00:00Okay, so girl, this new song that you got out is going viral, but what did it mean for the Janet Jackson to recognize it?

00:08To have Janet remix my song and her show, like top tier, iconic moments of my life, bucket list, amazing.

00:15She's the queen, so to be acknowledged by her in a small way just means so much.

00:19What does it mean to continue the legacy of R&B, pop, those fusions at this point in time?

00:24I mean, Janet sets the standard for that, being able to genre blend, being able to move the category of R&B, the genre, in new directions.

00:32I love being able to do that and push the boundaries of what is considered R&B, so hopefully I'll just continue to do that.

00:37When it comes to the honoree of the night, Usher, what does that mean, especially as you being in that genre as well, seeing him get his flowers?

00:45Usher is amazing. He's been putting out hits and smashes forever.

00:49Like, he deserves all the flowers in the world. So excited to see him being celebrated.

00:54So excited. He's all around what you need in an artist. Amazing performer, amazing person, amazing music. Top tier.
