La Salle forces sudden death vs NU for Finals slot
De La Salle topped twice-to-beat National University, 87-77, at the Araneta Coliseum on Dec. 3 , 2025 to force a sudden-death Game Two in their UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball Final Four pairing. Mike Phillips pumped 12 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocks to lead the fourth seed Green Archers past the top seed Bulldogs. Jacob Cortez and EJ Gollena logged 13 and 11 points, respectively, for La Salle which tries to dispatch NU on Saturday. Jake Figueroa racked up 20 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists to pace the Bulldogs.

00:16Both, congratulations on his weekly. I'm sure you're glad you're full-strength now with Ian Baclac, Bac, and Mason, so how was it good that you're still alive for our third trip to the finals?
00:29Yeah, we're extremely grateful for the lesson being here. Again, we just tried to prolong the series. We only had Kian Baclac last week in practice, so these guys just decided to have more practices together with this lineup.
00:50But, again, we're up against the number one team, so we're always going to be, you know, battling out with him. But, again, grateful and blessed to play one or two.
01:00Thank you to J.C. 9 points for about two assists and eight clubs. I'm sure you're happy na sumukong kayo kayo. So, ano ma, sarang mo na, you have another chance to make it to the finals, J.C.
