"Everything that a 30-year-old woman can do, I'm still doing it," the latest celebrity eliminated from the Fox singing competition tells The Hollywood Reporter.

00:07If you've been watching The Masked Singer, you know The Flower has been captivating the judges,
00:12with many convinced they could recognize her iconic voice.
00:15Well, on Wednesday's episode, The Flower was officially unmasked, and she turned out to be, spoiler alert,
00:20exactly who everyone thought, legendary singer Patti LaBelle.
00:30The godmother of Soul opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about her time on the Fox series,
00:36and why she decided to lend her voice to the show.
00:38LaBelle revealed,
00:39Every time my son would ask me about The Masked Singer, I was hesitant.
00:42I said, I'm not sure I could be in those costumes like that.
00:45And we kept going back and forth, and I finally said, okay, I'll do it.
00:49You know, I did Dancing with the Stars at 71, so I said to myself, I might as well do this at 75.
01:00She also opened up about the state of the music industry today, saying,
01:06I've been in it for how long? 60 years performing, and I see changes all the time.
01:10I never know if we're going to ever go back to when real music was real music.
01:15Because a lot of things today, they're very, if a song the title is Get It Now or something,
01:19you're going to hear Get It Now the whole record, no substance.
01:22So there's still some growth, and I hope that it goes back to substance in the songwriting.
01:27As for what's next for her, LaBelle told THR,
01:29recording, touring, and everything that a 30-year-old woman can do, I'm still doing it.
01:33I'm blessed, honey. That's what it is. I'm blessed.
