00:00Shortly after 7.50 p.m., multiple shots rang out in the 400 block of Graymon Avenue West.
00:06Officers responded and located multiple gunshot victims.
00:10Officers then assessed and secured the scene for Birmingham Fire and Rescue to enter and render aid to victims.
00:16We can confirm that a total of nine victims were wounded by gunfire,
00:21with at least one being confirmed deceased, one critical, and seven in stable condition.
00:27Multiple firearms were recovered from the scene by officers and turned into our property room.
00:33One person has been detained and transported to the Birmingham Police Headquarters for cautioning.
00:38This is an act of scene with developing information.

00:55This is something that we not only just see here in Birmingham, but we see it all over the nation.

01:32So, we're just very thankful that more individuals were not injured.
