00:46First up, we're in Ocala, Florida, where law enforcement officers in the air and on the
00:51ground are in pursuit of a suspect in an allegedly stolen truck traveling at speeds over 100
00:57miles an hour.
00:59Corporal Justin Tortora of the Marion County Sheriff's Department was on patrol when he ran the license
01:04plate on a red truck.
01:06It came back as stolen, and after the driver blew through this red light, the corporal turned
01:12on his lights and siren, but the suspect sped off.
01:17Now, as the driver crosses over into the opposite lane of traffic, Corporal Tortora has a tough
01:23time keeping up.

01:33Soon, the Sheriff's Department helicopter, Air One, locates the suspect, then switches its
01:38camera to night vision for better tracking.

01:48Corporal Tortora and other officers back off as Air One takes the lead in following the

04:33year-old Demarcus Deshaun Payton when officers search his backpack in the truck they find ammunition

05:11the canine bites the Department of Juvenile Justice later took custody of the teen whose identity was
05:18made public despite his minor status per Florida law he was charged with multiple counts of burglary
05:25and theft along with fleeing eluding possession of a firearm by a minor and resisting law enforcement
05:32he was adjudicated delinquent in order to serve 15 days of secure detention followed by probation until
05:39age 19. Next we're in Healy Alaska where state troopers are in pursuit of a suspected drug dealer
05:49who's on the run and shooting at them earlier troopers got an alert from the narcotics squad
05:59that 45 year old Michael Grimes a convicted felon and suspected drug dealer they'd been surveilling
06:05was headed their way armed and potentially transporting drugs also in the car Grimes girlfriend 42 year old
06:14Melody Perry whose past record includes a conviction for theft troopers had already set up position outside
06:21of town in order to reduce the risk to civilians

06:35troopers activated their lights and sirens and quickly caught up to the suspects who at first appeared to be complying
06:41trooper Aaron Mobley circled around in front of the suspects truck to block him off but he managed to
06:51swerve his way out of the trap and take off
06:54now troopers further up the road set up spike strips and as the suspects approach
07:06he managed to slow down trooper Nathan Hollenbeck moves in to attempt a pit maneuver
07:16about a minute later the effects of the stop sticks begin to kick in

07:26though the pit is unsuccessful it manages to slow the suspects down even more and the troopers
07:37quickly surround them but when trooper Mobley pulls up next to him the driver reacts
07:43and as the chase continues so do the gunshots from the suspect

07:59deathly force is authorized where it gets to the populated area of
08:03with the situation quickly escalating and approaching a heavily populated area trooper Trevor Norris takes the
08:10lead and returns fire through his windshield the suspect retaliates
08:19and the two become engaged in a life or death shootout
08:27the damaged truck now slows to a stop in the middle of the road troopers quickly
08:36exit their vehicles and take cover behind Norris's cruiser then as the truck begins to roll forward
08:47the troopers open fire just fired when the shooting stops troopers address the passenger in the truck

10:17An autopsy later concluded that Grimes' death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot.
10:22In addition to his gun, troopers found multiple magazines on the suspect and under the vehicle's tailgate.
10:29They also found 2.6 kilos of methamphetamine, 257 grams of fentanyl powder, and 111 grams of fentanyl pills.
10:39Perry, Grimes' girlfriend, was unharmed during the incident, but was found to be in possession of a pistol.
10:46She was arrested and charged with misconduct involving weapons.
10:49Perry pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
10:53No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident.
10:57Next, we're in Erie County, Ohio, where state police are in pursuit of a suspect who they say just assaulted a trooper and is now driving recklessly.
11:09Earlier, the trooper pulled over this SUV for driving over 100 miles an hour in a 70 zone.
11:17And when he smelled marijuana and suspected the driver's ID was fake, he called it in and requested backup.

11:28When he asked the driver to step out of his vehicle, he complied and the trooper patted him down.
11:34But when he asked him to sit in the backseat of his cruiser, the driver refused, and things got physical.
11:48The suspect managed to make it back into his SUV, throw it in reverse, and slam into the trooper's cruiser before taking off.

13:50the suspect 45 year old michael andrickson was charged with felonious assault failure to
14:20comply with the order or signal of a police officer vandalism identity fraud and other
14:26charges andrickson pled guilty to the first three charges and the rest were dropped he was
14:32sentenced to a minimum of four years 11 months and a maximum of five years 11 months in prison
14:37with credit for 454 days served andrickson will be eligible for parole after serving two years of his
14:46sentence next we're in wisconsin rapids wisconsin where local pd were in pursuit of a suspect who
14:56they say just pulled a gun on another driver during a road rage incident earlier dispatch received a
15:04call from the alleged victim who told officers that he was still following the suspect and provided his

16:19now back in a residential neighborhood the fugitive's car starts having issues
