Jordin Sparks chats with THR at the 2025 BET Awards about her upcoming projects, including a movie, a podcast, and new music. Plus, she reveals what she is looking forward to most tonight at the BET Awards.

00:02I have a lot of different things.

00:03I think there's, not I think, there's a Christmas movie coming this next season.

00:08I love doing those.

00:09So there's a Christmas movie coming with Roku, actually.

00:13And then I have a podcast that I'm starting called What's Your Spark?

00:16It's in the early stages.

00:18We've got like the, I got my first episode down, looking for guests.

00:22But it's called What's Your Spark because I want to find out what drives people.

00:25It may be what we know people for,

00:27or it may be something that they really haven't shared with the world yet,

00:30but I want to know.

00:31So it's going to be authors.

00:32It's going to be athletes, artists, chefs, spiritual guides.

00:35I love talking to people.

00:36I love stories.

00:38So I'm really excited to dive in.

00:44And then music.

00:45I've been working on music.

00:46I have some songs I want to release for the summer, but I can't pick.

00:49I have a list, and I just need to bite the bullet and choose.

00:52And then I have some music that's coming out this fall,

00:55some collaborations that I've done that I'm really excited about.

00:58So, yeah, just, I'm grateful to still be here.

01:18And I'm like, where am I going to go?

01:20But maybe I'll just put a couple of them out at the same time.

01:25Speaking of summer, we've also been asking,

01:27what's the summer blockbuster that you can't wait to see?

01:31Lilo and Stitch got me.

01:37sometimes they go a little left or they change a lot.

01:39But they really stayed true.

01:41The original story and the people that they cast were perfect.

01:44I also am really looking forward to seeing How to Train Your Dragon.

03:24I have sang Kirk Franklin's song since I was teeny tiny.

03:28And I think he's such a great person.

03:30He's so fun.

03:31And I love the way that he, like, opens doors for everybody coming up.
