00:00We're lucky enough that we have a couple of very good genetic packages within our district,
00:04which is Glenfinn and White Suffolks, or now called Bogo Genetics,
00:08which is the lambs here today, and they're tremendous lambs and comments made by purchasers today
00:13that this is our last sale, and I was right, they're ugly, the best lambs here today.
00:17And also we have Roe Allen polled orchards out of Yonge who are big suppliers of rams into the district.
00:22And so we have genetic packages of White Suffolks and polled orchards
00:26that have performed previously for lots of the buyers,
00:30and they come back and buy the same lambs every year because they're happy with the performance
00:33and they know the performance.
00:34We've had a really rough winter, or everybody has, and they were fed.
00:38They've been on self-fooders just in the last month, so that's given them a bit of a boost.
00:44But through winter it was tough, and we had a pretty ordinary lambing this year.
00:49Nutrition was down, obviously, through winter, and it was a very cold, bleak winter and heavy frost.
00:55And everybody's been in the same boat, you know, it's been tough.
00:59At the moment the greatest stress was probably finishing the shearing yesterday
01:02and then having all these things ready to go for the day.
01:06Got them all done, happy with them, they're all gone,
01:09and then these things are here ready to sell, so that's a bonus.
01:13Well, they've been on grain all their life, you know, as they were lambs.
01:17We didn't have as dry and bad as time as a lot of people,
01:20so we had a little bit of grass carryover and, yeah, their mothers just do very well
01:25and, yeah, they've done very well themselves.
