03:56The biblical prophet Daniel clearly predicted that just prior to the end of the world, we'd witness a dramatic increase in knowledge.
04:05Has it happened?
04:06Consider, for instance, how dramatically modes of transportation have changed in recent times.
04:13For 60 centuries, man could travel no faster than the quickest horse.
04:19Now voyages that once required months are achieved in minutes.
04:22In one generation, the computer revolution has brought about mind-boggling changes that our ancestors could never have even imagined.
04:31But an even more accurate interpretation of this verse is that knowledge concerning the prophetic books would increase.
04:40And as predicted, this has happened too.
04:42But the writings of Daniel are not the only ones in the Bible that speak of last-day events.
04:50What other knowledge could be hidden within the ancient texts of Scripture?
04:53And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.
05:00See that you are not troubled.
05:02For all these things must come to pass.
05:05But the end is not yet.
05:07And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
05:12All these are the beginning of sorrows.
05:17One can quickly look around the globe and see that both political and natural forces have made the modern world an increasingly dangerous place to live.

05:28Within the last hundred years, the world has had to endure two world wars and numerous other major conflicts,
05:36not to mention the rise of international terrorism.
05:38Add to this the marked increase in deadly natural disasters, including earthquakes, fires, floods, tornadoes, killer storms, and bizarre weather,
05:52all continuing to wreak havoc on planet Earth.
05:57Amazingly, the Apostle John predicted that another sign of the last days would be man's ability to destroy the planet.
06:04In Revelation 11, verse 18, he said,
06:07The time would come when God would destroy those who destroy the Earth.
06:13It's clear that this prophecy has been vividly fulfilled.
06:17For centuries, man could do little more than just shoot flaming arrows or lob cannonballs at his enemy.
06:23But now we possess devastating weapons that can quickly render life on this planet extinct.
06:30In fact, Jesus even predicted that if his coming were postponed, no flesh would survive.
06:36Christ warned that we would have to face all these dangers, but they would only be the beginning of the end.
06:46Could it be that there's something mankind does to trigger Earth's final events?
06:51But know this, that in the last days, perilous times will come.
06:57For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good.
07:18Anyone who has lived through the past several decades cannot deny the steady and frightening moral freefall of modern society.
07:29Each generation continually pushes the envelope of acceptable behavior.
07:33As a result, each succeeding generation operates under a lower moral standard than the one before.
07:41And unfortunately, there appears to be no end to this shameful trend.
07:45In Noah's day, chronic moral decay led to global destruction from a flood.
07:51In Lot's time, the perverted depravity of Sodom and Gomorrah led to the annihilation of these cities by fire from heaven.
07:58As it was also in the days of Lot.
08:03They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built.
08:08But on the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
08:17Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
08:21And so in our day, could it be that rampant immorality and perversion will once again call down judgments from heaven?
08:31Along with society's moral decline, the Bible also warns that in the last days there will be a dramatic rise in spiritualism and the occult.
08:40Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times, some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.
08:54The practice of communicating with the dead, long forbidden by the scriptures, is fast becoming acceptable even in modern churches.
09:04Television programs and movies featuring witchcraft in the occult themes have become extremely popular.
09:10Especially among the young people.
09:13In spite of all this rampant spiritualism and immorality, the Bible teaches that where sin abounds, grace abounds even more.
09:21And so one exciting bright spot of the last days is Jesus promised that just before his return, the gospel would go to all the world.
09:30And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
09:41The once seemingly insurmountable task of communicating the gospel to the four corners of the earth is fast becoming a reality.
09:51Through missionaries, books, tapes, satellite broadcasts, and the internet, the gospel work is fast accelerating around the world.
10:00The message of salvation has never had wider distribution than today.
10:04The Bible reveals that we are obviously living in earth's final days.
10:11The increase in knowledge, global instability, moral decline, and the explosive interest in the occult all testify that the end is near.
10:20The final signs are fast being fulfilled.
10:23But there's more.
10:24However, the Bible also warns that it is these opposing forces of good and evil that will ultimately bring the world to the battle of Armageddon.
10:34At some point soon, some unknown global crisis will plunge the entire planet into the most terrifying events the world has ever seen.
10:44For then there will be great tribulations such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
10:57What catastrophe will trigger this final crisis, and when will it happen?
11:02Could it be some devastating act of terrorism?
11:05Some international economic crash?
11:08Maybe even an earthquake, asteroid, or some other cataclysmic event?
11:12Perhaps it's some chemical calamity, or deadly biological plague?
11:18Maybe even a combination of these disasters.
11:22But while the Bible doesn't reveal the exact critical event, it does reveal the dramatic scenes that will follow.
11:29Coming up in our next section, you'll learn more about these astounding final events, shocking events, that even most Christians are unprepared to meet.
11:42As the great tribulation begins, world leaders struggle to deal with the mounting calamities.
12:01Meanwhile, those Christians who are true to God experience a wonderful surge of power from the Holy Spirit.
12:07After these things, I saw another angel coming down from heaven, and the earth was illuminated with his glory.
12:16This great power that illuminates God's people is the Holy Spirit.
12:23With a holy boldness, they witness for God, pleading for the churches to reform and calling the lost to Christ.
12:30They stand firmly on the word of God, and exhort all to repent of their sins and obey God's commandments.
12:38An atmosphere of revival moves across the world, and the Holy Spirit compels ministers and church members alike to work earnestly for the salvation of souls.
12:47As the work of the Holy Spirit becomes more pronounced, occult manifestations also intensify.
12:55Deceptive demons appear to many, masquerading as loved ones who have passed away, or as biblical saints of old.
13:03They speak words of peace and hope, while presenting doctrines containing dangerous and subtle errors.
13:09Of them, the Bible warns,
13:11For they are the spirits of devils working miracles.
13:15As you can imagine, these supernatural manifestations hold great influence with the people, and few are willing to speak against them.
13:25Up to this point, families and churches have been ineffective in stemming the growing tide of global wickedness.
13:32In the midst of this political, moral, and environmental upheaval, people desperately seek an effective way to stem the growing tide of universal immorality.
13:42Religious and political leaders urged by suffering constituents call for stronger legal measures to restore godly principles and peace to the land.
13:52As a result of this misguided pressure, the government passes laws that directly conflict with the law of God.
14:01But this is not the first time in history something like this has happened.
14:08You might recall the familiar story in Daniel chapter 3, when the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, commanded all in his realm to bow down and worship the enormous golden image he had forged.
14:19However, three young Hebrews knew this command was a direct contradiction to the second commandment regarding idolatry.
14:28Determined to remain true to God, they refused to bow down to the statue.
14:33The king was infuriated and ordered them cast into a fiery furnace, but God miraculously intervened and saved their lives.
14:41And then there's the story of Daniel in the lion's den.
14:46You'll recall the king of Persia issued a law that no one should worship any god but himself for 30 days.
14:53But Daniel knew that to obey this law would mean that he had to violate God's first commandment.
14:59So Daniel bravely continued his habit of daily praying openly to God, even though it put his life at risk.
15:05Daniel's enemies soon reported this violation to the king, who reluctantly had his trusted servant thrown into the lion's den.
15:14But once again, God's power was displayed as he miraculously spared Daniel's life.
15:20Likewise, in the last days, Revelation predicts that an evil power will compel the governments of the world to enact laws regarding how people should worship God.
15:31These laws will outwardly appear to promote morality, but in reality, they prepare the world to embrace the mark of the beast and the Antichrist.
15:41For false Christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
15:53During this time of mounting crisis, when the world is desperately seeking relief and looking for global stability, help appears in a most startling form.
16:04In various locations around the world, the shout is heard, Jesus has come, Jesus has returned.
16:11A radiant, charismatic being appears claiming to be the son of God.
16:16An army of news agencies flock to see the supernatural entity perform miracles.
16:22They hear him repeat many of the same words Jesus spoke in the scriptures.
16:26This event is beamed to the world via satellite, and millions mistakenly believe that his appearance on television has fulfilled the scripture, every eye will see him.
16:36Many religions are anxiously expecting a coming Savior, and this dazzling being seems to be the answer to their prayers.
16:47But the Bible is warned in 2 Corinthians that Satan can even transform himself into an angel of light.
16:53Sadly, it's not Jesus the people welcome with open arms, but Satan masquerading as the Son of God.
17:03By doing this, the devil is able to unite the people of the world and reinforce his counterfeit system of worship.
17:11And so, the devil perpetrates the greatest deception ever carried out on the human race.
17:16Satan's deceptions prove to be a powerful, motivating force in the world.
17:37Most spiritual leaders accept the great imposter, as well as the false system of worship he promotes.
17:42As global calamities intensify, church leaders believe no time can be lost in compelling the world to adhere to the doctrines of this counterfeit Messiah.
17:55Here is the patience of the saints.
17:58Here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
18:05Not everyone is deceived.
18:07A few realize the Bible has warned of this amazing deception, and they know the goal of this false Messiah is to lead people away from the commandments of God.
18:18But this isn't the first time that Satan has appeared as an angel of light.
18:22When Christ was tempted in the wilderness, Satan appeared to him disguised as a glorious messenger of God.
18:29But the devil revealed his true identity when he tempted Jesus to disobey God's word.
18:37And so, once again, using similar tactics, the devil tries to deceive the world into breaking God's law.
18:45No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.
18:56The world is being brought to a time of decision.
19:01The false Christ and the global strife are polarizing the world into two distinct groups.
19:07Those who follow the Bible, and those who follow the beast.
19:11Anxiety fills the hearts of people, and religion is the supreme topic on everyone's mind.
19:17In TV and radio interviews, and in court debates, God's true followers are brought before world leaders,
19:25where they give powerful and eloquent biblical reasons for their opposition to the false system of worship being urged on the masses.
19:33The commandments of God, and what constitutes true worship, are at the center of every discussion.
19:39Moved by the Holy Spirit, and the compelling biblical arguments of God's servants,
19:45thousands around the world turn from their lifeless churches,
19:49and take up their stand with the unpopular but true followers of Jesus.
19:53The question, should we obey God or man, popular tradition or scripture, polarizes the whole world into one of two groups.
20:04On one hand, are those who receive the seal of God, and on the other hand, are those who receive the mark of the beast.
20:11He who is unjust, let him be unjust still.
20:17He who is filthy, let him be filthy still.
20:21He who is righteous, let him be righteous still.
20:25He who is holy, let him be holy still.
20:31This text in Revelation foretells the next event,
20:34when every man, woman, child will make their final decision for or against Christ.
20:39On God's side, are those who faithfully stand on his word, in spite of intense opposition.
20:46On the other, are those who embrace the religious traditions of man.
20:52Just as the door on Noah's ark was sealed right before the flood,
20:55so the door of mercy is finally shut to the world,
20:59and God's grace is no longer available to the lost.
21:03The second coming of Christ is imminent.
21:05But first, the world is about to experience the most devastating series of plagues
21:10that have ever fallen on humanity.
21:13Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels,
21:20Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.
21:24So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth,
21:28and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men
21:31who had the mark of the beast,
21:33and those who worshipped his image.
21:35Hope of things getting better is crushed.
21:40As revelations, seven last plagues begin to fall on the world in rapid succession.
21:46These are the most awful scourges ever seen by man or ever will be.
21:51The first plague is an extremely painful and gruesome sore
21:55that breaks out and causes excruciating suffering for the lost.
21:59Six more devastating plagues quickly follow.
22:04The sea and rivers of water turn to blood.
22:07The sun is given power to scorch men with intense heat.
22:11As plague after plague falls,
22:14terror reigns on the panic-stricken peoples of the world.
22:18During this time, some of the Seif find shelter in desolate and remote locations
22:23where they are protected and provided for by God's angels.
22:27Others are thrown into lonely prisons.
22:31Although seemingly forgotten by man, they are not forgotten by God.
22:35God's faithful ones are shielded from the plagues
22:37in the same way the children of Israel were preserved
22:41during the plagues that fell on Egypt.
22:44Now the faithful go through a fearful time of soul-searching.
22:48Uppermost in their minds is the thought,
22:50are we right with God?
22:53Ultimately, they find peace of mind
22:56by trusting the promises of God.
23:00And the dragon was enraged with the woman,
23:04and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring
23:06who keep the commandments of God
23:09and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
23:14Persuaded by the false Christ,
23:16the miserable lost believe their only hope
23:19for relief from the devastating plagues
23:21is to eliminate those who oppose them.
23:24So the decision is made to search out
23:27and exterminate in one day
23:29the people of God who stubbornly hold to the scriptures.
23:32And so on the spiritual battlefield
23:36are those who follow the traditions of men
23:38and worship the beast
23:39arrayed against those who love Jesus
23:42and obey his commandments.
23:44This is the final battle of Armageddon.
23:47A wicked world has finally reached the limit
23:50of God's patience.
23:52And it is time for God to step in
23:54and rescue his faithful children.
24:15And at midnight a cry was heard.
24:18Behold, the bridegroom is coming.
24:20At the darkest hour,
24:24the long-awaited hope of the ages
24:26now becomes a reality.
24:28The commanding voice of God is heard saying,
24:31It is done.
24:35The thundering voice shakes the heavens.
24:39Then there's a mighty earthquake
24:40that signals the approach
24:42of a massive heavenly armada.
24:44The children of God so recently pale and haggard
24:48now stand encircled by a rainbow
24:51and radiant before their oppressors.
24:54Their faces shine,
24:56for they know their Redeemer
24:57and his vast army of angels
24:59are coming to take them home.
25:03Behold, he is coming with clouds,
25:06and every eye will see him,
25:08even they who pierced him.
25:10And all the tribes of the earth
25:12will mourn because of him.
25:16This is no secret rapture,
25:18as you may have heard.
25:19Every person on planet earth
25:21witnesses this wonderful event,
25:23and most are terrified by it.
25:26The wicked desperately flee
25:28to the rocks and caves,
25:30trying in vain to hide themselves
25:32from the approaching holy king.
25:34And as Jesus promised,
25:36the evil men who were prominent
25:38in his trial and crucifixion
25:39are raised from their graves
25:41to behold him coming
25:43in the clouds of glory.
25:47For the Lord himself
25:49will descend from heaven
25:50with a shout,
25:52with the voice of an archangel,
25:53and with the trumpet of God,
25:56and the dead in Christ
25:57will rise first.
26:01A loud trumpet is heard
26:03ringing through the heavens,
26:04and the mighty voice of the Savior
26:07calls to the sleeping saints
26:09of all ages, saying,
26:11Awake! Awake! Awake!
26:14Ye that sleep in the dust,
26:16and arise!
26:19Throughout the length of the earth,
26:21a great army of saints
26:23arise from their dusty beds.
26:25They now appear clothed
26:27with youthful, glorified,
26:28and immortal bodies,
26:30without a trace of disease
26:32or deformity.
26:32Then, those who have lived
26:35through the time of trouble
26:36are also transformed.
26:39In an instant,
26:40they are given new,
26:41beautiful, immortal bodies.
26:44The terrified wicked
26:45look on in anguish
26:46at the amazing sight.
26:50Then we who are alive
26:52and remain
26:53shall be caught up together
26:54with them in the clouds
26:56to meet the Lord in the air.
26:58And thus,
26:59we shall always be
27:00with the Lord.
27:03With the world
27:04convulsing below them,
27:06the redeemed of the earth
27:07take flight
27:08and rise above the destruction.
27:11They fly up
27:11to join their Savior
27:13among the clouds of angels.
27:16Sorrow, sin, and suffering
27:17are forever behind them.
27:20The veil separating them
27:22from their Lord
27:23has forever been removed,
27:25and they behold their God
27:27and His heavenly angels
27:28face to face.
27:31And at that day,
27:32the slain of the Lord
27:34shall be from one end
27:35of the earth
27:36even to the other end
27:37of the earth.
27:38They shall not be lamented
27:40or gathered
27:41or buried.
27:42They shall become refuse
27:44on the ground.
27:45For those left behind,
27:50chaos reigns
27:51on the planet.
27:52Amidst the hurricane
27:54of shrieking demons,
27:55the earth quakes,
27:57oceans boil,
27:59islands vanish,
28:01and the dark, angry clouds
28:04pummel the earth
28:05with gigantic hailstones.
28:07The wicked who managed
28:10to survive
28:11these catastrophes
28:12are soon destroyed
28:14by the brightness
28:14of the Lord's presence.
28:16Their bodies lay scattered
28:18across the face
28:19of the ravaged planet.
28:22For the first time
28:23since its creation,
28:25the earth is now
28:26completely devoid
28:27of all human life.
28:30Only Satan
28:31and his fallen angels
28:32are left to behold
28:33the results
28:34of their rebellion.
28:37Then I saw an angel
28:54coming down
28:55from heaven,
28:56having the key
28:57to the bottomless pit
28:58and a great chain
29:00in his hand.
29:01He laid hold of Satan
29:02and bound him
29:04for a thousand years.
29:07Surrounded by the world
29:09they ruin,
29:10Satan and his angels
29:11find themselves
29:12bound on earth
29:13for a thousand years.
29:15They are imprisoned
29:16on this dark,
29:17desolate,
29:18and abysmal planet.
29:20Alone with his demons,
29:22Satan must simply wait
29:23and ponder
29:24his future punishment.
29:26On every side
29:27he beholds
29:28mangled cities,
29:30scorched forests,
29:31and dry bones,
29:32all the terrible results
29:34of his war
29:35against heaven.
29:36Bound, as it were,
29:38in one vast bottomless pit
29:40with no one
29:41to tempt or manipulate,
29:42he is absolutely miserable.
29:48And I saw thrones,
29:50and they sat on them,
29:51and judgment
29:52was committed to them,
29:54and they lived
29:55and reigned
29:55with Christ
29:56for a thousand years.
29:58While Satan is left
30:02to contemplate his fate,
30:04the redeemed enjoy
30:05the unspeakable glories
30:06of heaven.
30:08They each meet
30:09their guardian angels
30:10who answer
30:11their many questions
30:12regarding their lives
30:13on earth.
30:15Then God,
30:16in an act
30:16of ultimate disclosure,
30:18invites them
30:19to participate
30:19as judges,
30:21opening before them
30:22all the records
30:23of the lost.
30:24The redeemed
30:25now have the opportunity
30:27to see for themselves
30:28why certain people
30:29they expected
30:30to see in heaven
30:31are not there.
30:33The hidden thoughts
30:34of the lost
30:35are now vividly exposed,
30:37and the veil
30:38is pulled aside,
30:39revealing spiritual battles
30:40that raged
30:41for every soul.
30:43Even the actions
30:44and motives
30:45of fallen angels
30:46are clearly seen.
30:47The open and transparent
30:51character of God
30:52in this matter
30:53is remarkable.
30:55As Paul foretold
30:56in 1 Corinthians 6.2,
30:58the saved participate
30:59in the judgment
31:00of the lost.
31:02Before a single sinner
31:04receives his final punishment,
31:06his record is carefully
31:07reviewed by fellow humans
31:09who know and understand
31:10the struggles
31:11of life on earth.
31:13All the words
31:14and deeds
31:14of the wicked
31:15are waiting
31:16against the word of God.
31:18The justice
31:18of their sentence
31:19is affirmed
31:20and the degree
31:21of their punishment
31:22determined.
31:23Finally,
31:24at the end
31:25of the thousand years,
31:27Jesus and the redeemed
31:28prepare to return
31:29to earth.
31:31The time has come
31:33for Satan,
31:34his angels,
31:35and the lost
31:35to face
31:36the ultimate consequences
31:38of their actions.
31:40Soon,
31:40the meek
31:41will inherit the earth,
31:42but God must first
31:44execute the final phase
31:46of his judgment
31:46and purge
31:48the universe
31:49of sin.
31:49Then I, John,
32:09saw the holy city,
32:11New Jerusalem,
32:13coming down out of heaven
32:14from God,
32:16prepared as a bride
32:17adorned for her husband.
32:19After this thousand-year
32:23Sabbath in heaven,
32:24Christ and the redeemed
32:25with the new Jerusalem
32:26return to the earth.
32:30As the city draws near
32:32to the desolate planet,
32:34Jesus commands
32:35the wicked dead
32:36to rise
32:36from their dusty graves.
32:38At his word,
32:40the unsaved
32:41from every time
32:42and place
32:42now stand
32:44before God.
32:44The lost
32:46are resurrected
32:47with the same
32:48mortal bodies
32:49they possessed
32:49before their death.
32:52As Jesus descends,
32:54his feet touch
32:55the Mount of Olives.
32:56A tremendous earthquake
32:58splits the mount
32:59and transforms it
33:00into a great plain.
33:03Then the new Jerusalem,
33:05the massive city of God,
33:07descends from the heavens
33:08and its foundation
33:10comes to rest
33:11on the plain
33:11Jesus prepared for it.
33:17Now,
33:18when the thousand years
33:19have expired,
33:20Satan will be released
33:22from his prison
33:22and will go out
33:24to deceive the nations,
33:25to gather them together
33:27to battle.
33:31Amazingly,
33:32Satan manages
33:33to deceive his followers
33:34one last time
33:35and he rallies them
33:37to capture
33:37the heavenly city
33:38by force.
33:40Generals and military men
33:42of all ages
33:43now apply
33:44their combined skill
33:45to prepare
33:46for what is expected
33:47to be
33:47an epic battle.
33:50By this very act,
33:52the lost reveal
33:53that their hearts
33:53are unchanged.
33:56If possible,
33:58they would tear God
33:59from his throne
33:59and seize the holy city
34:01by force.
34:02little do they realize
34:05that their feudal war
34:06is lost
34:07before it even begins.
34:09Judgment day
34:10has come.
34:12And I saw the dead,
34:15small and great,
34:17standing before God,
34:19and books were opened,
34:21and the dead were judged
34:22according to their works.
34:26Suddenly,
34:27high above the city,
34:29the Lord appears
34:30on his glorious throne.
34:32all the feeble war plans
34:34of the wicked
34:34are immediately arrested.
34:37As they gaze up
34:38into the face of God,
34:40the lost are made
34:41painfully aware
34:42of every sin
34:43they have ever committed.
34:45They recall every time
34:46they silence
34:47their conscience,
34:48every time
34:50they turn from
34:50the pleadings
34:51of the Holy Spirit.
34:53Some had gone
34:54to the grave
34:55believing
34:55they had successfully
34:57hidden their sins
34:58of murder,
34:59crime,
34:59and vice
35:00from all.
35:01With shame,
35:02they experience
35:03firsthand
35:04the words of Jesus
35:05found in Luke 12,
35:07for there is nothing
35:08covered
35:09that will not be revealed,
35:11nor hidden
35:11that will not be known.
35:14As a vivid panorama
35:16of their lives
35:17play before them,
35:18each lost soul
35:19understands completely
35:21that they have
35:22by their own choice
35:23rejected salvation.
35:28Tragically,
35:29the peace
35:30and happiness
35:30of those inside
35:31the city
35:32will never be theirs.
35:34The feelings
35:34of hopeless despair
35:36that sweep over them
35:37is beyond words.
35:39The rebellious
35:41can't deny
35:42God's justice
35:43in declaring them guilty.
35:45With one voice
35:46they cry out,
35:47Just and true
35:48are thy ways,
35:49thou king of saints.
35:50and falling prostrate,
35:52they worship
35:53the prince of life.
35:58They went up
35:59on the breadth
35:59of the earth
36:00and surrounded
36:01the camp
36:01of the saints
36:02and the beloved city,
36:04and fire came down
36:05from God
36:06out of heaven
36:07and devoured them.
36:10Finally,
36:11the time has come
36:12for the lost
36:13to face
36:13the irreversible
36:14consequences
36:15of their actions.
36:16without warning,
36:18fire and brimstone
36:20fall from the heavens.
36:22The earth breaks up
36:23and fire explodes
36:25from the molten
36:25caverns beneath.
36:27And as the inferno
36:29engulfs the wicked,
36:31the righteous
36:31remain safe
36:32and secure
36:33within the gates
36:34of the new Jerusalem.
36:35every sinner
36:38is punished
36:38according to what
36:39they've done.
36:40Those with few sins
36:41are destroyed quickly,
36:43while those who are guilty
36:44of horrific evil
36:45against humanity
36:46suffer longer.
36:48And Satan,
36:49the instigator
36:49of all sin,
36:51is forced to suffer
36:52the most.
36:53For God,
36:54the punishment
36:54of the wicked
36:55is a painful act,
36:56but it's something
36:57that his justice demands.
37:00The penalty
37:01for sin
37:02is death.
37:03On the cross,
37:04Jesus suffered
37:05this final punishment
37:06on behalf of all
37:07who would embrace
37:08his sacrifice.
37:10But tragically,
37:12the lost
37:12have rejected
37:13this gift
37:13and must pay
37:15the awful price
37:16of sin
37:16for themselves.
37:21For behold,
37:22the day is coming,
37:24burning like an oven,
37:25and all the proud,
37:27yes,
37:27all who do wickedly
37:29will be scubbled.
37:30You shall trample
37:31the wicked,
37:32for they shall be ashes
37:34under the soles
37:35of your feet.
37:37And as the last embers
37:40of punishment
37:40grow cold,
37:42the citizens
37:42of the universe
37:43lift their voices
37:44and praise God
37:45that Satan's reign
37:47of terror
37:48is forever ended.
37:50With the peace
37:51of the cosmos
37:51eternally secure,
37:53God now directs
37:54his attention
37:55to the creation
37:56of a new heaven
37:57and a new earth.
37:58now I saw a new heaven
38:18and a new earth
38:19for the first heaven
38:21and the first earth
38:22had passed away.
38:24After the earth
38:27is purified by fire,
38:29the Lord then takes up
38:30his wondrous work
38:31of recreation.
38:33At the power
38:34of his word,
38:35the earth is restored
38:36into its former
38:37Edenic beauty.
38:39He speaks,
38:40and a carpet
38:41of rich,
38:42lush vegetation
38:43covers the planet.
38:45At his command,
38:47land and water
38:48again teem
38:49with vibrant life.
38:52Countless complex
38:53and magnificent creatures
38:54of every kind
38:55peacefully explore
38:57the new paradise.
38:59The invigorating atmosphere
39:01is pure and sweet.
39:03The earth becomes
39:04one grand showcase
39:05of creative brilliance.
39:07and God will wipe away
39:11every tear
39:12from their eyes.
39:14There shall be
39:15no more death,
39:16nor sorrow,
39:17nor crying.
39:19There shall be
39:19no more pain,
39:21for the former things
39:22have passed away.
39:26The security
39:27of the universe
39:28is complete.
39:30With the new Jerusalem
39:32as their capital,
39:33all created beings
39:35rejoice
39:35under the loving
39:36dominion of God.
39:38Those who have been
39:39rescued from
39:40eternal destruction
39:41share a special bond
39:43with their creator
39:43that no other
39:45heavenly beings
39:46can appreciate.
39:48Yet while sin and sinner
39:49have been forever destroyed,
39:51one trace
39:52of the great rebellion
39:53still remains.
39:55What happened
39:55to your hand?
39:56It is the scars
39:57on the hands,
39:59feet,
39:59and side of Jesus.
40:00As day after
40:03blissful day
40:04of eternity passes,
40:06all sad
40:07and painful memories
40:08dissipate
40:08in the glory
40:09of heaven's
40:10brilliant splendor.
40:12No longer tied
40:13to a limited lifespan,
40:16the immortal children
40:17of God
40:17are now free
40:18to reach
40:19their highest ambitions.
40:21The limitless
40:22pursuit of knowledge
40:23invigorates
40:24and stimulates
40:25the mind.
40:27No longer bound
40:28to earth,
40:29the redeemed
40:29and are free
40:30to explore
40:30the wonders
40:31of God's
40:32endless universe.
40:35Heaven is a place
40:36of perfect peace
40:37and harmony
40:37where love for God
40:39and others
40:39fills every heart.
40:42The Bible promises
40:43that this coming kingdom
40:45can be your
40:46eternal home.
40:48Jesus sacrificed
40:49himself on the cross
40:50to provide you
40:51forgiveness
40:52and victory from sin.
40:53More than anything else,
40:55Jesus wants you
40:56to live with him
40:57in this earth made new.
41:00And while he's
41:00desperate to save you,
41:02he cannot force
41:03this free gift upon you.
41:05You must choose
41:06to accept it yourself.
