Transcript
00:00Before you hit the carpet, what's the last text you fired on?
00:03If you don't see me by midnight, call the police.
00:09You'll be.
00:12Who knows? Who knows?
00:15Well, congratulations on this film.
00:17It's so amazing for it to be recognized.
00:20You know, Bob Dylan was not afraid of change in the industry.
00:23What's one change in the industry that you would like to see?
00:25Um, gosh, that was, I wasn't expecting that question.
00:33Yes, yes.
00:34Got it.
00:35We'll edit, edit, edit into these talks.
00:37The biggest change that I would like to see is, you know, I think fair wages and time for not just the people who get to come in front of cameras and talk,
00:49but there's people who are the backbone of these crews that work so hard and need to be compensated for what they're worth.
01:00And obviously you're absolutely right.
01:02And this is a night about celebrating film, celebrating the craft.
01:05What is the film that made you fall in love with Hollywood?
01:08Oh, God.
01:09Days of Heaven.
01:10Terrence Malick film comes to mind.
01:12Um, um, um, you know, just the significance of watching, going with my dad to watch a movie together and have that moment.
01:26Regardless of the movie, it's about the experience together.
01:30Yes.
01:30So.
01:31I feel the same way.
01:32My favorite movie experiences are just like, oh, I remember sitting forever with my dad.
01:35I remember, like, not wanting to go and then walking out and being like, I actually loved that movie.
01:40Thanks, dad.
01:40Yeah, and, you know, like the music in the 60s that changed culture, you know, hopefully these films that are not just ours,
01:49but also do play a part in changing culture, because when art is good, it has that ability.
01:54So, uh, I think that's really what we need to keep alive and, and just let voices ring.
01:58What do you hope the legacy of A Complete Unknown is?
02:03Um, I think it's already, I think what's done is done.
02:07Uh, the accolades can only enrich it, but I think it's really incredible, all the cast and crew have done on this film.
02:16It's a really risky thing to make about these iconic people, and we're just trying to celebrate their lives.
02:21So, um, to come out unscathed is, uh, a lot of hard work.
02:26Yeah, well, we're on the finish lines, and now you get to celebrate.
02:28Yeah, yeah.
02:29Yeah, yeah.
02:29What was that?
