, like, a little bit overwhelmed.
24:46I still need help with, like, my hair.
24:48And I always appreciate when she does that.
24:51Do you tell her that?
24:52Because she'd like to know you appreciate that.
24:55Well, I don't say, like, the pretty part, but I say thank you.
24:59Okay.
25:00Go see your mom.
25:06It's okay.
25:06Take a deep breath.
25:08It's okay.
25:09You're welcome.
25:09You're welcome.
25:09You're welcome.
25:09Okay, okay, okay.
25:11I'm myself.
25:12I can't do it.
25:12I'm just a kid.
25:14How am I going to remember my baby to bring in a costume?
25:17I have so many other things that I have to worry about.
25:20And this is called Dance Moms, not just a daughter.
25:23You're here for a reason.
25:25Are you going to help me this weekend?
25:27I'm not sure.
25:29For me, it just feels like you never need my help.
25:33Let's see how it goes, okay?
25:35Okay.
25:42Winning this week is more important than ever for some of these girls.
26:01Ashlyn and Lily will be going head-to-head in solos, and I'm hoping this gives me a really
26:07good indication of who is prepared for nationals.
26:10I need the hairspray, and I need the brush.
26:14This group dance is a second chance for me to show what I can do as a choreographer, but
26:17it's also a chance for Audrey to show what she's capable of as a ballet dancer.
26:21This is Audrey's chance at redemption, but Kaylee is very proud of this piece, so I think
26:26that it will be a huge disappointment to her if they don't pull it off.
26:29If you're not doing a solo this morning, go get bald.
26:33No, no, no.
26:33Okay, your hair cut.
26:34Lily, you know, you can brush your own hair.
26:36You know, it's becoming so much more obvious to me.
26:39What?
26:39How much Lily needs her mom.
26:41She does, and she's respectful about it.
26:43I wouldn't throw stones, Lisa.
26:45We're just observing.
26:46Okay.
26:47It's really tight.
26:47One thing I've learned this week with Ashlyn is she is more independent.
26:54As a mom, it's, like, hard to make that transition, and...
26:57It's just perfect.
26:58I need to know when to let go, too, but...
27:00Oh, wait, I got it.
27:01She's doing great.
27:02I did it without my mom.
27:03Doing a fantastic job, honey.
27:05This is the first time I've seen my wig on my own.
27:07I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing.
27:09I'm a little bit scared because, like, I don't want to throw off.
27:12I just fucked my ear.
27:15I kind of wish I had some help right now.
27:17Ashlyn needs to know what it feels like to be independent, so I need to give her space.
27:24How do I tie this?
27:30Mom.
27:32She stepped out, sweetie.
27:39You can do it.
27:40You got it.
27:41Ashlyn, you can figure it out, baby.
27:42You can make it because I want to be, like, stretching and stuff.
27:46Okay.
27:46Well, then hurry up.
27:48Then you can.
27:50Okay.
27:50Got it.
27:51Just take the bobby pin in.
27:52You're good.
27:53It's kind of unfair because, like, Lily doesn't really have that many things that she needs
27:56to do, but I had to, like, put on, like, all these, like, accessories, and, like, I had
28:02to do my hair, and I have to put on this hat, and it's hard to get ready for, like, being
28:06like by myself.
28:07I feel like I'm going to do bad.
28:08You know how important this is, right?
28:15This is your opportunity to show this glow.
28:17Okay?
28:18We've been waiting for this.
28:19Why am I scaring you?
28:20I understand.
28:21What?
28:22I understand.
28:23I know.
28:24I'm just trying to help you.
28:25Corinne, give her some space.
28:28Free Lily.
28:30Lily's biggest challenge is to not crack under the pressure of her mother.
28:34She wants everything perfect, and she expects Lily to be perfect.
28:37She's not going to be.
28:38We're getting down to the end of the season.
28:41There's a lot on the line for both of you.
28:43Whoever scores the highest keeps you in the running for a solo at Nationals.
28:48May the best man win.
28:50Everyone wants a solo at Nationals because it's a huge honor.
28:54Studios from all over put their best dancers up to compete, and big-time choreographers and
29:01casting directors watch those performances online.
29:04Kids go viral off of this.
29:06If Lily and Ashlyn want to earn a solo there, it starts with them overcoming their issues
29:12here.
29:13Up next, we have Ashlyn with Declaration of Independence.
29:15I was nervous about doing it on my own and getting ready by myself, but I really want
29:31Ms. Go to be proud of me, and I want to show her that I can have a lead at Nationals.
29:34Next, we have Ashlyn with Declaration of Independence.
29:37Let's go!
29:38Let's go!
29:39Let's go!
29:40Let's go!
29:41Come on, Ashlyn!
29:42Come on!
29:43Thank you!
29:44Yes!
29:45Color me in life
29:47It's the air that makes me feel alive
29:50I got this fire inside
29:53And I'm ready
29:55Not waiting for a sign
29:58This is my moment, I was born to rise
30:01I'll step out and take this ride
30:04I feel alive
30:06So I'm gonna stand my ground
30:09Got something to believe in
30:12Even if I fall back down
30:15Nothing's gonna stop me now
30:18Cause now I'm part of the pool
30:21Now I'm standing tall
30:30This is the moment I was born for
30:33Won't let this pass me by
30:36I come alive
30:38So I'm gonna stand my ground
30:41Got something to believe in
30:43Even if I fall back down
30:47Nothing's gonna stop me now
30:49Cause now I'm part of the pool
30:52Cause now I'm part of the pool
30:58I'm proud of myself and I'm happy that like I accomplished all these things this week
31:16Yeah, and my waist stayed on
31:17But I still need my mom sometimes
31:19I know this solo is perfect for me
31:25So like I want to do it extra good
31:27I'm just really nervous
31:29Corrine, clean your camera
31:32It's dirty
31:33One job
31:34Up next we have Lily Flower Queen
31:38Up next we have Lily Flower Queen
31:40Up next we have Lily Flower Queen
31:45To have her
31:50She laughs
31:50hoped
31:52You can imagine
31:55What do what they have
31:55taiwng
31:56If you have me
33:38Hopefully none of us can yell that.
33:40We made a song after our solos last year, and we were like, we hope that we don't get yelled at, we hope that we don't get yelled at.
33:48Ashlyn was great, but I'm just so impressed with Lily right now.
33:51Even though I wasn't completely able to stop acting anxious around her, she still killed it.
33:55She's not only a strong dancer, but she has strong work ethic, and that's a huge asset for our team.
34:01I was just like so focused because I'm not letting myself do it wrong.
34:05Once I hit the ending pose, my heart rate went from like 10 million to 100.
34:11Yay!
34:12Good job, girl.
34:13Good job.
34:14Yes.
34:15Amazing.
34:16Oh, I see smiles.
34:17That makes me happy.
34:18How do you feel?
34:19Good.
34:20Ashlyn, did you feel calmer doing all this on your own?
34:25Um, I guess like I learned throughout the week that like, I don't show my mom like enough appreciation and like, I don't think I realize how much she actually helps me.
34:39And I think I just like take advantage of that.
34:42I'm sorry for like, not like, I love you.
34:50I'm sorry for like, I guess taking advantage of you and not like, I guess like appreciating what you do for me.
34:59I have to learn too, I get it.
35:01I need to back off too a little bit.
35:03I love you so much.
35:05I bet you.
35:06I bet you always.
35:07You're gonna make me cry.
35:09This dance has so many things right now.
35:12I'm like having heart palpitations.
35:14Ballet can only be perfect or it's wrong.
35:15And I'll be damned if they're gonna lose their winning streak with my choreography in my genre.
35:19He just wants to make everything about her.
35:24I feel like I'm drowning.
35:25Like, I'm just so upset.
35:27I'm scared.
35:28Let's go, girls!
35:30Come on!
35:31Woo!
35:42Okay, war boys, let's see what your makeup looks like.
35:44Oh!
35:45Wow!
35:46Oh my god!
35:47Oh my god!
35:48I need everyone to get ready.
35:49There are a lot of pieces that have to go on the costume also.
35:52I should go back.
35:53I don't know what this.
35:54My war boy name is Rach.
35:57Oh!
35:58Ah!
35:59Look at me!
36:01I'm a war boy.
36:02I'm not afraid of anything except for being good.
36:07I'm a little afraid of that.
36:09This is a huge week for me and this is kind of like the make or break week for me.
36:14Like this is like my one shot to prove that like I deserve to be back.
36:18We don't want a repeat of last year and it would be unreliable of me if I let any more
36:23things happen again.
36:24I want to get better so I'm trying to work to get better.
36:28Audrey, go stretch.
36:29We're a scorpion.
36:30Can you pull me?
36:31Ugh!
36:32I love you but I'm wearing all white.
36:33Go stretch again.
36:34Wait, do you have set?
36:35Do you have free back?
36:36Okay.
36:37Free back.
36:38Okay, now turn this way.
36:39No, but...
36:40Now go.
36:41Oh.
36:42You're gonna get dirt all over me.
36:43Let's go!
36:44Audrey, stretch yourself.
36:45Go, go, stretch yourself.
36:46Go your own leg.
36:47Don't speak to her like that.
36:49I'm sorry.
36:50I'm sorry.
36:51Audrey was having such a good week up until this moment but at least we didn't have to
36:56call any ambulances.
36:57I'm not going to address this right now because I need Audrey to stay focused and if we lose
37:02Audrey again, there is no revamping this routine this time in five minutes.
37:05Okay, but if I had acted like that to you and you were Tammy in that situation, there would
37:10be a stretcher.
37:11With your name on it.
37:12Yeah.
37:13100%.
37:14I'm a ballet dancer.
37:15It's what I'm known for.
37:18It's what people expect you guys to be the best at because I'm your teacher.
37:22This is the hardest dance that you've probably ever done.
37:25You are performing right now.
37:27Audrey, I'm counting on you.
37:29The dance as a whole is so good.
37:31But if one part of it isn't so good, then it's less than perfect.
37:35Ballet can only be perfect or it's wrong.
37:37Kill it, please.
37:39I'm like having heart palpitations.
37:40I'm freaking out a little bit.
37:41If they go on stage and don't get their best performance, I'm just going to be really
37:46sad because it can be spectacular.
37:50I'll be damned if they're going to lose their winning streak with my choreography in my genre.
37:56More boys!
37:57Half-life!
37:58More boys!
37:59This number has the potential to be one of the best routines that we've ever put on stage.
38:03It just all depends on them.
38:05This dance has so many things right now.
38:08Like it's my redemption from last year.
38:10I hit a mic guy and I had to go to the hospital.
38:13It's my redemption for probation.
38:16I'm scared.
38:17I feel like I'm about to go to war.
38:23Let's go, girls!
38:24Come on!
38:47Let's go, girls!
38:48Let's go, girls!
38:49Let's go, girls!
38:50Let's go, girls!
38:51Let's go, girls!
38:52Let's go, girls!
38:53Let's go, girls!
38:54Let's go, girls!
38:55Let's go, girls!
38:56Let's go, girls!
38:57Let's go, girls!
38:58Let's go, girls!
38:59Let's go, girls!
39:00Let's go, girls!
39:01Let's go, girls!
39:02Let's go, girls!
39:03Let's go, girls!
39:04Let's go, girls!
39:05Let's go, girls!
39:06Let's go, girls!
39:07Let's go, girls!
39:08Let's go, girls!
39:09Let's go, girls!
39:10Let's go, girls!
39:11Let's go, girls!
39:12Let's go, girls!
39:13Let's go, girls!
39:14You're on the process for this.
39:42I did this part.
39:43You did the right, left.
39:44It's been slow with looking straight at me like this.
39:45I can't spot her.
39:46There's no idea.
39:47I don't know whether she is.
39:48She's right up there.
39:49How could you not see her?
39:50I just went to work and got to see them.
39:52I really thought that it was good.
39:53The line was so crooked.
39:55Literally the only thing I messed up was my scorpion.
39:57But I got it up.
39:58Audrey's dreams were really good.
39:59Scorpion was not.
40:00She should have been perfect this week.
40:02That was her assignment, to be perfect.
40:04And that was not perfect.
40:05That was not worth getting off probation.
40:12Here we go.
40:16Juniors, ages 9 to 12, overalls.
40:20In fifth place, Copycat Dance by Cammy.
40:25Nationals is three weeks away.
40:27And I need to think about who can handle the pressure and secure a win when it matters the most.
40:32If Lilly and Ashlyn can't score high with the judges here, there's no way they're gonna score high at Nationals.
40:37In fourth place, Declaration of Independence, Project X Dance Company.
40:53Well, I thought I was gonna place, like, at least third place, not fourth.
40:58I'm kinda speechless.
40:59In third place, Still Have Me, Anna Marie, School of Dance.
41:11In second place, The Flower Queen, Project X Dance Company.
41:22I worked really hard this week, so I am a little, like, bummed that I didn't get first.
41:27But I still have two weeks to show Miss Glow that I deserve to have something at Nationals.
41:31Take a bow, everyone! Congratulations!
41:37We are going to do 11 to 14 top groups in third place.
41:47It's getting bad again.
41:49Dance by Cammy!
41:52I felt bad for Kaylee.
41:54There were far too many mistakes in the group dance.
41:56It was not the dance I was expecting to see on stage.
42:00Considering how the solos did, I doubt we're even gonna place.
42:06And now in second place, this is...
42:11Show Off! Dance by Cammy again!
42:13Are we still in place?
42:14And now in first place...
42:18Ballet Boys! Project X Dance Company!
42:19Everybody come down here!
42:20Wow!
42:21Okay, yes.
42:22Let us see you.
42:23Come on in here.
42:24All right, tell me your studio.
42:25Project X Dance Company!
42:26And who choreographed this routine?
42:27Kaylee!
42:28Kaylee!
42:29Kaylee!
42:30Shout out to you.
42:31Congratulations!
42:32I just wanna say...
42:34Yes, let us see you. Come on in here.
42:37All right, tell me your studio.
42:38Project X Dance Company!
42:41And who choreographed this routine?
42:43Kaylee!
42:45Kaylee, shout out to you. Congratulations.
42:49I just want to say, we are so excited to announce
42:54we are going to have nationals in New York City.
42:58Do you think that you can get into New York City in three weeks?
43:01I can't wait to see you.
43:04Let's have a round of applause for the ballet boys.
43:08Take a bow. Very good.
43:12I'm kind of surprised that we won
43:14because I kind of just think it was luck.
43:16I think you're going to need more than luck to internationals.
43:20I don't really care because I just want to go to New York
43:22and I want to see Broadway shows
43:24and I want to be on Broadway
43:26because I want to keep going on the stage
43:27and I want to act and sing
43:28and I just really want to go to New York.
43:30I can't wait. It's going to be so fun.
43:34Yay!
43:35More putt! More putt! More putt!
43:44The good news is we are undefeated.
43:46But guess what you have to do to stay there,
43:50especially for nationals.
43:51Do good!
43:52In the words of the 10-year-old, do good!
43:56You guys need to realize
43:57nationals is a whole different beast.
44:01You're going to compete against
44:02some of the best dancers in the entire country.
44:05Yay, we got first.
44:06Yay, we have another trophy.
44:07But I want better for you.
44:09You should not have been scared out of your minds,
44:11but from the second you walked on stage,
44:12I could tell that you were.
44:13It was a lot wrong.
44:15Audrey, you didn't hit scorpion.
44:18You were wobbly before you ever went into it.
44:21A smart dancer would not have tried to go up on point
44:25when they were falling over or just standing on one leg.
44:27Yeah, I don't think you've done what you need to do
44:30to be off of probation, unfortunately.
44:32You said that it was based on her behavior,
44:35not on the dance.
44:36I mean, when she spoke to Bella like that earlier,
44:38that wasn't behaving.
44:38Right, yeah.
44:39Audrey, stretch yourself.
44:40Go, go, stretch yourself.
44:41I need her to pull my legs.
44:43Go, go.
44:43Don't speak to her like that.
44:45Yeah, when she yelled at Bella,
44:47that was absolutely not good behavior.
44:49You yelled at Bella?
44:50She raised her voice.
44:52Why would you talk like this?
44:53You did.
44:54Audrey, you did.
44:55You did.
44:55No, you did.
44:56No.
44:57It's not what you said.
44:58It's the way that you spoke to her.
45:00I didn't realize, like,
45:04that it came out so, like, disrespectful as it,
45:07like, I think I just said it,
45:09and I think it was just, like, in the moment,
45:11like, fast.
45:12I appreciate your apology,
45:14but let's just learn from this and move on.
45:17You need to just, you know, take a breath.
45:20All right, um, I need the girls.
45:22I want you to pack up, head out.
45:24I want to talk to your moms for a bit.
45:25Anyway, as you all know,
45:31next week we're competing in our hometown,
45:33and I've been planning to include the dads.
45:40What if their dad can't come?
45:41I think the kids are going to be disappointed.
45:43Well, the kids will be disappointed,
45:44but is there a punishment to them
45:46if their dad doesn't show up?
45:48If their dad can't make it,
45:49are they still part of the dance?
45:50I never said that the kids were going to be punished.
45:53I'm just worried about it
45:54because I'm trying to get Audrey's dad to come.
45:56I have literally begged him,
45:59which is so embarrassing
46:00that I have to beg him.
46:02Now she's still in probation,
46:03so there's still a punishment.
46:05I feel like I'm drowning.
46:06Like, I...
46:07I don't...
46:08I'm just so upset,
46:10and I'm failing so freaking much.
46:12I don't think it's something
46:13that we need to dwell on right now.
46:14I think being upset here right now
46:16isn't going to help.
46:18Just kick us off.
46:19It's not mine.
46:20I just ask simply
46:26that everybody does everything they can
46:27to get the dads to come.
46:29Yes?
46:30Yes.
46:32Oh, my God.
46:33She just wants to make everything about her.
46:35She is not ready to come back
46:36and be an asset to this team.
46:38I'm not joking.
46:39Okay.
46:39Studio Blue closing
46:46tainted my reputation,
46:48and being in our hometown,
46:50trying to hold on
46:51to this undefeated season,
46:53I don't think anyone
46:53really understands
46:54the pressure that I'm under.
46:56You're dancing for the last time,
46:58Bellatrix!
46:58As soon as the spotlight
46:59is on Bellatrix,
47:01she crumbles.
47:02So what happens
47:03when she focuses on her solo,
47:04and then she still
47:05is not good enough for you?
47:06I'm sick of it.
47:06Smiley,
47:07I want you to remind me
47:09why I chose you for this team.
47:11Ow!
47:11Ow!
47:12Ow!
47:12I want to thank
47:13all of the dads for coming.
47:15If Alex doesn't show up,
47:16I'm going to have
47:17a really heartbroken kid.
47:18I just want to dance for my dad.
