00:00The Jets, they won a thriller at a rain-soaked MetLife stadium.
00:04They grounded the Falcons 27-24 on a game-winning field goal by Nick Folk as time expired.
00:09Now look, we haven't had a chance to talk about how much Jets wins this season
00:12as gangrene won for the third time in 2025.
00:16So, joining me to talk all about it is a host for ESPN New York Radio.
00:20It's my guy, Ty Butler.
00:22Ty, what's going on?
00:23Good to see you dry.
00:24You weren't out there in the rain.
00:26How'd you enjoy your football Sunday so far?
00:28Listen, I don't like you taking shots at my team.
00:31Talking about, you know, it's November, the third three wins.
00:35We understand.
00:36These are facts.
00:37It's a rebuilding year.
00:39These are facts.
00:40Calm down.
00:41It's a rebuilding year.
00:43Calm down.
00:43But all jokes aside, I know we're going to talk about Aaron Glenn later on,
00:48but for all the Jet fans who want a tank, who want the number one overall pick,
00:55Tankadon now has them down to six.
00:57I think they only have a 5% chance to get that number one overall pick.
01:01When you have a head coach in year one of his tenure,
01:04and it feels like the wheels are coming off, wins are important.
01:09There is no way you get closer to building a culture for your football team
01:13that does not include having this locker room galvanized and this team fighting for wins.
01:18So it does feel good to, for the first time all year, come on your show and talk about and react to a team
01:25that I root for winning a football game.
01:28It's just like, man, I don't even know what to do with myself today.
01:31Hey, I didn't even know this was possible.
01:33I haven't talked to you all year after a win.
01:35I had no idea this was possible, and now here we are talking after a win.
01:39I was just out here, state effects.
01:41That was it.
01:42But Ty, I'm going to start here.
01:44We talk a lot of times about the offense.
01:45We will get to the offense in a second.
01:47But I'm going to start with the defense today because they played really well in the first half,
01:52not so much for most of the second half.
01:54However, they were able to stop the Falcons late and give the ball back to the offense
01:57before the game-winning field goal that we saw from Nick Falk.
02:00So do you believe that this Jets defense has improved 12 games into the season,
02:05where they're 3-9 now, as opposed to what we saw in earlier weeks,
02:09where you were telling me they couldn't tackle, they didn't look disciplined?
02:12Do you think this defense has actually improved?
02:15Well, listen, they still can't tackle.
02:17We saw on the Falcons' last touchdown an elusive play by Seals.
02:24He was able to get into the end zone because the Jets could not tackle.
02:28But what you just hit on is something I want to highlight.
02:32The fact that they were able to get a stop to get the offense back on the field
02:37that enabled them to march down and get the game-winning score,
02:42I don't think was something they were capable of earlier in the season.
02:46We saw it.
02:47You know, the Bucs game.
02:49Like, there were a bunch of times where you were looking at this defense saying,
02:52yo, just get one stop and see what your offense can do,
02:57and this team wasn't capable of it.
02:59So to answer your question, yes, they've improved.
03:03Bijan was awesome in this game.
03:06They had no answer for him.
03:08And quite frankly, a lot of teams in this league have no answer for Bijan.
03:12He's one of the best players in football.
03:14You could argue, like, him and Gibbs are the best running backs in the league.
03:18So it's hard to, like, crush the Jets for that.
03:22But as far as being able to...
