There was some really good buying in the younger ewes,
00:02
up to record ewes, especially now from older pastoral and the Clemson families dispersals.
00:08
Some really good frame ewes, sold pretty cheap I thought,
00:15
but the Scandinavian lamb ewes seemed to pick the job up a fair bit.
00:19
And the older ewes, some of them dipped down into sort of fat price,
00:23
but others with a bit of wool on them and frame,
00:27
sold probably $20 to $30 and sometimes $40 better than fat price.
00:35
And water's really becoming an issue, especially out on the west side of town,
00:39
on the red country.
00:40
Although just in the last week, there was a couple of areas that got topped up a bit,
00:44
but overall, a lot of them missed it.
00:46
And yeah, it's starting to play a big factor.
00:49
The water's not so much the feed, but the water.
00:51
Wanda Pastoral had some First Cross ewe hollocks,
00:54
Scandinavian lamb, at 140% to Paul Dorsett-Rams,
00:58
it made $310.
01:00
That was a good sale.
01:02
Unjoined young ewes got out to about $230-odd, I think,
01:06
over on the Gap Cook family,
01:09
purchased by Kevin Brewston family of Timora,
01:12
who'd buy them pretty well every year, those particular sheep.
01:15
Some sheep went to Dubbo, Waga, Griffith, Young,
01:20
Goulburn, and local restockers participating also.
