00:04:25And in my mind, even though I think my teeth are okay, discolored, it's a disgrace really.

00:04:30Um, but for the, based on the British cliche about teeth, I think I've been quite lucky.

00:04:35But what they feel like, they feel like sort of kitchen knives when I come out the dentist

00:04:39and they're clean, you know, behind you.

00:04:41Yeah.

00:04:41And you can feel your pressure tongue against the back of it.

00:04:43It's like, oh, that's nice and shut off.

00:04:44Yeah.

00:04:44And then within two weeks, you realize, God, is that how much just slop I consume?

00:04:48In terms of my food, not the pro wrestling.

00:04:50Um, because it has just already created like a soft play for my tongue in the back of my

00:04:57teeth.

00:04:57Um, yeah, we wanted to cover, we don't need to preview all of SmackDown.

00:05:01We're not going to guess who L.A. Knight is a mystery opponent is because, well, I know.

00:05:09Well, it was a four stage spoiler for me because you two inadvertently dropped two clues about

00:05:16something that I thought was unrelated to this.

00:05:18And then when Murray was absolutely castigating the state of this card at the desk this morning,

00:05:23which I vehemently disagreed with, by the way, he was reading the matches out because

00:05:28I was saying, I'm really excited for SmackDown.

00:05:29And then he read the matches out loud at me to try and insist that I explain how and why.

00:05:33He then read one match and I was like, what's he doing there?

00:05:36And he went, oh, sorry, I've spoiled it.

00:05:38And I was like, so I've been able to put your two and his two together and actually make

00:05:41four instead of five.

00:05:42But let's just say it's a force him.

00:05:45Hey, yeah, I mean, you've probably already seen it, but we're not going to talk about

00:05:49it just in case.

00:05:50And he's going to lose again.

00:05:51Yeah.

00:05:51As is.

00:05:53As is Rusev against Jey Uso one would assume.

00:05:55I don't know the actual result of that match, but I assume Jey's making it at least to the

00:05:59semis.

00:06:06You know, like sort of to screw him out of that and maybe like, like go for the, like

00:06:10Rusev works a body part and then like the vision screw Jey Uso and then after the match

00:06:14target that body part and he's going into War Games hurt.

00:06:17Yeah, I suppose that could make sense.

00:06:19And then.

00:06:20I mean, Gunther's making the final, whatever happens.

00:06:22So I suppose you could be like, oh, is it going to be Rusev in the final against Gunther?

00:06:25That'd be a hard hitting affair.

00:06:26Um, well, we'll briefly talk about the Women's War Game Advantage match when we get to the

00:06:33actual match itself.

00:06:35And they got, they've got it half right so far.

00:06:38Finished the job.

00:06:39And what we did say, actually I'll just mention it now as well.

00:06:42Um, I think it's less important in the Women's match than it was in the Men's only because

00:06:48there's a scenario that you can have where let's say Nia Jax starts the match for the

00:06:53heel team, but they're at the disadvantage, but she's in there against.

00:06:57AJ Lee and Alexa Bliss, which they're two incredibly talented wrestlers, but in terms of a size

00:07:03difference, she should be unaffected by the disadvantage there.

00:07:07And you can do that thing you do where, yes, she's a heel, but you kind of tacitly baby

00:07:14facing somebody and have Lash Legend constantly be able to offset the numerical disadvantage.

00:07:18She's like a new baby face arrives.

00:07:20Hey, we're winning again.

00:07:21Lash Legend smash boot in the face.

00:07:23And I'll, wow, Lash Legend's neutralized the disadvantage.

00:07:26She's class.

00:07:27You can cheer her one day.

00:07:28That sort of thing.

00:07:29Yeah.

00:07:29So she's in that spot that you can, you can use her for.

00:07:32But really, we're only here for the biggest match, arguably a Survivor Series weekend.

00:07:37And that is a traditional, we're all about tradition here at WhatCulture, a traditional five-on-five

00:07:44Survivor Series elimination match.

00:07:47Babyface team, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Phoenix, and the Motor City Machine Guns.

00:07:54Which one is it?

00:07:55That one.

00:07:55Versus the MFTs.

00:08:01I'm talking Solo Sokoa, JC Mateo, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Tala Tonga.

00:08:13Pitching a shutout?

00:08:14Yeah, probably just straight up squash ski.

00:08:17I don't want to knock that over.

00:08:22I can't wait for this.

00:08:23I cannot wait for this.

00:08:25I would normally just be like, oh, what's the point in watching SmackDown?

00:08:27It'll be like, I'll know who gets the advantage.

00:08:29And relatively predictable last time is now tournament matches.

00:08:34Out they'll come with a class entrance.

00:08:42And JC Mateo's there.

00:08:44Is Solo putting the face paint on for the first time?

00:08:45Oh, my God, I didn't even consider that.

00:08:55I think they'll win, the MFTs, our boys.

00:08:58And at this point, I feel like the boys of everybody that consumes the SmackDown coverage

00:09:01that we do here at Wackelson.

00:09:02Because I think what we've tried to do with the MFTs is when they were in, let's say,

00:09:07their doldrum era, we were trying to explain why, you know, there was value to Solo,

00:09:12at least.

00:09:13He kind of embraced the banter and that kind of changed the narrative.

00:09:15Remember the, like, it sounds archaic now, but the new bloodline.

00:09:19Yeah.

00:09:19And then he lost to Roman and it was very much like, that character is completely out

00:09:23of purpose.

00:09:24And then the first version of the MFTs proved that to be true.

00:09:28That character is completely out of purpose.

00:09:30But he never totally dropped the banter.

00:09:36And it was there for, like, the original version of the group was there kind of for Jacob Fatou

00:09:40to steamroll through.

00:09:41Jacob Fatou did steamroll through it.

00:09:43And then Solo sort of ended up with the United States title anyway.

00:09:48Yeah.

00:09:48And then put over Sami Zayn and we said, look, that's probably it for all of this.

00:09:54But we got there in the end, didn't we, gang?

00:09:56You know, Sami's the US champion.

00:09:58All the goodies have got their vengeance.

00:09:59Roman Reigns has long moved on.

00:10:01We were sort of fine there.

00:10:03And then these little rebuilding vignettes he did where he kind of puts them all back together.

00:10:06You're like, I don't mind that.

00:10:08I don't like the one by one by one by one.

00:10:10I don't mind that.

00:10:11They're giving him a proper go this time.

00:10:12And Solo has never kind of looked, he'd never looked sillier trying to be serious.

00:10:17And I was like, was that actually the missing ingredient all along?

00:10:20And now they've entered this, like, perfect space where they can simultaneously be the

00:10:27daftest group of bully arseholes and then actual serious go-in-heel concern.

00:10:33Because we enjoy the backstage segments a great deal.

00:10:37Solo Sokova's promo game is tremendous.

00:10:39And I would argue underrated.

00:10:40I agree.

00:10:41Honestly, in terms of his performance and his delivery method.

00:10:43But the single biggest thing, and I've hit this over the head so much so that our listeners

00:10:46and viewers, I apologize, will be bored by this take, is that a mid-card on SmackDown

00:10:52in dire, desperate, stricken need for direction and focus was given it in the form of the MFTs.

00:11:02They came into our life straight from above.

00:11:06Started being assholes and I fell in love.

00:11:11Because all of a sudden, Sami Zayn, yeah, top babyface can be slotted into any program, pretty

00:11:16much anywhere up and down the card.

00:11:17We're talking about this, like, fairly lightweight, but a lot of fun Survivor Series match and probably

00:11:20both fantasy booking to win the Royal Rumble.

00:11:22Yeah, I was going to say, Sami's the last one eliminated in this match.

00:11:24If that's where we were going.

00:11:25That's the super malleability of a Sami Zayn.

00:11:27But, like, we've talked at length about the kind of the fake tag division that is the SmackDown

00:11:31tag division at which the guns have really drowned in, ultimately.

00:11:35Nakamura was like a heel doing nothing last year, disappeared off the face of the earth,

00:11:39just kind of randomly came back as a baby face.

00:11:41Because, uh, who's the fifth?

00:11:43I've forgotten the fifth.

00:11:45Uh, who you said, Phoenix?

00:11:46Oh, Ray, Jesus, Ray Phoenix.

00:11:48Like, one of WWE's, like, sort of poorly form balls of 2025, realistically.

00:11:53All of a sudden, you're like, you're Nakamura, right, actually, like, as a tag team.

00:11:57Because they all want to kick the MFTs' ass.

00:12:00You've got Tola Tonga, and I'm going to say this again in a complimentary fashion,

00:12:05in the great Carly role, where he don't do much.

00:12:07But when he hits you, as long as you sell it like you've been hit by a truck, people will buy it.

00:12:11If he's getting eliminated, it's 100% by count-out, isn't it?

00:12:14Count-out, uh, entire stack of the team on top of him for the big dogpile pinfall,

00:12:18something like that.

00:12:19Like, they'll go to lengths to try and do that.

00:12:22And I'm not sure he is getting eliminated.

00:12:23I'm wondering if Solo serves the apron for the bulk of the match,

00:12:26and lets a lot of the team take the fall.

00:12:29Because, check out Solo's acting in this one, gang,

00:12:32because you won't have noticed, like, you won't have known this when they were taping it,

00:12:35but that man's got to stay afresh for the John Cena time is now tournament.

00:12:38Oh, yeah.

00:12:39So, all of a sudden, the commentary will presumably have to be dubbed in a little bit

00:12:43to be like, maybe Solo's resting up when he's just skiving on the apron.

00:12:48Of course, uh, of course, a tough victory for Solo to go on Monday.

00:14:10where you might have a moment where it's like,

00:14:13Solo, Tama, and Tala, and they're like,

00:14:17it's like, they're kind of running the show here.

00:14:19And then Sammy comes out, and he's like,

00:14:20well, I want to get revenge for what happened at Survivor Series weekend.

00:14:23And, well, I think Tala gets counted out,

00:14:26and I think the sole survivors are Solo, Solo Survivor,

00:14:31and Tama Tonga, because the various fronts,

00:14:35with which the MFTs were, like, relaunched in,

00:14:38were to take revenge on Sammy Zane,

00:14:41which, by victory of this, by virtue of the victory here,

00:14:43they'll have done that.

00:14:44Solo can say, one of the jobs done.

00:14:46So, one of the other ones was to reclaim the United States title,

00:14:51and Tama's been, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

00:14:52and Elia dragging off in the background.

00:14:54So, you keep him strong, and you have him sort of get this win.

00:14:56And Solo's like, see, my guy's ready.

00:14:58Elia, stop ducking my man.

00:15:01Now, the one bit the MFTs weren't ready for

00:15:03was the creeping spectre of the wayards.

00:15:07I forgot about it.

00:15:07So, once they're done with, like, you can't, I don't think.

00:15:09Are they the tag champs still?

00:15:12That's it, like, you can't, you cannot, like, I don't think anyway,

00:15:15you can't smoothly transition the MFTs out of this match

00:15:20into the wayards with, like, a defeat.

00:15:23If you want them to feud with the wayards

00:15:25and potentially even win the tag belts,

00:15:27you want that momentum, don't you?

00:16:17But there will be a growing frustration amongst the Man United.

00:16:21They won't act on it.

00:16:22They'll just be thinking, God, yeah, this guy's really trivialized.

00:16:28And he's going to wear the scars, you know, like that.

00:16:35It was like, you kind of, he's the top baby face of territory,
