UAAP: FEU downs La Salle behind Mongcopa’s game winning basket  Kirby Mongcopa scored the go-ahead bucket as Far Eastern University nipped De La Salle University, 84-83, in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum Sunday, November 16.  Mongcopa delivered the winner with 26.2 seconds left off Janrey Pasaol assist as the Tamaraws' defense held on for the rest of the way to seal the win.  FEU improved to 5-7 for sixth place to stay in contention for a Final Four berth while La Salle dropped to 6-5 in fourth.  Mongcopa finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assits to pace the Tamaraws. 00:00I first want to say that we are grateful to just be at this stage and be able to be in this place.

00:07So we're really grateful and thank you for God for putting us in this situation.

00:11But we also want to say, you know, we know we're a salsa championship team.

00:15And for us, as I love the house today, I kept saying to myself,

00:19we have to be one of the big teams in this tournament in order for us to finally to arrive.

00:27With a sophomore, a sophomore, and a freshman, we have to eventually have a certain level, a maturity level,

00:34where we can win one of these games with as close.

00:37And if we can, we feel like the sky's the limit for this team.

00:43And so I'm so happy with these guys because we knew they were going to make a run in the second half.

00:48We knew they were going to come out a little more impressive.

00:51But we practiced really hard on Friday.

00:54Maybe those are our fans on my street feeling.

01:05My cousin back at home, Anthony Fuller-Jane, told me today, like, he was like, I was like,

01:18So being on that stage already, you already won.

01:21So I'm grateful for my cousin, even those words we listened to the other day, this morning.

01:31And Chandra was 100% the first half of the semester when he finished with.
