Transcript
00:00Oops, it happened again! President Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
00:04has yet again been vandalized, with Los Angeles police investigating the situation.
00:08On Wednesday, someone spray-painted in black Putin's bitch on the concrete marker
00:12located just outside the TCL Chinese theater along Hollywood Boulevard, police said.
00:16A report was filed and the star has since been restored to its former state.
00:20Sadly, the same thing cannot be said for the United States.
00:23Now, compared to past incidents of damage Trump's star has suffered since he landed
00:26the top job, this most recent act of vandalism is the most tame.
00:30Incidentally, it's also the most accurate.
00:32The star has been completely destroyed twice, once in 2016 and again last year.
00:37The destruction was first carried out by James Lambert Otis, who took a jackhammer to the sidewalk
00:41and bedded honor. Otis pleaded no contest to one felony counter vandalism and was sentenced
00:45to community service and given a fine.
00:47Next up was Austin Michael Clay, who destroyed the star a second time last year with a pickaxe.
00:51Clay was sentenced to one day in jail, three years of formal probation and 20 days of community service.
00:56Hold up! These guys committed crimes and were actually punished for them?
01:00Hmm, don't think that's how things work these days.
01:02The star has been vandalized with graffiti and trash in additional instances, however,
01:06the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has said on multiple occasions that Trump's star will never
01:10be removed because the Walk of Fame is a historical landmark.
01:13Challenge accepted.
