00:00Wait a minute, Jordan. I saw that tape. It was real. But how do you know it was real?
00:05Jordan Klepper and Seth Meyers both took time during their late-night shows on Monday
00:09to address Friday's New York Times report that President Donald Trump had recently
00:13suggested the infamous Access Hollywood tape, in which he was heard making lewd
00:17comments about grabbing women by the pussy, is not authentic, even though he acknowledged
00:22that the voice was his and apologized shortly after the tape surfaced in October 2016.
00:27I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize.
00:31On Comedy Central's The Opposition, host Jordan Klepper put forth a comical, defensive
00:35argument questioning the validity of Trump's controversial tape.
00:38Now, I've always been skeptical of the Access Hollywood tape, he said. First of all,
00:42it comes from Hollywood.
00:43Everything is fake in Hollywood. Like CGI, Mark Ruffalo's sex appeal, or equal pay for actresses.
00:50The host proceeded to question the audience. Why would the president cast out on the
00:54authenticity of a tape he already admitted to in the past? Doesn't add up.
00:58You think you heard Trump apologize, but did you really? Trump never apologizes.
01:02That's, like, his thing. If the tape was fake, there was no apology. You're probably
01:06misremembering it. Meanwhile, during his Close to Look segment on NBC's Late Night,
01:10Myers provided video evidence to combat Trump's recent claims.
01:14Wait, you're claiming that Access Hollywood tape was fake? Are you insane? Oh, right.
01:19First of all, you admitted it was real, Myers pointed out. Second, you know how I know
01:24it's real? Because to get off the bus, you did this.
01:32That is so dumb that no one would ever think to fake that.
01:35Trump's recent claim comes in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against Roy
01:39Moore. Trump expressed his sympathy for the Alabama Senate Republican nominee,
01:43comparing the backlash to that of the groping claims he faced himself as a result of the
01:48Access Hollywood tape. On Monday, the White House said Trump isn't contesting the
01:52authenticity of the tape, with press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders saying the
01:56president hasn't changed his position. To watch the full clips of Jordan Klepper and
02:00Seth Meyers addressing Trump's claims about the authenticity of the Access Hollywood tape,
