00:00On September 17th, 2023, Lake County deputies in Florida got behind a stolen Toyota Corolla.

00:05The felony stop wouldn't go as planned, and Deputy Corey Labreck, along with his K-9 Murphy,

00:10would take the lead in the moments ahead.

01:20At this point, officers back off. Eagle One, Lake County's helicopter, has the suspect in view from above.

08:43The suspect, 26-year-old Henry Lee Gamble Coleman,

08:46was taken into custody after a K-9 apprehension.

08:49He was charged with grand theft auto, aggravated battery on law enforcement, and fleeing to elude.

08:54His bond was set at $16,000.

08:56While records don't show a sentencing for this incident,

08:58he was booked again in May 2024 on charges including resisting without violence,

09:03possession of a controlled substance, and sexual battery.

09:05All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

09:46Now he jumped out of that car like he had one last genius move left in him,

09:49but that move lasted about 10 seconds.

09:51Because the canine didn't hesitate.

09:52That dog locked onto him the way a well-trained partner does.

09:54No confusion, no doubt, just purpose.

09:56And watching this guy go from I got this to I'm done is one of the reasons cops do this job.

10:00The way these criminals are wired is truly something to be studied

10:02because they'll risk a car, a dog bite, and their own freedom

10:05long before they'll risk being honest about the life that got them here.
