The Emmy-winning actress-singer made the comments to The Hollywood Reporter on Sunday following her performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the Super Bowl.

00:19Following her performance, Ralph revealed she was feeling a high of positivity.

00:24It's just so amazing that they chose me.
00:26She continued,
00:27And the way people have been coming back, they said,
00:30Girl, you made the pre-show look like it was trying to be halftime.
00:33They said,
00:33The costume, the wardrobe, the hair, the shoes, the makeup.
00:37I was just like, well, thank you. Fenty of it all. Hey.
00:40The 66-year-old entertainer performed the Black National Anthem on the same day it was first publicly performed 123 years ago,
00:48February 12, 1900.
00:50She said she was happy to make history at the Super Bowl, which took place during Black History Month.
00:54Ralph told THR,
00:55All I can do is thank God, that God would deliver me all these flowers at this point in my career.
