00:00You're nominated tonight. Who are you excited to see here at the iHeartRadio Music Award?
00:04Oh my gosh, first of all, everybody. I hear Mariah Carey's being honored tonight,
00:08so I'm literally so excited to be in the same building as the Queen.
00:12Lady Gaga, I mean, so many amazing people. I'm just so grateful to be here,
00:16surrounded by this talent, this creativity, and I'm getting starstruck a little bit.
00:22Mariah is receiving the Icon Award. What do you think makes her so iconic?
00:26I mean, do I really have to explain it? Look it up. I mean, she has so much to her name.
00:33She has changed so many dynamics with her voice. I mean, she's truly impactful not only for
00:38representation, but also for the vocal advancements that she has brought to this culture, so I love it.
00:46Now, coming up, you have the Descendants Tour, right? How are you preparing and what are you
00:50excited for fans to see? Oh my gosh, well, I'm really excited to meet all the fans,
00:54like being able to go cross-country and meeting everyone that's supported us for so long.
00:58It's truly an honor. I'm really excited because I get to write an original song for the tour,
01:04so I can't wait for people to hear that. And there's a lot of cool songs that we're doing
01:08from the past Descendants and from ours, so I can't wait for people to see what we bring
01:12to the table. I mean, such an honor. Descendants, I watched it growing up, so being a part of it is
01:17truly like full circle, and I'm such a fan of everyone that's been a part of it, including just the
01:22people now, the people that, it's just amazing. Such an honor. So that song will be original music
01:28for you? Yeah, yeah, I might write it or whatever, so hopefully it's good because I'm about to write
01:34it now, so yeah. I bet it's going to be great. Can we expect more new music from you? Most definitely,
01:40definitely a little bit more, dare I say, mature for, you know, me. I'm, you know, I'm a big girl,
01:48and I love it, and I want to be true to myself, sharing that vulnerability side of myself, and
01:54tell my real life experience, so it won't be as censored, you know, as I usually be. It might be
01:59a little, you know, crazy, so keep going. Don't hurt me, okay? We're excited to hear it, and what else
02:06do you have coming up that you're excited about? I have a couple new projects coming up. I'm still
02:10working with Pantene, so we got some new products coming out for them too, and, you know, maybe some
02:16shows, I don't know, maybe a movie, I don't know, so yeah. You're booked and busy. Thank you. Since
02:23this is the iHeartRadio Music Awards, who's an artist that you listened to on the radio growing
02:27up that made you want to sing? Oh my gosh, Beyonce, yeah, and Janelle Monae, and Erykah Badu. I mean,
02:37all of them have really just shaped who I am today, so, oh, and Jill Scott, so yeah, all of them really
02:42put a real big stamp on who I am as a human being, and how I walk, and how I talk, and
02:47how I sing, so yeah. I'm asking people on the red carpet today about, you know, last summer
02:53was brat summer. What kind of vibes are we manifesting for this summer? Healing. Healing
03:01summer. It's been rough. Healing. We need a healing summer. We need a healing summer. We need
03:08some, like, chakras. We need some manifestation. We need some, like, water with some cucumbers
03:12and lemon. Yeah. Balling on a budget, though, so hopefully I get that spa day, you know, reasonably.
03:19You need it because you're so busy. Yeah. Yes, please.
