00:00Neil, an impressive 2-0 win against Brackley.

00:03Back-to-back wins in the league, nine unbeaten in the league as well.

00:06Must be sort of very pleased after that.

00:08Yeah, you know, we don't look too far forward, to be fair.

00:12You know, we were that scarred by how the season started

00:15that every day has been just trying to gradually be competitive

00:20in every game and every training session.

00:22And obviously for us, this was a bit of a test for the staff.

00:26We look forward to this game because, you know,

00:29obviously Brackley, what they did to us in the FA Cup.

00:32And, you know, I didn't think I needed to do a team talk.

00:34I think the lads sort of knew.

00:36And it was for us, it was, you know, can we see whether we have come far,

00:40whether the meeting we had, whether the connectivity we've gained since then

00:44has come together.

00:45And I thought right from the first 10 minutes of the game,

00:48I could see the will to win, the aggression in the running,

00:52the aggression in the play, the team spirit.

00:54And, you know, I thought we thoroughly deserved the win.

00:56So, yeah, did you feel like you sort of owed Brackley one after that

00:59and say you didn't really need to have that motivation?

01:01Well, it's not a case of owning one.

01:03It's a case of earlier in the season, I would have said Brackley were our nemesis.

01:08Really powerful team, really good at set pieces.

01:11And they're the sorts of teams that were rolling us over.

01:13You know, and I think from our point of view, from me as a staff,

01:16it's like, have we improved enough to cope with that?

01:19You know, we did it at Tamworth a few weeks back.

01:21We went there and we stood up to it and we've done it again today.

01:24So, delighted, delighted both forwards got on the score sheet

01:28because, you know, if you're going to get a run going together,

01:30the top end of the pitch needs to be at it.

01:32Delighted we kept a clean sheet and I thought we managed the game really well.

01:37So, you've been building this run now, nine unbeaten,

01:40and it's another good task today, really, isn't it, to keep building on it, really?

01:44Yeah, that's all we can do and we've got ten days now until our next game.

01:48So, we'll try and, obviously a tough one away at Carlyle,

01:51we'll try and get ourselves ready and see if we can keep it going,

01:53keep the confidence levels.

01:55We've got a few injuries back.

01:56So, yeah, it's good.

01:58It's another clean sheet.

01:59Two centre forwards have scored.

02:01You know, if you're on the right of Saturday at five o'clock, that's it.

02:04But, you know, from our point of view,

02:06we're just taking each game as it comes, trying to stay competitive.

02:09Yeah, a lot of sort of good things to tick off there, you know,

02:11clean sheet, as you say, and save both strikers on the score sheet

02:15and Oli with the first goals.

02:16Yeah, isn't that?

02:17Yeah, good goals.

02:18I think the thing is, you know, we said at half-time,

02:22Brackley don't need to do anything special to score, you know,

02:24and I don't mean that.

02:25It's not a detriment to them.

02:26I think they're so good at their set plays that all they need to do

02:30is get a set play, a goalkeeper's kick, a flick, pin you in,

02:34and all of a sudden it's one-all and you start panicking.

02:38So we had to manage that.

02:39We had to make sure that we kept trying to get the second goal

02:43and that was the message at half-time.

02:44You know, play like you're 1-0 down.

02:46Go and try and get the second.

02:47And the second goal, obviously, is a big deal

02:50because it just gives you that deep breath

02:52to know that you've given yourself a little gap.

02:54Yeah, the way they play with their strength at set pieces,

02:57that does mean that 10 men at 1-0,

02:59they're still always a chance and a threat, aren't they?

03:01Absolutely.

03:02And, you know, in both games we played against them,

03:04they scored from set plays and looked like scoring.

03:06And, yeah, we had to be on our mettle and we stood up to it.

03:10So really proud of the boys.

03:12And Josh, good composure from the spot again.

03:13He did it Tuesday night in the game and the shootout.

03:15Did it again today?

03:16Yeah, he's a good penalty taker.

03:18So is H.

03:18They're both very competent penalty takers.

03:20So I leave it to them to decide who's doing what.

03:23But, yeah, delighted that both score.

03:26You've got, you know, centre-forwards.

03:27You want your centre-forward scoring.

03:28And they've both scored.

03:30And then, obviously, Ash and Josh Rassoud come off the bench

03:32and they bring something different.

03:34That's a good all-round team performance.

03:36But Timmy Akinola, pretty impressive in there today.

03:39To be fair, I thought him and Jamie were excellent from the word go.

03:42You know, Jamie gets through.

03:44Timmy obviously catches the eye because of his pace

03:46and when he dribbles with the ball.

03:48But Jamie did so much of the nitty-gritty in there.

03:52He won so many seconds.

03:53He's a good marker.

03:54He's six foot two.

03:55And I thought he was excellent in there as well.

03:58So, listen, you need everyone to perform right from the goalie

04:00through to the front two.

04:01And I thought the attitude right from the first ten minutes

04:03was exceptional.

04:05As you say, a bit of a sort of wait now for the Carlisle game.

04:07Week on Wednesday, 11 days.

04:08So, obviously, you'll use that time to build up

04:10and prep for a tough test.

04:11Yeah, we've got to get the balance right of how often we have them in,

04:15burning them out and stuff like that.

04:16But we'll try and build up to the game.

04:18We always work back from the game.

04:20So, we'll have a breather, maybe an extra day off

04:23at the start of this week.

04:24And then we'll start building to the game.

04:26Matt Ward didn't make the bench today.

04:28Obviously, he played Tuesday.

04:29Just a slide.

04:29Yeah, he came off with an ankle.

04:31He rolled his ankle on Tuesday.

04:32Him and Josh Rasoud had a fitness test, really, yesterday

04:35to see whether they were fit enough to be in the squad.

04:38So, it helped make the decision on the team shape.

04:41And, you know, we didn't have any real wingers that were 100% fit.

04:44So, you know, we went big.

04:47We selected a big team, a powerful team,

04:48to try and cope with them, knowing that we had quality as well.

04:51And another good crowd today and three points and send them home happy.

04:55Yeah, that's what it's all about.

04:56They certainly were happy last week.

04:57And we've managed to back it up.

04:59So, we're delighted.
