00:01Neil, 1-0 defeat at home to Braintree after a sort of uncharacteristic slow start from your side tonight.

00:08Yeah, that was exactly what it was.

00:10You know, we lacked energy in our work at the top end of the pitch.

00:14We lacked cohesion at the back.

00:18And the more the game went on in the first half, the more strange decisions we made.

00:21I thought we started to play with anxiety, rightly so.

00:24The crowd weren't happy with what they were seeing, we wasn't.

00:27The more that happened, the more that we started to make strange decisions.

00:31You know, I think we put them in on goal two or three times.

00:34We weren't winning headers at the back.

00:36We weren't holding the ball up, up top.

00:38When you do that, it's very, very tough.

00:40Yeah, and obviously Will obviously had to make a few saves in that first half as well, didn't he?

00:44Yeah, it's hard to explain. We were uncharacteristically.

00:48I thought we played with anxiety as the game went on.

00:51We started slow and I've said to the boys in there,

00:54you know, you've lost this game because of the way you started.

00:56You find yourself 1-0 down, you're all over the shop.

00:58No one's playing with any composure, any quality.

01:01And we tried to change things around, different shapes, different systems

01:05to see if we could engineer something, but not enough.

01:09Obviously at half-time, you obviously wanted much more.

01:12And you made the double change with Aidan and Josh coming on.

01:14And there was an improvement and sort of half and puff,

01:17but just sort of not real clear-cut was there, wasn't it really?

01:20No, no.

01:21And again, it all stems from the start of the game.

01:23I thought we set our tone at the start and we never got going from there on.

01:27And disappointing because I don't know where it's come from.

01:29You know, we've lost one in 12 or whatever it is,

01:31and we haven't really had that in any of the games.

01:34But we need to correct our home form.

01:36It hasn't been good enough.

01:37And we need to start that on Saturday.

01:39I'd say it's uncharacteristic from your side.

01:42And I guess you wouldn't have really seen it coming,

01:44but obviously you will address it obviously, won't you?

01:47Well, you have to.

01:50There's no hiding place.

01:51Like I say, we've been in all over Christmas.

01:53And we haven't got, for all the efforts of being away from your family

01:57and being in and doing your work, we haven't got the points total.

02:01We should have beaten Eastleigh.

02:02We didn't.

02:03And today we was under par, probably very similar to Scumford.

02:07And we've got beaten.

02:08We made it very hard for ourselves because we didn't start the game properly.

02:11And obviously it will be full focus on getting that reaction,

02:13a quick turnaround on Saturday against Hartley Farm.

02:16Yeah, that's all we can do.

02:18I can only tell you the truth.

02:19I always try and be honest and truthful.

02:21You know, it's not shaped systems.

02:24You know, we changed three times systems during that game

02:27and we never got anything better from the team than we did from what we started.

02:32So it was personnel, quality, energy.

02:36I thought a little bit of anxiety and we have to change that.

02:39And we have to freshen our minds up and go again.

02:42Just reflecting on the year as a horse,

02:44how else you came in sort of this time last year when the club were in a lot of trouble

02:47and obviously stayed up.

02:49And this year sort of solidly in mid-table at the moment,

02:51just sort of reflections on it all.

02:53Yeah, I don't really like going too much into, you know, you don't look back too much.

02:59We had a job to do last season. We did it.

03:01We need to take the club forward.

03:03We're competitive, but, you know, we're not competitive enough and fluent enough for me at the moment.

03:09And we have to improve that.

03:12Yeah, I'll just keep working at that side of things and see whether we can make us, you know,

03:18get back to them unbeaten runs.

03:20Yeah.

03:21And you sort of set the levels and obviously it's sort of getting back to those really, isn't it?

03:24Yeah, absolutely.

03:25And again, you know, under part of day and we've got to sort our home form out, home form.

03:29You know, we've been excellent away from home, but at home for whatever reason.

03:33Last season we were strong. We didn't lose many this season.

03:37We just, for some reason, we haven't quite got our home form going

03:40and we've got a chance Saturday to turn that around.
