00:00We're going live to St. Lucia as results continue to come in and what seems to be a secure victory for the St. Lucia label party. We're going with our correspondent Belinda Los Santos that has all the information as we are hearing the celebrations taking place in the place where she is right now. Let's go live to her in St. Lucia.
00:30It's a definite victory for the Labour Party in St. Lucia. Prime Minister Filippio has been re-elected. Prime Minister in the sense that what you're seeing behind me is one of the celebrations and demonstrations at this moment.
00:47The official results are indicating that the SLP has won 10 of the constituencies. These are official and final results. There are 10 of the constituencies for the SLP.
01:17The official party, the ruling party of the Prime Minister at this moment has been re-elected to form government. Of course, the votes are still being counted. There are constituencies in which they are leading.
01:29So the projection is that we will have further constituencies declared red. But with the official results that we have at this moment, we can definitely say that this is a victory for the SLP.
01:42And that is why we see so much joy, so much celebration here in Castro's East. Let's recall Castro's East is the circumscription of the Prime Minister. It's where Filippio is the candidate.
01:57So, and it's one of the neighbourhoods that historically has voted for the party. And in this case, it is giving it not only the re-election, but a great, great celebration.
02:11What we're seeing right here, we can be extended into every other circumscription at this moment. Constituencies at this moment in St. Lucia, in different places.
02:22There are different gathering points. And the caravans and the cars are continuing to pass. Everybody and everything is dressed in red. This is a great victory for the SLP that was trying to re-validate, to renew its mandate.
02:40Let's recall once again that the Prime Minister decided to call these elections early with the task of winning the election once again.
02:50They were sure. They were confident. We were saying this throughout the day. And many people, both analysts, journalists, and also the people from the party, off the record, were saying that they were very confident
03:03that the achievements that the achievements that they had conquered would bring them a new victory. And we're seeing that this is the case.
03:12So, we repeat at this moment, the SLP, the St. Lucia Labour Party, has won the general elections for St. Lucia.
03:21Philippe Pierre will be re-elected Prime Minister for five more years.
03:27And this is what is happening. Official results to this moment include five constituencies that are going to the SLP that guarantees a majority that will vote that PM.
03:41We are talking about Babonu, for example, that was one of the closest in the last election and now one with an important advantage.
03:50Then we have Castries East, where we're here right now, Castries South, and St. La Riga and the East, which also was very close last election.
03:59So, we've seen different constituencies that had a minimum margin at past elections, but at this moment have won an important advantage for the SLP.
04:11This is what is giving the win. This is why the mood is red tonight in St. Lucia.
04:17And we will follow the celebrations, we will follow everything, but this is the official result.
04:22We've been waiting for this moment, official result, from very early in the morning, and we have it now.
04:28So, this is everything from St. Lucia, Luis. I go back to you.
04:33Information on the victory of the St. Lucia Labour Party, the re-election of Pierre as the Prime Minister of the Nation.
04:41And we're going to continue to inform our hearing from the South, everything that is happening in St. Lucia, as we continue to follow up,
04:46as we round up the 100% of the World Council, but as Belen was reporting, it's a done deal.
04:52The SLP has secured a victory in this general election.
