00:00Russia this, Russia that.
00:02Because it's ratings.
00:04Because it's ratings?
00:05Yeah.
00:06Our ratings are incredible right now.
00:07James O'Keefe and the right-leaning investigative organization he leads, Project Veritas,
00:12has set out to prove that CNN employees are biased against President Donald Trump
00:16and are programming the network solely to achieve high ratings to the detriment of truth.
00:21On Friday, the group released its third video this week,
00:24which includes an interview with a young CNN associate producer, Jimmy Carr,
00:28who was not aware he was being recorded.
00:30The CNN morning news show, New Day producer, is shown maligning Trump, Trump voters,
00:36and White House counselor to the president, Kellyanne Conway.
00:39In the footage, Carr is seen saying of Trump,
00:41we all recognize he is a clown, that he is hilariously unqualified for this.
00:45He's really bad at this and that he does not have America's best interests.
00:49We recognize he's just effing crazy.
00:52In the video, Carr says that about 90% of CNN employees share his contention
00:56that Trump is crazy.
00:58This video, like two others published this week,
01:01one, a recorded conversation with CNN health producer John Bonifield
01:04and one with commentator Van Jones,
01:06is devoid of context about how the interview came to be.
01:09In the second video, a Project Veritas associate recorded Jones saying that,
01:13quote, the whole Russia thing is just a big nothing burger,
01:17seemingly casting doubt on the network's coverage of potential ties
01:20between the Trump campaign and administration and Russia.
01:23While CNN's public relations department released a statement in support of Bonifield on Tuesday,
01:28this time the network declined comment.
01:30The Hollywood Reporter has also reached out to Carr about the video.
01:34It now seems pretty clear that CNN's bias and dishonesty is a plague in the once-respected news organization,
01:41O'Keefe says in the third video.
01:43So guys, what's your take on Project Veritas versus CNN?
01:46And do these hidden camera clips make a difference to you in how you now view CNN?
01:50Please, let me know nicely in the comments.
01:52For The Hollywood Reporter News, I'm Paul Costabile,
01:55and I'm going to eat a nothing burger.
01:57You see?
01:58Goodbye.
01:59Mmm.
