00:00A Sunshine Coast success story.
00:05I couldn't be happier that we are in a very good place in the RV industry.
00:10From three staff in 2015 to more than 250 this year, Zone RV has become one of the country's largest RV manufacturers.
00:20Adding to the surprise of employees and customers when news broke, Zone RV entered administration yesterday.
00:28Their first act, letting go the majority of workers weeks out from Christmas.
00:33Customers left waiting and out of pocket tens of thousands of dollars for RVs they ordered and paid for.
00:40Having that happen to a business of that size in Coolum is obviously significant.
00:45It's also significant for the time of year that it's happening as well.
00:49The local council promising to help where it can.
00:52We are hopeful that there's a positive way forward for this business,
00:56which has really been a beacon of innovation for our region and for the country really.
01:01It's the latest in a series of caravan manufacturers to close down in recent years.
01:07Unfortunately the cost to operate is really impacting bottom lines
01:11and making the ability to do business almost a point where we can't operate anymore.
01:19Employees and customers hope there'll be a positive outcome from the administration process.
01:25Creditors are set to meet next week.
01:28Zone RV did not respond to ABC's questions.
01:31The company's social media page is no longer active.
