Kylie Cantrall chats with THR at the 2025 Grammys red carpet and reveals who she thinks should win Album of the Year. Plus, she dishes on making new music, touring with her 'Descendants: The Rise of Red' castmates and more.

00:04I know you're a musician, a music fan.

00:06Who's your pick for Album of the Year?

00:08I have to go with short and sweet, Sabrina.

00:11No skips.

00:13I love that.

00:14And so many big performances tonight, like Sabrina, Chappell.

00:17Who are you most excited to see perform?

00:19Ooh, I'm excited for Charlie and, of course, Sabrina.

00:24I think what I love about her is that there's always something different with each performance,

00:28and she just knows how to put on a good show.

00:31As a dancer, I'm going to put you on the spot.

00:34Can you show me any dance moves you might be busting out during these performances in the crowd?

00:38Girl, let me think.

00:40I don't know.

00:40I feel just like a little side to side.

00:43You can never go wrong.

00:45And I feel like in these heels, I'm a little limited with what I can do.

00:49But I'll hit that one for sure.

00:51I've been seeing clips of your music video for If I Were a Boy for a Day.

00:55I mean, and your moves in that are amazing.

00:57So talk to me about that song and just the new music you have coming out.

01:00Oh, my gosh.

01:01Well, I think that's like the perfect little sneak peek to what fans can expect from my debut EP.

01:07And, you know, I'm super inspired by the 90s, 2000s, and I just wanted to bring that energy to life

01:14and kind of introduce that to the girlies in 2025.

01:18So many of the nominees tonight, like Chappell, Sabrina, Charlie,

01:22really dominated the cultural conversation last year online.

01:25Who were you listening to last year?

01:28Ooh, I mean, a lot of Sabrina.

01:31This year, it's been a lot of Dochi.

01:33I'm so proud of her as well and so excited for her.

01:36I know she's nominated for Best New Artist.

01:38But it's just an incredible time to be a female in music.

01:42And there's so many role models to look up to who are just killing it.

01:46Now, last year, it was Brat Summer.

01:48Then we had Jameer Fall.

01:50I'm asking you because I feel like you're going to help me out with this.

01:52What's the vibe for spring 2025?

01:54What are we feeling?

01:55I feel like it's like classy springtime.

01:59Like, I don't know.

02:00Maybe we got to pull back a little bit.

02:03Yeah, I don't know.

02:04I mean, the vibes could change.

02:06I feel like we're back in our classy vibe, though.

02:09For you, you're getting ready to head out on tour, right?

02:12With the Descendants cast.

02:13Yes, I'm so excited.

02:14My first tour.

02:16We're actually going to be playing Crypto here in L.A. in the summer.

02:20We're also, like, Madison Square Garden, which is, like, unreal.

02:24But I'm so ready.

02:25I feel like this is the project of a lifetime that I've been, like, preparing my whole life for.

02:30So it feels so exciting, and I'm so grateful.

02:32Well, we can't wait to see that and hear your new music, because I feel like you being here tonight at the Grammys is, like, manifesting.

02:42100%.

02:44I'm soaking it all in, and I feel very inspired.
