00:00President Trump, will you rename the Kennedy Center the Trump Center?
00:03It's not up to me.
00:05We have a board of 40 people that are really the most prestigious people in the United
00:11States.
00:12We have the honorary chairwoman on the board, right?
00:15As the first lady, she's honorary chairwoman, but we have...
00:19It's a really prestigious board, and that's up to them.
00:21I don't know what they're doing about that.
00:23And can you tell us about...
00:25We are saving the Kennedy Center.
00:27And can you tell us how did you choose the nominees today, the winners today?
00:31Yeah, we went through probably 50 different names.
00:34We were politic by a lot of people, some of them the stars themselves, but we went through
00:4050 names and we picked the five, and we're very happy with it.
00:44They're really very different, very different audiences, but as I said just down the line,
00:50they're different audiences, but when you add them up, it's 100% of the public.
00:55Can you talk about with Prime Minister Carney and Mexican President Scheinbaum when you
01:02were here just a few days earlier?
01:04Mexico and Canada, we met with the, as you know, it was pretty well, a lot of people
01:10were here.
01:11Right here we met, and the Prime Minister of Canada, President of Mexico, and we spoke
01:17for a half hour.
01:18Very good, very productive, mostly trade.
01:20Will you restart negotiations with Canada?
01:21Oh, I'll, look, I have a great relationship with Canada.
01:26They're very tough traders, but I have a very good relationship with the Prime Minister and
01:31with Canada.
01:32And you had said you would halt those negotiations earlier after the terror.
01:35Well, I have halted them.
01:36And so will you restart them?
01:37Yeah, we'll see.
01:38I mean, you know, the problem is Canada makes a lot of things that we don't need because
01:43we make them also.
01:44But we'll work it out.
01:45Canada's a special place, and they really are good at ice hockey, aren't they?
01:49Mr. President, what is more difficult, Mr. President, hosting the Kennedy Center Honors
01:56or preparing for the State of the Union?
01:59Well, could I answer that question after the show's over?
02:03If you give it to me, absolutely.
02:04I'll give it to you after the show's over.
02:06What's more difficult?
02:07This is a little bit different.
02:08Yeah.
02:09But you know, I hosted The Apprentice when it was the number one show on television.
02:12We did 42.5 million people that night.
02:15It was a little different television than it is there.
02:17We had more people watching in those days.
02:19What are you expecting, Mr. President, in terms of ratings for this year's Kennedy Center
02:24I think it will do great.
02:25I think it's going to do great.
02:26Ratings are complicated now because you have streaming in and on and everything else.
02:30But I think it will do very big.
02:32I mean, just look.
02:33I mean, just based on what you see right here.
02:36If you came here last year, you saw a line that was about one-tenth this size.
02:41You weren't even here last year, right?
